I would not recommend this club. The management is exceptionally poor; they consistently fail to reply to emails, often requiring several follow-up messages even for critical information like billing details. They also unreasonable charge membership termination fee without explaination. The customer service is unacceptable. However, the coaches are excellent. If the coaches were to move to another location, I would strongly advise following them there.

Surprisingly good workout. I am pretty active and usually do intense cardio and strength training 6+ times/week. Iβve done barre3 before and still doing it in my recovery days because it is not challenging to me at all. But pure barre classic is really challenging and I like it a lot, it targets small muscle groups which rarely got targeted.
Personally I think it is super similar to megaformer workout, and it really stands out comparing to the barre classes I took before. I took define and empower also, but classic is my favorite :)

Opaque late policy. I booked my first class via Classpass, didn't receive any notifications about their late policy, and arrived late. I knew I would be charged a late fee by Classpass, but didn't know and didn't agree that I would not be allowed to attend the class. If I had known that, I would have never booked this business.

Pure barre is definitely my favorite barre studio. I love the different class formats for a variety of workouts, and each class keeps things moving fast enough for it to be fun. The space is clean, teachers are great, and ambiance is supportive and inclusive. Classes kick my booty in a good way!

I like the exercise , but the payment/billing has issues, I was charged twice without any credits delivered within 20 days (2025), the 2nd time happened after I came to the studio and chatted about the first issue, there was no email receipt or text message for the 2nd charge. I had to replace my card .

Iβve been taking classes at Pure Barre Palo Alto for more than three years and itβs the first time I've committed to a physical activity for so long. The teachers are so friendly and supportive. I love being there every morning.

Iβve been taking classes at this studio for about six months now, and it is now one of my favorite ways to strength train. The classes challenge me (in a good way!), and the instructors are kind, encouraging, and always provide corrections to help with my form. I had a hard time honing in on the right postures during my first few classes, but by the tenth I was totally hooked! Highly recommend.

2025 update:
I am still with Pure Barre. They have added a bunch of different classes to get a cardio, strength training, mobility and flexibility.
Such a nice mix! Still addicted to it.
The studio has very good teachers, and the best thing, new teachers are coming. There is business continuity.
Pure Barre in Palo Alto is one of my favorite places. Not only the work out is addictive and super efficient, I love all of the instructors, management, their attention to details, the schedule etc. It is a very well organized business. Every time I take the class, I become relaxed and happy. In other fitness clubs I used to choose classes based on the instructor and choose my favorites. Here all of the teachers are great, which, in addition to a very flexible schedule doesn't leave you any excuses not to exercise!

Love Pure Barre community! Wish Palo Alto had more teachers but appreciate their dedication to tuck, tone, and shake. Pure Barre often offers classes even on Holidays which I appreciate greatly.

It's an addiction! I've been doing pure barre for over two years now and every class is still a challenge. They constantly switch up the workouts and challenge you to use your own body's resistance, so the work never gets easy. Out of the many studios I've been to, I specifically love the friendly and helpful staff at PB Palo Alto, and I've found there's such a nice community here. Highly recommend!

Great workout and really professional and encouraging teachers. I tried other barre classes but quickly lost interest until I tried Pure Barre. The upbeat music and changing routines keep it fun!

Really bad false advertising - they say the first week is free but thatβs not what it means at all! They lure you in by saying you can do a free trial and then tell you that you have to pay. Super overpriced, no principals of customer service.

FUN & PERFECT introduction to something completely new to me! LOVE the merging of Pilates and resistance training, great music and the entire studio setup. Greatly appreciated instructor Nicole Montenegro that took the time to explain techniques and terms before class and the way she kept checking in with everyone!π

Poorly ventilated. Little flow to the class. I like the location but they need a shower so that participants can take a class and then meet friends for dinner.

"I LOVE going to bar(re)." No, not that kind of bar.
Barre is a combination of yoga, pilates, and ballet. Your own body weight is the main weight that you "lift." & it indeed works you hard! I was first introduced to Pure Barre by my boss and fell in love with how great of a workout it was that I purchased a 10-classes pass. In almost 10 classes, I've noticed my core definitely got stronger.
The instructors at Pure Barre Palo Alto are super friendly and helpful. Don't be afraid to be in the front row! That is where you will get the most help with your form. & don't be embarrassed if you can't get the moves right. They are there to help you :) and that is what sets apart from taking a group exercise class at the gym, where the class is a lot bigger so the instructor can't go around the room looking at each form and technique.

This is my go to workout spot. The teachers are so nice, encouraging, and challenging. And any day of the week the schedule and teacher changes. You'll get a great workout. The first time is tough. But once you get the hang of it, what was tough before is your warm up a month from now. Bring a towel and water and your sticky socks! I Love the barre family! Be sure to follow on fb and if so that you can follow along for any promotions or contests going on!

Pure Barre has been the only workout that has stuck more than a few months for me! It's a total body work out (low-impact arms, abs, thighs, and 'seat'), but not only that, it's the one hour I get to myself to not think about anything else. The class is fast-paced, the music is great, the environment is friendly and you barely have time to think about anything besides how much longer you have to hold your thighs!
Your first class might be confusing, but I promise you'll wake up sore the next morning. Stick with it!
Oh and don't forget to bring socks!
