Started Pure Barre in March with a free trial class and enjoyed it! They offer different classes throughout different times of the day everyday which is awesome. The instructors and staff are amazing and welcoming!
If you’re looking for a steady routine that’ll help challenge you both physically and mentally, I’d recommend trying it out!

I joined Pure Barre Pleasanton a couple months ago when the Pure Barre studio closer to me closed. I was hesitant to join another studio, however everyone has been very welcoming. The teachers and choreography challenge you. The studio offers a variety of classes at different times of the day. The studio is also large, clean, and cute.

Love working out at Pure Barre. They make scheduling the variety of classes easy, and 200+ classes in, I feel much stronger than when I was a couch potato.

On a whim (and thanks to the power of social media algorithms), I signed up for a free intro class with my friend over the summer, thinking it would be fun to try together.
To my surprise, as someone who’s never truly stepped foot inside a gym and struggles with routine in general, I’ve kept coming back.
All of the instructors and staff here have been great, and have an astounding ability to recall everyone’s faces and names.
As other reviewers have also mentioned, I’ve especially appreciated Celine’s energy and sense of safe space she creates in her classes. Alita has also been incredibly patient and flexible in working with me through any scheduling issues, and I’ve been thankful for instructors like Nicole and Taylor who are proactive in correcting and explaining form!

Love this studio and all the staff!! I’ve never been a “working out” type of person and this studio has changed my whole life and perspective. I’m now obsessed with working out. I love the studio atmosphere, the classes, and the instructors. Celine’s classes and her energy are the best. She motivated me to get an unlimited membership and I’m never looking back. Thank you Pure Barre Pleasanton ♥️

Both personable and professional. Exceptional reaction to having to shutdown due to the virus - they extended any expiring credits, and also gave free access to online sessions. Re the in person experience: they make sure not to overfill the room, the instructors provide personal adjustments without drawing attention to you, and they understand any alternatives/accommodations you must make. Cardio wise, they slightly exceed what I got from Jazzercise (Fitbit measured) I am a 60ish male without a history of regular exercise, and the classes still work for me, even their empowered classes

I have been building my exercise routine with Pure Barre, and I love it! The instructors are incredible, and they infuse every class with energy. It is really helpful when they guide me with the correct form for the moves to get the maximum benefit. There are different moves in every class, but one thing is constant: a thorough and fun workout.

I am a HUGE fan of Pure Barre and love all the instructors here and classes. It is always clean with plenty of locker space and everyone is super nice. I always come back sweating and looking forward to my next class. The only reason for the 4 stars is because I have come a few minutes late and either the door was locked or I was not allowed into the class. For someone with two babies under 4, it's hard to always be exactly on time or earlier. Otherwise, I definitely recommend checking this place out!

I always visit my parents place back in Castro Valley now and then, and was so happy to find Pure Barre as my fitness studio during my visits. The classes really challenges you and the instructors are awesome! I’ve been to a few different barre studios but I really feel like I get the best workouts at Pure Barre. I’m excited that other Pure Barre studios are opening all over the Bay Area.

I just completed my first introductory week at Pure Barre in Pleasanton and my only regret is that I did not start sooner! I've heard so many good things, but I still felt so intimidated to sign up. I finally bit the bullet and signed up for my first week FREE and completed 5 classes! Each class has been challenging and really pushes you to your limit. But honestly, I always leave a class happy that I came. And even though my muscles feel like jello afterwards, the next day, I am actually looking forward to my next class (unlike other work outs I've tried). The instructors have been so encouraging, so upbeat and know just what to say to keep you motivated. I just a signed up for my first month and can't wait to see my abilities and body progress as I continue!
(I'd also like to add that I had a baby last year and haven't been able to find the time, or the motivation to work out since before I was pregnant. So I just wanted to say that although challenging, this is doable for new moms who have been out of the game for a while.)

Love this studio! I recently just started getting active so I am definitely a beginner when it comes to fitness and physical activity. This studio is awesome because I never feel discouraged. I usually have to stop a few times during class to catch my breath as it is rigorous but I've always felt really positive, especially with Nicole and Millie's class. I've also taken the 6AM classes with Taylor as it works with my work schedule. The instructors make you want to come to class and give your most energy. Definitely feels like a community going to the classes and I feel like instructors give you personal attention, correcting your form and encouraging you to push harder. Definitely would suggest getting a membership if it works with your schedule! This is a fun but challenging workout!
UPDATE: I've been going to class 6 times a week now for almost 3 weeks and I already see a change in my body, especially my glutes. I thought my body may get used to the workout by now and it would be less effective, but the instructors find a way to switch up the routine and try new exercises. I feel challenged each time I come to class!

I have a love hate relationship with barre classes. It is super intense and my body starts to shake during the workout, but it's definitely worth it the next day when you're all sore. Since I'm on ClassPass, I love being able to go to Purre Barre when I visit my parents.
Pure Barre in Pleasanton is awesome. I've only been a few times, but every time the instructor has been pleasant and encouraging. They know who's new and are always mindful of correcting your posture and position as to not hurt yourself and to have the best possible workout. I love that it's always clean and the folks that work there are very nice. I would totally go more often if I lived nearby!

First of all, this review is not based on the class we took because that was absolutely AWESOME.
My review is solely based on the lack of helpfulness from the staff (including the owner) as well as the AWFUL booking system of Pure Barre as a whole.
As a newbie to Pure Barre, I wanted to go to my first class with a friend so I invited two girlfriends along for the ride. Our first experience with Pure Barre was already a weird one – two of us signed up and paid online for a package of $20 for the first class and second class for free, but never received a confirmation that our classes were booked and paid for. We thought it was strange, but weren’t sure since it was our first time at Pure Barre, so we proceeded to attend the class that we booked for Sunday at 11am.
Here is where our experience took a turn for the worst: we arrived to class five minutes early to find out that our names were NOT on the schedule or searchable in their system, which also meant that our payment was not recorded in their system either. The girl at the front desk played it off and let us know that their system had been acting up and let us know that we should be able to figure it out. It was a bit chaotic right before class, but the girl at the front didn’t want us to miss class, so she let us go back and said we could figure out the situation after. CLASS WAS AMAZING and I was looking forward to purchasing the Bride to Be package (unlimited classes for 3 mo. for $400). However, my mind swiftly changed.
The girl at the front desk was trying to be helpful, so she called the owner who said that the Pleasanton location doesn’t offer the deal we signed up for. Due to Pure Barre operating as a franchise and each studio being under different ownership, they were unable to apply the $20 we had already paid (for 2 classes) and we would have to pay the Pleasanton price of $24 for a single class. (What was strange is right before this was told to us, we were told that they should just be able to apply the $20 payment we had already made and just have us pay $4.)
We were told that we probably booked under a different location and that we would need to try to contact our bank to get the situation ironed out. WHAT?! I think it’s ridiculous that a franchise, who does not consistently offer the same promotions and pricing across all locations, has a booking system that is all interlinked. If each studio operates under different ownership and managment, but clients book online, I guarantee this isn’t the first time they’ve had this issue, yet they seemed so confused by our scenario.
Pure Barre Pleasanton, due to your lack of willingness to help not only one client, but THREE (since I brought two friends with me), none of us will return and we will definitely share our negative experience with our friends. I SO badly wanted to purchase the Bride to Be package to get in shape for my wedding, but that $400 will go to another, more accommodating boutique fitness location.

I bought a Groupon for Pure Barre Pleasanton (PBP) back in February for two weeks of unlimited classes. When I attended my first class, the "barrerista" provided a quick tour of the facility and demonstration of a "tuck" and "heavy tailbone." During class, the instructor welcomed and introduced me by name and ensured I did the movements correctly. That same day, one of the clients was completing her 100th class, and everyone was cheering her on. There was so much positive energy in the studio, I just had to come back for more. I've been taking classes at PBP for about 6 months now (I signed up for an annual membership) and celebrated my 100th class several weeks ago. The studio is clean and conveniently located within a mile from a freeway exit. The PB classes are low impact with isometric movements. Platform classes were recently added, which provide a much faster pace and get your heart pumping! Classes are offered 7 days a week and at various times throughout the day to accommodate different schedules/lifestyles. All of the staff members are friendly and committed to making each class a challenging but positive experience. I highly recommend PBP!!! Lift*Tone*Burn 👯

Pure Barre is a challenging but fun workout I would highly recommend. I've typically been a road and trail runner who didn't do any strength training and minimal stretching. This has been a great addition to my workout schedule and the results have been noticeable. The Pleasanton studio also makes this workout even better! From the lovely barreristas to the amazing instructors and the fellow classmates the whole experience is wonderful. These classes always make my days better!

The small isometric movements have a meditative effect on you. It helps calm your nerves. When you're done you feel so great! You want to come every day! Plus, the music is much better than other gyms. It's perfect for working out. It fast and rhythmic when you need it and slow and quiet when you're cooling down.

I started coming to Pure Barre Pleasanton at the end of April and haven't stopped since! This is an amazing place that can completely transform your fitness routine if you put the time in. The first class is a little intimidating for everyone, but the best thing you can do is keep coming and stick with it -- the results will show. I feel stronger than ever now and it is thanks to the wonderful PBP staff. They are always so friendly and encouraging (although trust me, their workouts will kick your butt!). My advice is to dive in right away and commit yourself to the new client special -- it's so worth it!

I started Pure Barre over a year ago when I was looking for a new workout. It's my favorite workout class I've ever taken! The classes are engaging and challenging, and you will definitely see results if you go regularly. The Pure Barre Pleasanton staff is always friendly and there's a wonderful feeling of community in the studio.

This class was exactly what I have needed.. I haven't been in a strength training and core class in ages. (Besides different styles of yoga) It was challenging enough that I will be able to see my progress as I continue. The studio was very classy. They greeted me warmly, educated me on the lingo and what to expect, informed me when my form was a wee off with patients and care and dropped off a handwritten thank you note during cool down! I have taken classes at studios and gyms worldwide and I have never received a handwritten thank you note! It took me back to my ballet days 20 years ago, yet not nearly as graceful lol! I am looking forward to seeing my progress and continuing. I am interested in seeing how my muscles develop with this vs weight strength training. I've always been really muscular which I don't like being thick. I want a leaner look.

I love this studio! The instructors are all great, demonstrate each form, correct students' postures throughout class, and the workouts are effective.
I cycle through 4-5 different workout studios regularly (barre, pilates, cycling, lagree) and this is definitely one of my favorites.
I take barre regularly at Pure Bare, Cardiobarre, and Barre3, but this studio has the best music and their playlist always has music that is current.
If you want flat abs, try out Nicole C.'s classes!
