I was so nervous at first, mainly because of body insecurity. But seeing all the different shapes and skill levels made it an amazing experience! I couldn’t believe how amazing I felt during and after the session, despite the heat and unfamiliar positions! Will definitely be going again!

My review is for the childcare option, not the yoga classes, which I love.

I brought my 2 year old to the childcare room, and when I dropped him off, he was the only child there with two teachers. One of the teachers at least tried to engage him while the other sat in the corner on her phone. I had brought a bag full of snacks, books, and stickers. I don’t mind him watching a show on the projected screen but assumed the teachers would at least try to play with him. When I got back he was in front of a tablet by himself. He was hungry, and it didn’t look like they offered him any of the food I left for him. He might as well have been by himself.

When I went to yoga today, I didn’t bring him but the door to the childcare room was open. I observed 4-5 kids in there shouting and playing while the babysitter sat staring at her phone. The only time she talked to the kids was to yell at one of them. I won’t bring my child back, and for the sake of the other kids here, this program needs improvement.

Ra Yoga Long Beach has officially become my go-to reset button.

I’ve taken Yin RaStore with Dante, Rebekah, Patrick and each class offered a unique vibe. Dante’s sessions are deep and meditative — his classes are like a deep tissue massage for your soul. Rebekah brings warmth and intuitive pacing that helped me truly relax and melt into stillness. Patrick’s sweet and silly presence made the entire class feel personal and supported.

But let’s talk about Ra Vinyasa Level 2 with Allie. Real ones know. I walked in fully expecting to get my ass kicked — and I did. The room was STEAMYYY, the flow was fun, and my ego was gently handed back to me on a sweaty yoga mat, like “here you go, sweetie — try again.” Came out drenched, humbled, and feeling like I exorcised every stagnant energy cell in my body. I loved it!

The space is clean, welcoming, and easy to get to. I always leave feeling better than when I walked in. Highly recommend checking out this studio if you’re looking for a mix of intensity and restoration in your practice.

Hazel’s strength is the BEST. It meet my sauna, cardio & strength needs all in one. Other teachers are hit or miss, & haven’t found other classes that I like. Typically not a fan of hot yoga, so take any shade with a grain is salt. But the Strenght with Hazel is next level.

I joined this studio in February of 2024. I was 3 months postpartum, feeling really weak & overwhelmed. What started as "I will just try it for a month" turned into my healthiest obsession and my happiest place. After a year of joining Ra I ask you to please give it a try. Everyone that works there is very nice, the classes are amazing.. some of my favorite classes are Vinyasa 2 with Bobby or Karen, Yogalates with Karen or Nadine, Hot Ra with Aubrey & Meditation with Christine. ALL of their classes are great & the front desk is extremely helpful! Truly truly love this place.

I had an amazing first experience at this hot yoga studio! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted right away, which made me feel so welcome. I used a Groupon (which I always worry about), but the front desk guy was incredibly helpful and made sure everything went smoothly. He showed me around, explained where to put my things, and even gave me a free rental mat for being a first-timer!

As for the class, the room was hot but manageable, and the workout was intense! It was exactly what I needed to kickstart my fitness journey again. I'm already excited to see my progress after using the Groupon for a month. I can’t recommend this place enough, and I’m looking forward to coming back!

First of all, the instructors are fantastic at RA. And the front desk people are warm, and welcoming and amazing. There are times when they even have childcare which is a huge perk for Moms and even as someone who doesn’t need that, I love that they do this. There is a pretty nice vibe of community here; it’s a place I look forward to going to, and after all these years, it feels like home.

And these are the reasons I put of with the way they book classes and the fact that the studio is completely oversold. Each spot in the room has a number, when you make your reservations on the app, you pick a spot; sometimes for extra fun you will pick a spot at the exact same time as someone else and NOT get the spot and then return to find the class sold out. The more you pay in your membership, the earlier you can make your reservations meaning you will be more likely to get the spot you like, and get into the class at all. If you’re like me, and you’ve been a member for a long time, your membership gets less and less valuable and you make your reservations later and later, often times running into waitlists. As if this isn’t enough, they run promos like “30 classes in 30 days” which packs the classes even earlier. So, if you’re a NEW member, the pricing/reservation scheme really benefits you, but once you’ve been a member for a year or more, you too will find the pricing/reservation scheme doesn’t serve you as well, of course you always have the chance to increase your membership by like 40% or more. It’s almost like they’re punishing people for being long term members. It’s bananas.
So come for the people, stay for the people, but understand the people in the office aren’t concerned about long term members.

My home studio is Costa Mesa, but I came to the Long Beach studio this evening to drop off some flyers and try a class. Jason led Vinyasa 2 this evening and absolutely killed it. Ra Yoga is the SPOT, y'all! Been doing yoga for 10+ years and moved to Lakewood last month. What I can say is that I truly appreciate the variety & availability of classes (usually 7+ a day).

Plus - the staff is outstanding, the facilities are clean & well-maintained, and the instruction itself is truly stellar.

But wait there's more - parking is nearly always pretty friggen low-stress during the week AND the Ra Yoga app is about as flawless and seamless as they come.

Unfortunately, even before attending a class I had the worst experiences with the front desk. First off, THEY NEVER ANSWER THEIR CALLS! I had weeks trying to get in touch with someone so I can go ahead and schedule my class; when I finally got someone on the phone, they left me on hold for 30 minutes. I decided to drive over and let them know I was still on the phone waiting for the past 30 minutes, the receptionist continued question if I was sure I was left on hold, I showed her the phone record and the active phone call.
Today, I attended my first class, the lack of space in the room didn’t bother me too much, however, the MALE RECEPTIONIST AT 6:30am who greeted me WAS EXTREMELY RUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He decided to give me a so-called tour of the place and when I asked if I needed weights for the specific class I was taking, he said “I thought I made it clear, and obvious when I gave you the tour that you needed them.” He gave me a 20 sec tour and expected me to take notes on everything I needed. I have a lot of girl friends and sisters who asked me today about my experience and unfortunately, to all I did not and will not recommend this place.

I love my RA yoga family. I’ve taken most of all the regular teachers and they’re all great and their own beautiful way! I’ve been at this studio for about two years and have tried other places, but nothing compares to the welcoming family like environment I feel at this studio. I am challenged to build mental and physical strength in every class. There’s always a class to suit my needs for how I feel that day physically and mentally. Some of my favorite instructors are Karen, Bobby, Marisa, Bridge, Christine, Rebecca, Aubrey, Corey, and Jill. The front desk staff make it that much more home like because they’re friendly, personable, and very helpful. Shout out to Leslie, Alisha, Jonah, Matthew, Azalea, Isabel, and Kehlani.

Ra has been life-changing for me. I thought I'd go my whole life as a non-exerciser, but the instructors here still have me hooked over a year later. I love the Hot Ra classes. The class led by Aubrey is great if you prefer silence during your practice. I appreciate that Aubrey doesn't play music during the session, because it allowed me to sort of meditate during the practice, which felt more pure and restorative. The rooms seem to be soundproof because I don't hear anything from outside. There are reserved seats so that you don't feel overcrowded, and ambient lighting that instructors can control. The radian heat makes your body feel warm but not too hot, just perfect to get a good invigorating sweat. Highly recommend Ra Yoga!

This was my first visit, and the instructor was decent. Nonetheless, the yoga mat they supplied was in terrible condition. If I had known their rental mats weren't properly maintained for customers, I would have brought my own.
The room was humid and warm, packed with people. I didn’t have enough space to fully extend my arms and legs without touching others.
As time went on, the room became even more sweltering with no air circulation, and the mat's odor intensified.

This visit marked both my first and final time here.

I'm bummed I'm giving this rating and review, but here it goes. I have really been enjoying the classes that I've been taking recently at Ra. My most recent experience was terrible. For some reason, there is a spot #34 (assigned mat spaces here) which is located directly in front of a door that swings into it. I also think there should be enough room to comfortably preform whatever series is being practiced not everyone practically on top of each other. There is a 5 minute grace period here, which I can appreciate, but not when it means I'm getting trampled on by people trying to get into a class which they are delaying. My mat and my legs continued to take a beating even after late comers because at least 5 people left this class early. The final insult was someone trying to forcefully barge into the room and hit me during our final shavasana. I will not be returning to this company and would advice anyone to think twice before booking a class. Also, I did not appreciate being sweat on by someone other than myself (the instructor standing because they gave their spot away in class) or the way the class interactions took place-this location seems to have a select few favorite regulars who they cater to and call out during class. If you're not one of those regulars, don't expect feedback. The front desk staff are nice and the amenities are clean, parking is a pain. That being said, are much nicer, less cramped studios in Long Beach and South Bay who won’t put you in front of a door to get trampled on and have your mat dinged up.

I came here for the Hot Ra class, which is basically the 60 minute modified version of a Bikram yoga class. It was good for newer students- the instructor tried to keep it relatively cool - the description online was 105-110 degrees but she cooled it down once we got to 105 about halfway through the class.
I liked that the studio rooms have colored lights (color therapy?) where they started with red and switched to yellow for the duration of the class.
The music is meditative and non-distracting, which I appreciate.
Good balance of men-women, more in the 30s plus range, has a kind of Corepower yoga studio vibe, but more personal touches like a cute blackboard drawing about finding your direction, and a book exchange corner.
4 showers in the locker room and 2 bathrooms.

I'm a busy mom with two kiddos and wanted to make myself a priority and have done some yoga in the past mostly via youtube videos during shutdown and know the basic moves. However, I've just really started my yoga journey after being a couch potato/gaining 20lbs so I started at negative in the fitness range. So far, I've done about 22 classes at Ra Yoga and am finally not feeling like death after completing a class - 6 weeks or so into it. I just want to say that there are very few instructors who cater to anyone that is a beginner in their yoga journey. Fabian is one who modifies; however, there is one instructor in particular who is simply showing off or is under the impression she's training the class as members for cirque de soleil vs. you know, trying to work on my basic balance and not break my hip in the shower. And the name of the classes do not help. Yogalates can VARY greatly depending on the instructor. There should be more ways to tell a LEVEL of a class and way more introductory classes on the schedule. For instance on Tuesday for example, there are 5 Ra Vinyasa level 2 (& intro to level 2) classes and only 1 Level one class... what? And I simply do not understand why they do not have any weekday classes between 7:30-9AM. There's a huge mommy gap that could really use a beginner class then. There is a Ra Store class, but it's only a couple days a week. I do want to say this place is clean and professional and I love the app that allows you to book classes in advance. Note: this is hot yoga class: bring a yoga mat, a yoga matt towel, a personal small towel and water bottle. You will sweat! They do have a locker changing area with shampoo & conditioner. For some reason the Newport location does not have hooks by the shower which is kinda basic. The Newport location has some really hard-core inspirational instructors and is slightly nicer than long beach... haven't tried Costa Mesa yet.
