As a parent, enrolling my child at Red Dragon Karate in San Dimas has been one of the best decisions we've ever made. From the very beginning, the Sensei Matthew and Sensei Jacob have been not only highly skilled but also incredibly supportive and inspiring. UPDATED: kids are orange belts now and participating in their first tournament. We have seen some major improvements in social/behavioral attitudes and the boys look forward to daily lessons. Highly recommend!

We enrolled our kids this year for different reasons (confidence for one and focus for the other). Their schedule and coaches work to fit in kids around parents schedule which was a MUST for us as we commute. Our kids are absolutely THRIVING! They love attending class and taking part in events. (Ages 6 and 7).

Facility: on the smaller side with one main training area, a smaller private training area, and a private room. Plenty of seating for parents to watch. Maintained and cery clean.

Staff: We haven't had a bad interaction yet! Staff is all very friendly with both the adults and kids. They work hard to treat you like family and make sure you feel welcome and included. My kids love ALL of their Sensei’s.

Classes: white belt class sizes vary on number if students joining and number testing into higher belt classes. So far the class sizes have been small to medium sized and 1-3 coaches per class. Kids get a lot of small group focus times and larger group exercises. They are not only learning the techniques, moves, and building strength, they are also learning respect, kindness, and patience. I don’t think my kids have shown this much gratefulness publicly! They always tell us thank you for (add whatever), hold open doors for us, and now always ask to help! They were helpful and kind before, but now they are confident in these areas too.

Cost: it CAN be pricey. Not only the monthly but then testing and gear. BUT, compared to other kids sports i feel it is not much more than those fees and gear. Well worth it! We did the middle tier membership so that our kids could go more often and take part in different events. Money sooooo well spent!

HIGHLY recommend, especially for local families. Not only for little kids but for adults too!

My son loves this dojo. His sensei’s made sure he thrived and did well. They became my partners in parenting my son as well as they not only teach him the katas, and defensive moves, but they also teach good values, such as respect, discipline, and cooperation. My son improved a lot on his focus, and self confidence since we started.

All the Sensais and coaches in RDK San Dimas are passionate on Karate, and wholeheartedly help every of their students to be successful. They are patient with students by motivating them to through different ways, and more so they make each karate class full of fun and excitement. My son been going to RDK in San dimas since age of 4, and now he is 5 and a half, and he still excited to go to Karate after school 2-3 days per week. Sensei are so good in keeping him engaged and remind him to focus. I seen him less shy and stay more still when he has. Our son, Jaden has always been interested in karate. It was only at the beginning of this year that our schedule allowed us to enroll him in Red Dragon Karate, San Dimas. We were thrilled to see Sensei Alex, Sensei Jacob, Sensei Jessica and Sensei Dominic excel in sharing their knowledge to ensure our son and other students have fun, while performing techniques necessary to succeed in promoting from one belt color to another.
