I highly recommend Red Dragon Karate in La Verne. My 4-year-old son has been attending for 3 months, and it has already made a huge difference in his confidence, physical skills, and emotional development. We have been taking our 2 kids (4&7) to Red Dragon Karate in La Verne for a year and a half now and have nothing but good things to say about this place: This place doesn’t only teach them techniques, it goes beyond that; since my kids started training here, we’ve noticed a significant improvement in multiple aspects: discipline, focus, self-confidence, strength, team work, school performance and others. The staff is talented, very professional, super nice and they are great with kids. They know how to win them over and encourage them and make them want to come back every time. I would highly recommend this place. I can confidently say that it has more to offer compared to other karate places.

RDK La Verne is an excellent martial art studio. My family have been training here for over 14 years and many to go. Instructors are highly trained and motivative. While learning karate skills kids are having tons of fun! All ages are enjoying !

My son has been enrolled for about 3 months now, and we have had such an enlightening experience. When we signed up for a 6 week deal, he received 3 private lessons with a sensei. One on one, completely personal.
My son has tried soccer, baseball and hip hop classes and wasn’t interested in any of them.
RDK is an entirely different experience for him. He’s comfortable and confident when he walks in the door. He has learned so much, physically, but has grown leaps and bounds mentally and spiritually as well. Every single staff member that we have encountered has been empathetic and welcoming. Sensei Hailey is spectacular. She can hold a class of 20 kids together and on track. It’s magical to watch her work. Julie at the front desk always has information available and is so sweet and welcoming. Sensei Shane (the owner) is above and beyond any owner of a business that I have encountered. He is personable and accesible. He encourages his “family” of members to reach out, to communicate. I have never experienced such a kind and close knit group.
RDK also works parallel to schooling. They reward for good grades and have teachers sign papers before graduating.
My son is 7, and I hope that one day he will be graduating to black belt! I highly, highly recommend RDK to anyone on the fence, or looking for a good connection with their children.

Love this place. The dedication by the Sensei's and staff is amazing. Truly feel like apart of the family when at the dojo. The support system and programs they have are superb. Teaching these kids life skills of respect, discipline and attitude. This has helped my sons social skills and we are so great full plus he is now my personal body guard!!! Keep up the good work

This is a great place for our kids to develop mentally, physically: RDK not only teach them the art of karate, but help to build confident, brotherhood and leadership to every kid here. From the higher belts to the newer members, RDK accomplish to have everyone involve and gel to share the next generation of Black belts of our community. I did my research before we signed up my son. There are people criticized the instructors here are all 'high school kids'. Well, while this statement is not accurate; we do love that fact that their instructors here are all younger people! They are the best role modal for my child. Yes! even the owner here is the youngest owner of RDK! We have these very respectful, well disciplined, successful young people to be instructors. My kid admires them dearly; they are the best mentors, live testimony of big dreams reached at young age! Not only do they know their crafts, they are very experienced teachers. Kids not only do what their instructor told them in the dojo, they also practice the ethic they teach at home and school. RDK La Verne can transform kids into much more well behave, discipline and responsible children. We have been with this martial art school since my son is 4; he is going to be 7 soon and so proud to be part of the RDK team!

We started our son at this studio 2 years ago after trying other martial arts schools. RDK La Verne truly understood our son, and knew how to work with him to bring out his best. After 6 months, it became apparent that this needed to be a father/son journey to black belt. What a joy it has been for me to do something with my son that we will remember our whole lives. There are several parent/child groups enjoying the journey.

The staff is fantastic in every way....friendly, knowledgeable, great teachers and great mentors. One of the best things they do every day is give a 1 minute life lesson to the students. They talk about character, integrity, and being good people. WOW...how great is that!

We've been a part of the RDK LaVerne Family for several years. I can't imagine a better place for my kids to learn the art of karate. However, they are learning more than karate...they are learning confidence, discipline, respect and hard work. We first learned about Red Dragon Karate in La Verne thanks to a birthday party our little now-master yellow belt got invited to. He already was super into martial arts (inspired by Ninjago), so this was right up his alley. The party - led by Sensei Matt - was super fun and interactive for the kiddos, and our little ninja was hooked. We signed up for the free private lessons about a week after the party, and now we make the dojo part of our weekly routine. In addition to teaching the kiddos valuable skills of karate, the dojo also stresses how they should also strive to be the best human being they can be. Keep it up, RDK!

My son Matthew came to us several years ago and asked to take karate. We search several Dojos and decided to try Red Dragon. Matthew got his black belt but it wasn't easy. He almost quit several times but Shehan Chris wouldn't let him. He encouraged Matthew to succeed. Matthew is now a second degree black belt (studying for his third degree) and he has fallen completely in love with karate at Red Dragon. So much so that he teaches at the La Verne Dojo. Red Dragon gave Mathew the confidence and courage to continue and succeed. Thank you Red Dragon for touching his life and encouraging him to be a winner!
