Whenever I travel, I like to pop in on a dance class. Hadasa was teaching a contemporary class and it was a blast! Great play list and very creative floor work! Great warm up and a lot of variations through the class. I highly recommend enjoying a class here! Not to mention a great staff member greeted me at the door and showed me around!

I went to all the Kpop class with Rae at UN plaza and it's honestly such great fun. I moved to SF a couple of months ago and made many new friends through the dance class. Thanks Rae for finding a community for me here in SF.

I’ve been joining the Barre Fridays with Jessica Rae at Mission Rock, and it makes my Friday mornings so much fun!
It’s been an amazing way to get back into working out after pregnancy — and my 6-month-old baby loves the fresh air and music too!
Thank you so much, Jessica, for this amazing class!

Jess is absolutely wonderful! She’s friendly and welcoming—you instantly feel comfortable in her class. I honestly don’t know how she manages to do all the tough exercises right alongside us while still talking, motivating, and keeping the energy so positive. Her Friday classes at Mission Rock are no joke—they’re challenging and push you in the best way, but you always leave feeling stronger and happier. I truly admire her and look forward to her class every week!

Took Matt’s Beginner Ballet class and they were an amazing teacher and guide throughout the whole class. I studied ballet over a decade ago and it was nice to get back into things. Great pace for beginners, people getting back into it for the first time in a while and anyone wanting to try something new! Check-in process was really easy and I’m excited to continue taking classes here

Rae Studio is one of my favorite places to be! The staff are incredibly friendly and always bring such positive energy, they truly make everyone feel welcome. The break rooms are cozy and perfect for relaxing before or after class, and delicious fruit infused water. One of the best parts? My dog Gizmo absolutely loves it here! He gets so excited to visit, hang out, and take photos with his favorite people at the studio, also Tashi who is not in the photos. I bring him to work so it is very convenient that he comes with me after work. It’s such a warm, creative, and pet friendly environment, I can’t recommend it enough!

First dance lesson ever and Inez was the best intro teacher. Choreography was easy to learn and she made sure you did the moves right. I wish I lived in sf I would for sure come back weekly to this studio.

- The first class I ever signed up for at this studio was cancelled less than an hour before start time. I was already on muni when they sent the email.
- The 30 day expiry on a 5 class pass is extremely limiting.
- Their obsession with wanting to take a photo of you for your profile is creepy and annoying.
- The classes at this studio are somehow more expensive than the classes at more reputable studios and dedicated dance schools. This is literally just a dingy space in a dingy building that takes forever to get buzzed into.

My favorite dance studio in sf! Been coming here for ~1 year and the people/environment has been so welcoming and most of all friendly to dancers of all levels. I have the monthly membership (unlimited classes) and have enjoyed trying out so many different styles of dance.

Love Rae Studios! I have been looking for a good safe space to take adult classes since graduating college. Rae Studios has been that studio community I have been looking for along with the chance to perform again. Great place for all levels and such a great variety of classes!

This place looks great, but also the sort of place where a man would seem super weird to be at, since it's mostly women.

Some places just have an energy of positivity and creativity. Rae Studios is definitely one of those spaces. Connect with some amazing people and enjoy a stunning creative space. Models, dancers, choreographers, producers, content developers, and that is truly just scratching the surface of this hub of modern movement. I truly love people who lean into their abilities, and Rae Studios will get you moving in the right direction!

I've been coming here for about 4-5 years now, and I still love Rae Studios. There's a wide variety of classes that you can take--whether you want to take a cardio dance class to something more technique or advanced choreography--there's something for everyone.

Love the dance community Jessica has built in SF.

One of the worst dance studios I have been too. The classes are expensive and often involve choreography that no one is able to follow. The studio has one wall made entirely of glass so everyone who comes just watches you dance (awkward, plus super distracting). The “changing room” is the size of a broom closet and the managers lead “tours” of the studio that include walking random ppl in and out of the room. Lastly the people who work there are rude. If you want an backdrop for your Instagram, come take pictures here — but then leave and spend your precious money and time somewhere else.

Nice historic (?) building. Classes don't seem to have caps so they can be crowded sometimes.

I've taken most of their classes and have had a blast in each one. The instructors are skilled, nice, and teach fun, hip dance moves. I personally enjoy Alli's Jazz Funk choreography. If you've ever taken Micaya's hip hop at ODC, the style and class structure is similar.

Sessions are held one at a time in a single room. Most are very popular and usually filled with a healthy number of class takers. They also have a changing area in the back and a comfortable waiting room with water and sometimes snacks!
