Fabulous instructors with a friendly and encouraging environment. When I started I could not do even half of the exercises. However, everyone was so encouraging, and the instructors so helpful in how I could modify to make things more doable, that I was motivated to stick with it. I only started barre a few weeks ago but it has been amazing! The instructors are so friendly and offer corrective adjustments throughout the class which is so helpful to know I’m actually doing the right movement to target the right muscle. PSA: You do need the grip Pilates socks, and you should either buy a pair in advance or you can buy one of the many options of Pure Barre socks they have in the front of the studio. Wear leggings because sometimes on your knees. It gets hot in there, and I always appreciate it when they turn the fan on.

I took the free foundations class at Pure Barre in Brentwood and was immediately hooked, so I signed up for the unlimited membership for $199/month and I told myself I’d go at least 5 days a week to make it worthwhile, and so far I’ve been able to keep that promise to myself!

Pure Barre has four different class formats, Classic for low impact & high intensity barre, Empower for cardio-centric strength training, Define for weight-based strength training, and Align for flexibility and balance. I’d say they’re all difficult yet doable, but Align is the easiest of the four. The workouts often blur the line between strength training and stretching in the best way.

My two favorite instructors so far are Claudia and Keani, but honestly they’re all great, well trained, and going to give you a killer workout. It is so impressive how they lead the workouts, doing the exercises with you to show you the proper form while also talking you through it, and observing the class enough to let you know if you need to make any adjustments to your form to avoid potential injuries.

The classes are between 45-50 minutes, but you’ll need to allot additional time to get your equipment before class and wipe it down and put it away at the end, as well as changing out into your regular clothes. If you’re participating in the challenges, you’ll also need a few minutes after class to get your stars and stamps. Don’t be late because they won’t let you come into the class if you arrive more than five minutes past the start time.

I love when they do themed workout days, such as Beyoncé! You can have fun with it and dress up for the class, and they play music that aligns with the theme.

For the Brentwood location, it’s slightly confusing to find the first time because of the construction, but it’s worth it, and after that you’ll always know where you’re going. Park in their free underground structure (good news, they usually have a security guard) via the alley in the back, then take the stairs up from the garage, make a right, then take those stairs to the top floor, turn right again, and you’ll see the sign pointing to Pure Barre.

You’ll shake, and they push you harder than you can push yourself, but since it’s just for short amounts of time you can do it! After just a few weeks, I definitely noticed more definition and strengths, especially in my glutes and abs.

I started doing pure barre in November 2022 & I just love all the classes, the staff is amazing, one of the best all over body exercises I’ve ever taken. It’s definitely a challenge but when you leave class you feel so good about yourself & isn’t that what working out is all about. Definitely recommend this workout for all ages.. oh if you decide to try Pure Barre you definitely have to try the new class “Define”, it’s working out with heavier weights & building muscle tone, amazing.

Feels like a scam when I'm trying to go on vacation / pause so I'm cancelling.

1. Charges late fees for classes I went to
2. Charges fees for pausing your classes
3. Doesn't follow their own cancellation policy and charges you for cancelling more than a month in advance

Great studio! Lots of mirrors to check your form and very knowledgeable staff. I would say the trainers here provide more options and variety in their workouts. The retail had less variety though, since the location is smaller. Parking is available and they validate.

Pure Barre in brentwood has been a great experience! The teachers are friendly, helpful, and always willing to answer any questions. While I dislike the fact that classes are now 50 minutes (effectively increasing the cost per one hour class compared to other studios), it does allow for more class offerings which is great for fitting a work out into your schedule.

Brentwood Pure Barre is more than a studio, it's a community. Once you walk in, you're immediately rest assured by their genuine guidance. Since having ACL surgery less than a year ago, I found Pure Barre to fulfill fitness before giving up soccer and running track majority of my life. Well, one door closed but Pure Barre has expanded my rehab mentally and physically by regaining my purpose as a fitness and athlete junky. While enduring a full body, aerobic, dance and composure workout. I can't praise the Brentwood studio enough but I can praise all of the empowerment, stamina, and support Pure Bar has embarked on my life. I've taken classes from Belle, Allison, Prima and Kayla but yet every instructor has inspired me to overcome my surgery. I've learned to embrace and love the burn so thank you Pure Barre, for all of your patience and support each and every class!!❤️

This is a great workout and a great location! All the teachers are awesome, they change their routines so you don't get bored, the front desk folks are friendly, and the parking is easy (under the building). The owners are really nice too. I once had a shoulder injury that unexpectedly kept me from working out for a long time and they extended my package so it wouldn't expire before I could use the classes.

Great studio and great workout. Easy validated parking, clean studio, and great teachers. My favorite teacher is Allison who is great at personalizing the experience and correcting your form. That said all the teachers are great...but make sure to give the studio at least a week and 2-4 classes before making your decision about Pure Barre.

The free week sucks you in and now I have become a pure barre believer! It takes a few classes to really start to get the technique but once you do, the burn is so good. I definitely felt more toned especially in my core and that I had better posture after coming to barre on a regular basis. I will say that 9/10 classes are awesome and you get a killer workout and the other 1/10 is not as quite as good, this is usually just because the class is completely full and there are a few new people that require a lot of help from the instructor. This is a great strength work out that will leave you feeling great!

I started going to Pure Barre when I was 3 months pregnant - going 2-3 times per week. Not only did I maintain my pre-baby physique, I actually became stronger in all those small muscles that are often neglected from head to toe. Having just given birth 6 weeks ago, I can honestly say this program not only made my delivery swift (1 push!), but also made my post-pregnancy body bounce back within 2 weeks. I just went to my first class post-pregnancy and not only is it challenging to again tone my body, but it is also a great way to elongate all those muscles that are constantly cramped from dealing with a little one.

I've been to a few barre places in Brentwood, but Pure Barre in Brentwood gives the most challenging barre workout I've ever experienced. It's a great place to push your limits and get our of your comfort zone if you feel that you've sunk into a workout rut. Love this place! I always feel stronger and more energized after these classes. It's amazing how hard it is to move in such small increments.
