About the Club

Resilient Strength and Conditioning is a private facility that offers an innovative approach to training.
We offer Sports Performance programs for student athletes where we build on a solid athletic foundation, while staying focused on each athlete’s individual goals. We properly progress them over time, so every training session builds on the last, leading to stronger, faster and more explosive athletes.
Our Adult Functional training options whether semi-private or 1 on 1 are designed to help you move better and feel healthier than ever before. We design and coach comprehensive programs to ensure sustainable health and longevity, meaning you’ll always know exactly what to do, how to do it, and how hard to work.

I was out of commission for a couple of years and needed to get my health back on track.
I previously trained with the owner, Scott, in a similar environment and really enjoyed the fitness program he created. I knew I’d be in good hands when I signed up with Resilient (March 2022).
They are welcoming and create a supportive environment. The staff is personable and truly care about each and every member. They’re incredibly knowledgeable and push you to be your best self.
I have never been a fan of the big gyms; so much equipment and quite intimidating.
The small group training sessions work for me.
I feel better, am healthier, definitely stronger, since joining and credit goes to their dedicated staff and effective programs. I recommend this facility to anyone looking to improve their fitness and overall well-being but prefers to do it in a more personal setting.

You can't beat the atmosphere or training competency at Resilient. Been coming a year with multiple injuries and they give modifications as needed. Just got back from a week long ski trip, and never felt better!

When it comes to fitness, results are what matters.
If you want to get fit and healthy, the path to getting there is not the same for everyone.
What will be same for anyone that is lucky enough to get to know Scott Hanson and his Resilient Strength & Conditioning, will be the almost unbelievable Results!
I have been fairly active and fit most of my life.
In my 60's now and probably in the best shape I have ever been.
Started training with Scott at a fancy and expensive global fitness Gym/Brand.
When he opened his own training facility, I went with him.
I can bench press more than my weight, regular pull-ups and push-ups have become easy, low body fat, increased muscle mass, etc., etc.
In conclusion, regardless of your age, gender and fitness level, if you want results, Scott and RSC will make sure you get there; safe and sound.
It's not complicated.

Resilient is without a doubt the best gym I have ever joined! After previously struggling to make progress in big box gyms and HIIT centered training facilities, I luckily came across Resilient when I was looking to restart my fitness routine after surgery. The owners, Scott and Shannon, are incredibly kind people who are truly invested in seeing their clients progress toward their health goals. Also, one of their strength coaches/trainers, Kellie, is AMAZING!! Her energy is always great and her attention to detail for ensuring everyone is doing the exercises correctly/safely are only a couple of the many reasons why she is a fantastic trainer. I’ve been going to the small group adult functional training sessions at Resilient three times per week since February 2023 and have seen significant improvement in my overall health. If you’re looking for a gym that will improve your strength, mobility, and overall health, this is the gym for you!

What can't I say about resilient, I've been working out with Scott and Kellie for a little over 2 years, I came in after almost getting a full knee replacement at the age of 30. I thought id never play sports again. Not only am I playing sports again but I am keeping up with the younger players and do not feel 33 at all. This place has been a god send for not only my recovery but for my mental and physical health as well. I cant thank Scott and Shannon enough for getting me back and better than ever!

I highly recommend Resilient Strength and Conditioning. I’m grateful for the thoughtful balanced training regimens, the coaches’ guidance to make sure you are doing the exercises correctly/safely and the gentle nudges to push your boundaries. I was due for a partial knee replacement before starting their program and I’ve gained so much knee strength that I was able to do some hikes pain free and defer my surgery!! Highly recommend! Scott and Shannon run the best gym I have ever been a part of. It is a family atmosphere but people get on it and support each other to attain their goals and beyond. The workouts are personalized enough to address past injuries or other concerns. I started here after an extensive labrum surgery and it’s been seamless. If you are looking for a small group setting or 1-on-1 training with a fun and caring group of people, this is it!

I just love this place! Everyone is so nice and attentive. I have been training with Scott for over 2 yrs now. I have RA so sometimes my body is not 100 %. Yet, Scott always shows me stretches to do and we work around what is bugging me at the moment . He is such a grate motivator and I learn something new every time from our conversations. This place is exactly what I have been looking for. Having not trained since college, coming to a strength training gym was what I needed. Both of the coaches SAFELY guide you through functional form and weight progression on a personal level. On top of that all of the patrons of the gym are really inviting and motivating. I only wish I started coming here sooner.

My family member has dementia and 2x a week, she comes and trains at Resilient Strength and Conditioning. In every session, she is treated with respect, patience and kindness. Fantastic place to get a great workout. Private (and semi-private) workouts where coaches tailor workouts to meet ability of clients.

Each class is an hour long and there's a good variety of morning - lunch - afternoon classes to choose from.

I’ve been going to resilient for a year, between zoom and in person classes. They have helped me transform my body and made me an athlete again. The classes are uptempo and fun, they take great care addressing my previous injuries and modifying the workouts accordingly. I have dropped a ton of weight and have been pain free working thanks to working with Kyle and Scott.

We’ve been working out with Scott, the owner, for a few years now. Scott used to provide personal training services for our office so we were so stoked when we found out he opened his own gym. Now we are training with Kyle as well. The workouts are challenging with good variation and the best part is you see results quickly! They always provide modifications for injuries as well as for increasing the difficulty of the movement if you want to challenge yourself even further. It’s definitely a family-like environment where everyone knows each other. It’s also very safe during the pandemic with everyone wearing masks, sanitizing between stations, etc. It’s a super convenient location in Carlsbad to get to from Vista, San Marcos, Oceanside, Encinitas... we recommend Resilient Strength & Conditioning to everyone we know who’s looking to get fit, stay healthy (and injury free) and feel good!

Coach Jason (the owner) is the best. If you are in the Carlsbad area and need a little push during your workouts like I do. Then this is the place, I love having someone tell me what to do during a workout and I love being sore the next day. The adult group classes are great and all of his other services look like they work because there is a lot of sweat, strength and familiar faces. Do yourself a favor for some healthy living and check it out.
