I’ve been working with Max for over 1.5 years now, and I couldn’t be happier with the progress I’ve made. From day one, he’s been a supportive and knowledgeable coach, helping me improve my strength, build muscle, and gain real confidence in my fitness level.

His detailed, structured program helped me establish a strong baseline, and he brings well-rounded insight that covers both exercise and nutrition. He keeps me accountable with regular check-ins for weight and measurements, while also being flexible and accommodating when my schedule gets busy.

If you're looking for results, there's no one better than Max. After just a few months, I already notice a huge difference in my fitness level, weight lifting ability, and overall well-being. Max takes a personalized approach for each of his clients by creating a custom plan that considers your ability and goals—whether you're a beginner or an experienced athlete. Workouts never feel routine because Max puts a lot of thought into every session, and I learn something new each time. Max is a fantastic personal trainer! He's been instrumental in helping my wife and I build up our fitness foundations. I discovered Max when I decided I needed personal training after repeatedly injuring myself.

Having worked with max over the last 2-3 months I can confidently say it was the right decision. Not only have I made progress in my fitness journey but also overcome my lower back pain, especially with rolling which Max suggested and implemented in my routine.

The last 5 mins of a workout where he stretches you out is absolutely the best.

Also he has moved to newer facility in San Carlos, this location on google is outdated.

I had never had personal training, but I needed to do something different after a couple years behind a desk. Hitting the gym in isolation was sounding tedious, and was too easy to put off.

Even after 15 sessions, I am noticing a huge different in my body, flexibility, and energy levels. Aside from being a great guy, Max has a vast portfolio of exercises, stretches, rolls, and cardio to pull from. He tailors every session and constantly introduces me to movements I have never done before.

The result is a super engaging workout, with a ton of compound movements mixed with new variations on conventional exercises, and a very holistic approach to balance, stability, and health. I plan to continue working with Max, but a lot of what he is teaching me will stick with me for the rest of my life.

Max is one of the top trainers I have worked with. When I started, I was post cancer treatments and was nervous to start training. Max helped me through with his trained observations. I am gaining the strength, flexibility and mobility that had been disappearing as well as the confidence to WANT to continue my training. Max’s workout style is varied and I have no doubt he can work with any age range. The newer facility he uses has plenty of machines and weights to have a great workout without many people. Great space for personalized training. Train with Max and you won’t be disappointed!

I began my search for a personal trainer a couple of months ago. Max of Reboot Health immediately responded and I made an appointment for a consultation. Best decision I've made. I realized that at my age a rigorous workout should be with a trained professional and not in a class without personal attention to performance and form. Max has taught me how to:
#1: safely warm up
#2: properly lift weight
#3: understand specific muscle groups and to use machines with correct form
#4: the importance of repetition

Max is a phenomenal trainer! I came to him with a very difficult physical goal and so far we have hit almost every milestone needed. He sat down with me, created a comprehensive plan complete with workouts, meal plan, gear needed, and life style changes I could make to help support reaching my goal. He not only leads me through awesome workouts weekly, but he has taken time out of his schedule to run with me outside of the gym to help me get started with building my cardio stamina. I don't believe I could have chosen a better trainer. Not to mention he's pretty funny, and for the wealth of knowledge he brings to each session, he is very affordable. I highly recommend!

I have been training with Max for a little over 4 months now. It has been so much fun and he has helped me lose weight and feel better about myself. I definitely notice the changes when I am playing softball and how much more power and stamina I have. The workouts are fun because Max always has a variety of exercises to do and you will never repeat the same workout every session. Max makes working out fun because he is always there to talk to and make you laugh when you are training. A very big thing for me was nutrition and Max has been very helpful on educating me on the things I should be eating. His guidance has helped me not only lose weight, but have more energy throughout the day. Max is an excellent trainer and I would highly recommend him to anyone.

My partner and I initially chose Max because we were looking for someone who could train both of us at the same time. We’ve stayed with Max for the past 9+ months because he created a fun and engaging workout experience. My initial goals were around just getting more fit, but Max was able to identify long term mobility issues that resulted from my scoliosis and help me achieve better flexibility and balance.

Since COVID and shelter in place, Max has taken all the right steps to ensure we still had a safe space to exercise. He offered remote sessions, made sure to get regular testing, designed workouts to facilitate social distancing and encouraged the use of masks during the workout.

Unfortunately, I’m relocating to LA and we can’t take Max with us, but it’s been an awesome experience overall.

If you decide to lose weight, shape your body, stay healthy or something like that, Max is the right address for you. You will see the first results after 6 weeks if you work with him and do everything right. He gives everything you need, you just need to follow schedule. When searching for a personal trainer, my SO and I decided to try Max since he was one of the few to offer small group training. Three months in and I am still surprised he is able to come up with new exercises to incorporate into our weekly workouts to keep them lively. He designs the workouts based on our personal goals but also uses the fact that there are two of us to create engaging partner exercises.

Max has shown that he has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to personal health and training that is only amassed from a passion for his work and several years of experience. He was able to spot the physical limitations of my SO’s hips and knees without us telling him and includes flexibility training in our workouts to help alleviate the pain and improve our range of motion. He also demonstrates all new exercises and stretches and clearly explains how they affect our body.

Finally, Max makes working out in the morning actually enjoyable. When working out in the past, I have usually stuck to evenings since I feel groggy and less energetic in the morning. Max’s amiable personality and humor wake me up and make it feel like I am working out with a friend. From our experience and speaking with some of his clientele, I can tell Max really cares about his clients and does his best to help them succeed in reaching their health goals.

Max is awesome! I really enjoy the fact that he's so well rounded and knows so much about all aspects of health and exercise. I am not one of those people who enjoys working out, but Max makes it fun, and interesting, and pushes you to the limit of you capabilities. Now, a couple of months into it, I'm doing stuff that I never thought I'd be able to, which encourages me to come back, so I can see what else I can do. I also like that Max takes the time to explain the exercise, and answer all questions. I'm one of those guys who needs to understand why I'm doing what I'm doing, and Max always takes the time to explain.

Working out with Max has been amazing! I was overweight, out of shape and chronically out of energy before I started training with him. After signing on with Max, I started to lose weight in the first two weeks. And then it's been a steady weight loss after that. Proving that his program is working if you follow it. Max is by far the best trainer I have ever worked with (and I've worked with a few). He leverages his knowledge, experience, and creativity to tailor workouts that suit your needs. He mixes up the workouts so that time in the gym is effective and fun, and he supports your goals with nutrition and lifestyle advice.

We have been going to Max since June 2015 and it has been an excellent experience. Three times a week seemed a big commitment at first but we now value each and every visit. He tailors the workout to meet your individual needs. He gives you all the tools to maximize your success, including workout tips and food tracking. Meal plans, great exercises, unique workouts, all while keeping an eye on your form to ensure safety.

I have been training with Max for two years now. I don't know of a better personal trainer out there. I started personal training about 12 years ago, so far I have not stayed with a single trainer, but ever since I met Max, I have been serious about my workouts, and I always look forward to training! Max is the whole package. He is an extremely knowledgable trainer, professional, personable, amazingly strong and fit himself (he just rocked the Spartan World Championship in Tahoe to complete his Trifecta!), and just a down to earth and fun person.

A friend (a fitness instructor and fellow dancer) recommended I work with Max to rehab my knee and ankle injuries. Not only has he helped me strengthen my muscles to support my knee and ankle, he's pushed me further than I ever imagined possible and helped me not only meet but exceed my fitness goals. I'm not a runner (bad knee and ankle!) and never considered myself an athlete (I joke that I'm recreationally challenged). With Max's guidance, support and encouragement, I completed my first Spartan Sprint AND Tough Mudder this year! He even ran the Spartan with me, helping me over the walls, and patiently waiting for me when I needed a break from the endless flights of stairs at AT&T Park.

I recently had shoulder surgery and gained some weight and got out of serious shape. I decided I needed some professional assistance to get me back in the mix. So I searched and I found Max Rocans of Reboot Health. His semi private gym is in RWC near Atherton.

I have just purchased my 3rd package 20 sessions and he has gone above and beyond helping with supplements, nutrition and even planing work outs for me when I can't make it to the gym. Max trains people from 5 years old to 80+ and creates the program specific to your needs. He personally competes in fitness competitions and running events up to Marathons.

My husband, teenage son and I have been training with Max for just over 2 months. It has been a great experience and we are seeing results. Max has worked with us to set goals and keep us on track--patiently working with us on strength training, providing nutrition guidelines and home workout suggestions. My husband has lost almost 15 pounds and I have reached my weight loss goal. My son has not followed the nutrition suggestions, but he really likes working out with Max and is feeling much stronger. I have been training with Max for about three years now. When I started my fitness journey all I wanted to do was to loose some weight and get in shape. So far I have lost 30lb and I kept it off. I went down from 42%BF to 17%BF. I have done about 10 races,( 5 half marathons,Urbanathlon, Spartan Sprint, Bay to Breakers and some local 5K). But what I'm most proud of is, I have participated in 2 BodyBuilding shows (INBA and NPC) for the past 2 years. I placed top five for my age group in both shows. Bringing home trophies. For my last prep, he workout a program, and nutritional plan that help me get my body on the right shape. I was able to track my food on a app as well as my exercise routine.
He is very knowledgeable in all aspects of fitness, and he really really cares for the wellbeing of his clients, so much so that he has done many races with me and my family. And came to see me at both shows with flowers and chocolate!!!
I highly recommend Max if you want to make a lasting change in your life.
Well worth it and I see more races and shows in the future.

Max is awesome! I came to Max pretty far along with my weight loss journey, I had already lost 150 lbs and had quite a bit of muscle loss as well as loose skin. After three weeks my body fat % had gone down and I am in the best shape I have ever been! I only wish I had started sooner. Max is super easy to talk to, very knowledgeable and funny. He got me on supplements and helped me tinker with my diet until it was were it needed to be. He also got me signed up for various fitness apps that track food, fitness, progress, etc. He keeps the workouts exciting and changes it up every time which is awesome because that is exactly why the gym can get boring when you go on your own. Not to mention he helps you stretch out at the end which is very much needed for sore muscles! Hands down the best investment I have ever made.
