I love this place, and I go as often as i possibly can. It's a pilates/yoga/barre fusion type workout, and anyone can and should give this type of workout a chance. The owner and staff at the Culver City location are all incredibly warm and welcoming, and you will definitely be encouraged to keep pushing yourself forward. Don't be afraid, just try a class and see for yourselves. ☺️

I have been doing Pure Barre for close to 15 years bc it’s the best and most effective workout for me. I’ve recommended PB to friends who want the long, lean muscles like dancers, targeting all the areas women typically want to address (embrace the shake and burn!). I especially love the Culver City studio the most bc of Ali and her team of amazing instructors and staff, who genuinely care about their clients. The studio is clean, spacious, they have great merch (I have to resist the urge to shop every time!), they plan themed classes and socials, making it a place where you want to go and hang. Ali and team foster an inclusive, warm and fun environment while offering a challenging and highly satisfying workout. I can’t say enough great things about PBCC!

Pure Barre is an amazing place to get a uniquely tailored workout, one that is a fantastic fusion of pirates, yoga, and ballet. They offer multiple types of classes, so you can structure your workout goals accordingly ie. Classic barre vs barre with weight lifting (Define) vs aerobic barre (Empower). If you stick with it, you will definitely appreciate the results of all your hard work. On top of everything, the staff members are truly lovely people, and each class is really rewarding.

I have been a member of this studio since it first opened back in 2019, and I couldn’t recommend coming here enough. The workouts are always challenging but fun, and there’s a variety of types you can take depending on what you’re looking for (more strength-based, something gentler, etc)
What really makes this a great place to come is the community. The owner, Ali, and her staff are exceptional. Everyone is beyond kind and they really make you look forward to coming to class. All of the members are great too. This is truly a studio that welcomes everyone and strives to make everyone feel comfortable. Whether you’ve done barre before or are a newbie, you have to try a class here!

The carpet/mat floor desperately needs vacuuming (gross!). One instructor was terrific - lots of energy and seemed very interested in his clients. A different instructor made zero effort to introduce herself (to a new client) and, I believe, never said anyone’s name during the entire class. She wore a baggy sweater that hung open in the front making it difficult to see her demos. There are creepy men hanging around the parking lot. Wouldn’t be shocked if a car was broken into or stolen there. Cannot recommend this Pure Barre location.

What a gem of a barre studio! I've been taking Pure Barre for almost 11 years, and have taken at several studios in LA-- but never felt like I truly belonged until Pure Barre Culver City. Every member of the staff knows you, and actually cares about you-- and the members are like a giant family. I'm almost always able to snag any class I want, and if not-- the waitlist is such a giant plus! The instructors are so well-versed in what they teach, and at times I feel like I'm getting a personal training session with the amount of attention they give each person in class.

Plenty of parking upstairs and downstairs, free water-filling station, so many cubbies to store your stuff, and SUCH a good workout.

My wife and I would recommend this as a great couples workout. A note to the weight bros: Barre helps strengthen the core, lower back and legs.

As for the studio itself, Ally the owner and all the instructors are incredibly kind and professional. The studio is clean and the environment is friendly to the point of having a community feel.

Also important note for LA residents: parking is plenty both below in the mall and above right next to the studio.

The studio is beautiful and the community welcoming. The instructors are phenomenal.
Why aren’t more people talking about barre? It is a fantastic workout and if you are in Culver City this is the perfect place to start.
Only downside, and it isn’t PBCC fault, it is a bit of a drive for me. Otherwise I would be here 4-5 days a week.

Had my first class here and it was great. Everyone was nice and helpful. I’ve been looking for another activity to pair with what I already do & this is the right fit. I will be back.

I took this class today with instructor Kelly not going to lie. I was so nervous haven’t worked out in a minute I loved the intensity of it and I loved how she kept motivating me I ended up signing up with 4 classes a month and will continue to just go up after that, don’t even think about it take that class and you won’t regret it!

I had my first barre class here and it was great! Challenging workout that was different than your typical at-home workouts, clean studio, encouraging and helpful instructors (thanks Kelly!) and above all else, I really appreciated the welcoming environment that the staff and members created. Some other studios felt less welcoming as if they only cared about members and not newcomers. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I definitely want to come back!

A great workout! I'm not very experienced with barre, and usually I'm out running or rock climbing. Kevin was very kind and helped me get the hang of the technique. It's good cross training, and this studio has a great community vibe.

LA is full of fitness studios so it's hard to stand out here, but this Pure Barre location is head and shoulders above the pack! I tried every Pure Barre on the Westside and lots of other workout studios through ClassPass and this is the one that kept me coming back.

Ali, the studio owner, is incredibly kind and has done a very thoughtful job of creating a warm community feeling. The instructors are all amazing and the classes offer a great challenge mixed with the support and encouragement you need to make it through--and to want to come back again the next day! I would give it more than 5 stars if I could!

Wouldn’t let me in with my personal scooter even though it is foldable and my only way of transportation since I don’t have a car. Once folded it takes barely any space and I’ve never had an issue with it. Barely apologizing about it and took my name of the class. Would not recommend going just for the way they treat you.

I've been coming here for almost a year and I've never been to any exercise facility that I enjoy as much as this place. Since I started going not only my physical well-being improved, my mental focus, mood, everything has improved drastically. It's a game changer for me. What's special about this place is the instructors are personable, they correct your form, cheer you on, know you by name. To sum it up, Ali runs this place right. I feel encouraged, excited to come, because this place lifts you up! If you're new, the first few weeks might be tough for you but I guarantee it'd be worth your time continuing to come. The workout, instructors are worth it.

The absolute best place to work out! Ali and the entire team of Pure Barre have created an amazing community with all positive vibes. I love the variety of classes and how they’re constructed, I feel like I work out every muscle in my body in every class. I actually immediately started noticing results both in appearance and strength. I used to have Classpass membership trying out different places around LA, but as soon as I found this PBCC I knew I needed to join this community.

I LOVE this studio! The owner, Ali, has created a truly special community with the most welcoming vibe. Even after doing classes regularly for over 3 years, each workout is truly a challenge. The instructors are supportive, encouraging and highly skilled. Each time I take a class, I leave the studio in a lighter and happier mood - a tough workout wrapped up in a warm hug! So grateful for Pure BARRE CC. Check them out, they are awesome!

I joined this studio after recently moving to Los Angeles and having a baby, and they have been the most welcoming community. Ali, the owner, is the one of the kindest people you will meet, and also an amazing instructor. All of the instructors are top notch, offering guidance on form and modifications as needed. I highly recommend to anyone in the area.

I really enjoy this pure barre. They are modification friendly, body neutral, encouraging, and safe. I enjoy every instructor here.

The workouts are challenging and can be modified for most levels and bodies. You can do the workout without any of the equipment and take as many breaks as you need - the sequences allow you the flexibility to jump right back in when you’re ready.

The BEST Pure Barre studio. The owner and all of the instructors are INCREDIBLE, not just at what they do but as people. Coming to classes here is something I look forward to every day, and it's such a welcoming and wonderful community. Not to mention, the studio itself is beautiful. The workout is tough (exactly as you'd hope it would be!), and the instructors are always there to help with form and to ensure you're having a fun time and a good workout. Couldn't recommend the studio enough!! 100 out of 5 stars!!!

Leave in pain but with a smile on your face!

I absolutely love this studio. I’ve been coming here for almost a year now and when I first started, I was a bit like some of you in the sense that I saw the word barre and was like: “I’ve never did ballet before in my life. I don’t think this is for me.” Oh, how wrong I was. After taking the introduction class, I jumped straight into the more intermediate classes and found myself loving every workout.

The instructors are amazingly kind, helpful, and hilarious. They will correct your posture and stay behind class to explain any techniques you may not have got the first time around. I absolutely love Alison for always creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment you walk through the door and Haley, Laura, Kelly, Kevin, and Becca for not only providing such amazing workouts, but creating a fun atmosphere with upbeat music and jokes sprinkled along the way.

The studio offers a diverse community with people of all ages and a range of experiences, some who are super well versed and others who are just starting out. Nobody judges you. It’s an extremely comfortable environment. The workouts are as hard as you want them to be. Some days I find myself not being able to push myself as hard as others and that’s okay. I’ve seen amazing results with my physique and strength even with only coming two to three times a week (sometimes skipping weeks because life gets in the way). I literally don’t go to any other studio because I love how great everyone is here. I may leave in pain (and what I mean by that, I mean sore), but this place never fails to put a smile on my face. Even on my busiest of days.

The studio is spotless, there’s a ton of parking, they offer early morning and night classes, and they host little events on holiday’s that truly solidify the community experience. Even if you’re a busy bee, you can come in to smash your workout and leave with no hassle. If you’re hesitant on trying pure barre, I’d say give this studio a try. You might surprise yourself at how much you like it

Truly the best pure barre studio and experience. The instructors are all so kind, uplifting and knowledgeable of the workouts. I’ve been coming here for a year and a half when a friend invited me and I’m so glad she did! This studio is so welcoming to people of all ages and fitness levels and has a great culture and vibe. High marks to the owner, Ali, and her stellar staff.

After months of not working out i was scared to try my first class. Yes it's hard. But the overall vibe is extremely welcoming but not in an uncomfortable way - the instructors help but don't hound you. 7 classes down and I'm improving so much! There are some people in amazing shape here, but always a couple of us who aren't nearly as fit. It never feels awkward. The workout is as hard as you want to make it. Also extremely easy on all my little injuries. Love this place.

100% recommended! The instructors are seriously some of the nicest people ever. I feel very welcomed and I appreciate how each visit I get so much positive encouragement and support to have a great workout. Another plus is the cute dog that hangs around the studio 😍🥰 love you Mama!

Some old lady who either works here or is way too bored and involved in other people's lives will go and get security if she sees you using the empty parking lot with no traffic for roller skate practice. I get why people kick skateboarders out they're loud they scuff things and smash their boards into everything. I was literally just rolling my soft wheels on cement trying to practice fundamentals turning when I see some crotchety old lady in workout gear walk up the stairs and double back only for security to show up 10min later. So my guess is only Karen's go here I'd stay away.

I purchased a membership at this studio, and so far I have managed to work out pretty consistently! I try to supplement with other types of workouts, but this barre workout can still be quite challenging even after attending classes for several months. All the instructors I've had so far are great and somehow manage to remember everyone's names. I love how there's plenty of free parking (unheard of in this area)!
