Stacey and her team at Resilient Body are a big part of the reason I’m healthier, stronger and far less injury-prone. I started with MAT sessions with Stacey, and over time added the RB small-group personal training classes - both have been game-changers. I feel smarter in my body, more confident in my strength and fully supported to push myself without risking injury or overdoing it. My nerve pain, back pain and core strength have all improved dramatically. I’m truly grateful for this team.

The Small Group training sessions are the perfect combination of personalized workouts, community, connection, and consistency. Stacey and Jessica both care deeply about each person in the class by offering modifications to fit the individual, keeping track of weights, and assisting with proper form all while facilitating the whole group. They are both so knowledgeable and clearly invested in their craft! I leave class each morning feeling accomplished knowing that I’m building strength with each custom tailored workout. Also during my first few sessions I uncovered some areas of weakness that I had developed over the last year and with both Jessica and Stacey’s expertise (including MAT sessions) I am stronger than I have been in a long time! Stacey was also able to get my teenage son back on the basketball court after having a hamstring issue using her MAT Athlete technique. I cannot say enough positive things about Resilient Body and all they have to offer!

I am so happy with the progress I have made in my strength going to my classes! I feel energized and accomplished on my workout days. I love the focus on details in doing an exercise in the safest way. I am so lucky to have my coaches and my community! We are all growing strong together!

TLDR- resilient body small group classes are a safe way to regain your strength even if you have previous injuries.

Over the last 5-10 years I've been looking for a good way to get in shape. I tried gymnastics, softball, even parkour and hurt myself to varying degrees in each. I did yoga for about 10 years in my 30s, but self care took a real nosedive when COVID hit and I started my own business at the same time.
When I tore something on my right side trying parkour for the first time, I had a morning that I woke up and could barely walk from back pain. I couldn't dress myself the pain was so bad. I went to Stacey for MAT and felt about 95% better. My husband and I both caught a glimpse of what could happen to us as we age if we don't take care of our bodies. I watched my dad suffer with severe chronic back pain my whole life from a football injury and did not want to go through that myself.
So when Stacey opened up her group classes I was thrilled. I have a handful of old injuries to work around including my right shoulder, right knee and left wrist, in addition to that last 5% from my parkour experience.
I started the small group strength training once a week and was surprised at how much I loved it. Stacey always had modifications to strengthen around my injuries and my knee pain has gotten much better! I figured out years of ballet in formative years had trained my body to put a lot of weight on my toes, which was straining my knees! A revelation that only came because of Stacey's knowledge, observation, and responsiveness.
Then, Resilient Body offered a core class, taught by Jess, which was great because my core was always super strong until two pregnancies. The core class was a very comfortable pace and brought so much awareness back into my core. Now, my strength training class is at a new level and I'm feeling more effective on exactly how to use my core to keep myself even more safe while strength training and just living my life. Plus that 5% remaining back pain is now down to about 1%. I am optimistic about getting to 0%.

Jess and Stacey are super knowledgeable. Cannot recommend Resilient Body more.

Groups are small and we work on a bit of everything, and whatever you need the most. Stacey pays close attention to everyone, and gives great input on what, why, how. She understands bodies.
On my last dirt bike riding adventure after going to Resilient Body for about a month, I could feel the difference. I was surprised how often I could feel it out on the trail.

A few mornings ago a simple sneeze caused my back to seize and I ended up stuck on the couch, literally unable to move. My left side was in excruciating pain, but thankfully Stacey, my sweet neighbor, swooped in and worked on me until my body and ego were healed enough to first sit, then maneuver to her portable work table in my living room to be worked on.

It took over an hour, but by the end of ONE session, I was able to move from laying to standing without the shooting pain and stiffness from acute injury. She followed up with aftercare instructions and some easy exercises until our follow-up a couple days later

I was in such better shape, but still feeling pain a few days later when I visited her lovely downtown location this morning for a quick follow-up session. The thing with Stacey is that while she asks you questions verbally, she is also watching intently to see how the body responds, not just your words. After about 30 minutes I was feeling limber and able to bend and turn without pain. She gave me some modifications to the exercises based on my recovery, and promised to check in early next week.

I don't understand MAT, but I know that the first time she treated me years ago, I had exhausted every available option to help with persistent neck pain. I was skeptical but desperate. And frustrated, because I was paying for chiropractor care and cortisone shots that did nothing. Now, she is my first thought and the one I refer all of my friends and family to, from pelvic floor issues to body pain, I am confident referring the people I love to Stacey because I know it works. She treats my kids, need I say more?

MAT is amazing and Stacey is a skilled and compassionate practitioner. Petaluma is lucky to have her.

My son Jake had a badly twisted ankle from a game-of-tag-gone-wrong while backpacking in the Sierras with friends. It had mostly healed but became a big issue when he started playing soccer in the fall. Stacey worked with Jake and helped him regain mobility - her bedside manner was perfect - Jake was comfortable and relaxed the entire time. Whenever I ask how his ankle feels since Stacey worked on it he say, "Great!" He enjoys roller blading, running and he just went for an hour long bike ride to Helen Putnam park - happy kid! Thank you so much Resilient Body!

I went and saw Stacey for the first time roughly a year and a half ago for severe shoulder & knee pain from jiu-jitsu and years of bodybuilding training. After trying many different conventional physical therapists, ART, and chiropractors without much success, I tried a different form of physical therapy call MAT through her. The results I saw after only a few sessions got me back to 100% for the first time in years! She is the only person who has helped me address and actually understand the root cause of my injuries and has kept me injury-free ever since I started seeing her. Her knowledge and professionalism is excellent and I still see her periodically for tune-ups. Whether you’re an athlete or just a regular person looking for pain/injury relief/management, I cannot recommend her enough.

No matter what shape or size you don't deserve to be in pain.

So many times in my life I have not been believed when I say I am in pain. As a result I most often just dealt with any and all pain I had without saying anything or seeking help.

Too many times it felt that my weight was what people blamed my pain on. But does my weight change my flat feet and the knee and back problems caused by them (left untreated for more then a dozen years), does my weight change the labor intensive job (which often causes work related injuries), does my weight mean I don't deserve to be healed?

I have now been seeing Stacey for 4 years off and on (aging is hard). She was the first person I have EVER truly felt comfortable with. Her care and concern for all bodies is not only stated but is felt. Never had I known a person to so whole heartedly care about my bigger body and what it needed. To see me, the individual, and find a path of healing that I could walk. So many times I had gone to PT and they never truly found ways for my painful body to get better. Stacey has been the only one to tend to my true needs and find the way for me to gain strength and comfort once again.

There is no one else I would rather have care for this one and only body I have.

Stacey is a miracle worker! I had struggled for months with plantar fasciitis in both feet. After a week she had me feeling normal again. Years later, I sought her help with another problem, and she cured it too. Stacey is highly skilled, a great communicator, and a creative problem solver.

Physical therapy from Kaiser for arthritis in my lower spine and shoulder provided little relief. My DIL recommended Stacey at Resilient Body for MAT therapy and what a relief! The lower back is so much better and the shoulder pain is gone! She has helped with pelvic floor strength and foot pain, so far. I continue to visit Stacey frequently for tune ups

Stacey is amazing!! Her treatments are the closest thing to magic that I've ever experienced. I'll go from feeling 'my age' to feeling 20 years younger...in a one hour session.

I've worked with Stacey for the past 20 years and she has helped me improve my functional movement and relieve pain through 4 knee surgeries, 1 shoulder surgery, and many other injuries. Stacey really understands the body well and is attuned to your needs. I've seen some of the most effective and immediate results from seeing her compared to many other things I've tried (physical therapy, acupuncture etc.) that has allowed me to function in my day to day life without pain as well as recover quickly so I can go back to my active lifestyle and playing sports.

Stacey has been working with my son through a baseball injury and beyond. She helped him with some immediate relief to his pain and range of motion. Additionally, she gave him a plan to strengthen his shoulder and core, to reduce the chances of a future injury. We are so thankful for Stacey and what she does. Highly recommend her for MAT for athletes.

I have been going to Stacey for a little over a year. As a 70 year old, I wanted to do what I could continue to do all the activities I enjoy. I have seen far too many of my friends have a poor quality final 10 years because they wouldn't do what it takes to maintain their body good condition as long as possible. Working with Stacey helps me identify the weak links in my physical condition and gives me follow up exercises to help maintain good conditioning. The exercises are not difficult, but do target my weaknesses. I have over the last year continued to feel better and able to do more. I would recommend Stacey to anyone who is serious about improving physically so they can improve how they feel and what they can do each and every day.

I came to MAT from a referral six years ago. I was in a lot of physical pain with various injuries going on in my body. I also have Osteoporosis. I went for my first appointment, and I knew I was hooked. I knew I had a lot to work on. I was committed to healing and being in my body. I have kyphosis, and I am not the same person when I walked into those rooms in San Francisco years ago. After shutting down her previous business, MASF at the beginning of the pandemic, I was so grateful for Stacey as she opened a private office in San Francisco. I have been seeing her twice a month, and I can tell you that I am standing taller and am in my body fully. I also get many compliments. People see the difference in me but most importantly, I feel and see the difference of how I am standing taller. Guess what, I am not having injuries like I used to have. I also have Osteoporosis.
Stacey’s gentle healing hands and her MAT expertise have given me a precious gift of standing tall and being in my body fully. Stacey is so understanding, compassionate, loving and goes above and beyond to make you feel One with your Body. Being in physical pain is debilitating and it affects us not only physically but also spiritually and emotionally. MAT has improved my posture, made my weak muscles stronger. I am stronger. If you are in physical pain, one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself is to see Stacey. Thank you, Stacey, for the journey of growth – physically, spiritually, and emotionally that I continue to embark on. You are a precious gift to me and my body and I am truly grateful.

Stacey is amazing! She has a deep knowledge and understanding of the body. She has been an incredible help to me in my health journey. I had spent years with chronic back pain, hyper mobility problems, and a diastasis recti. Stacey has helped me become strong and functional again!

Stacey has an inspiring work ethic and desire to continually level up her knowledge of the body. Her vast experience as a trainer and M.A.T. practitioner lend her the skillset to truly hold a space for listening to the body and moving forward towards healthier and stronger function. I first met Stacey when I was newly pregnant with twins (my 3rd and 4th children) and was a little unnerved by the prospect of twin pregnancy and birth and it’s impact on my fitness and well being. As an athlete with a history of aches and pains, and more recently low back episodes, I went to Stacey to have her assess my core and overall mechanics and to give me honest advice about how best to be safe and intentional about staying strong while pregnant and also returning to activity after birth. She did just that. Through both pelvic floor rehab practice and M.A.T. sessions to address muscular imbalances Stacey was a constant guide for me at a time when I was most vulnerable in my body. Now, years later, she still inspires and continues to be someone I turn to when I need to focus in and listen to what my body is telling me. I look forward to her advice and practice for years to come.

Prior to meeting Stacey I
had gotten into a car accident in 1998 I wasn’t able to move my neck and lived in excruciating pain. To add to that, I broke my hip in 2016. My life was literally existing, not living, I just made it through every day. After an accidental meeting at a Fourth of July party, Stacey asked me to come in for a consultation and at that time she worked on me. When I walked out of her office and got into my car, for the first time in over 20 years, I looked over my shoulder to back out, I started hysterically crying. I put the car in park and went back to her door she asked me if I was OK, I told her I was just so happy and I thanked her profusely. After another appointment in a very short time, I was walking regularly and even exercising: she gave me my life back. I have been going for checkups or tune-ups, as we say, about every 3 to 5 months. If you’re living in excruciating pain from an accident or a fall, I highly suggest that you give yourself the gift of going to Stacey. What do you have to lose except for excruciating pain?

Stacey Earl is a well-studied and empathetic member of her profession. The combination of her knowledge of the human body and her ability to inherently know exactly what is needs can only be described as magic. My transformation from someone with chronic neck pain to an educated and pain free person took her 3 sessions with well-explained exercises to help the process. I recommend Stacey to anyone who will listen (including several members of my family). Do your body the favor of going to Stacey to improve your quality of life and feel great!

Stacey has worked with me on the repercussions of old knee and shoulder injuries. Honestly I think she understands the mechanical workings of our bodies better than most doctors. She can identify what's not firing/ not firing in the right order, stimulate that muscle and then train you to identify that muscle and strengthen it. She is a brilliant healer.

Stacey is AWESOME!!!! She has helped my family and I several times, but the most noteworthy was when my teenage son came in after he has a fall while snowboarding. His elbow and arm were hurting and he had limited range of motion. After his treatment with Stacey he had full range of motion back in that arm. On the drive home he could not stop talking about how rad she is and how what she did was like magic!!! It has ignited within him an interest in pursuing bodywork as he gets older. Not only is she incredibly skilled, but she is kind, ethical and professional. I can not recommend her enough.
