​As someone who hasn't taken dance classes in a while and a parent of two aspiring dancers, I can't recommend Riar Academy of Performing Arts (RAPA) enough. My sons and I are all taking Bollywood classes and have absolutely loved our experience.

​The instructors are truly passionate about dance, and it shows in every class. They are kind, caring, and have created a wonderful, supportive community for all the dancing families.

​The opportunity for the kids to perform on a stage has been a huge highlight. It's amazing to see them take what they've learned and showcase it in a live performance. This has been a huge confidence booster for my boys and me!

​My one small request would be for them to consider adding a teen class in the Elk Grove location or introducing a new genre like hip-hop or kathak. Either way, RAPA is a fantastic place for all ages to learn and grow through dance.

I’ve had an amazing experience learning dance at Riar Academy of Performing Arts (RAPA)! My instructors, Mr. Raj and Mr. Karan, are both incredibly talented, patient, and motivating. A decade-long bond—and still going strong.

This year marks Esha's 10th anniversary with RAPA, and it’s been nothing short of amazing. What began as a hobby has transformed into a deep passion and commitment to giving back by helping the next generation of young dancers at RAPA.

This journey wouldn't have been possible without the love, compassion, growth opportunities, and true sense of belonging that the dedicated team of teachers at RAPA has provided, year after year.

While encouraging students to push their own limits, Team RAPA ensures every child grows in confidence and skill. There's a beautiful sense of community—learning to dance in groups, supporting one another, and finding joy in the process. We look forward to every performance throughout the year, filled with vibrant energy, brilliant choreography, and stunning costumes that make you want to dance in your seat!

My two daughters and I have been a part of Riar Academy of Performing Arts (RAPA) for the past 8 years, and it has truly been an incredible journey. Mr. Raj is an amazing teacher—dedicated, passionate, and always bringing out the best in his students. The dances are always vibrant and full of energy, and the costumes are absolutely beautiful. Where to start? This will be Aashi’s 8th year with RAPA—and time has truly flown by in the best way possible: while having fun, learning so much, and growing through dance.

We genuinely look forward to every RAPA show—the energy, the music, the costumes, the sense of community—it all makes each performance feel like a celebration.

Over the years, Aashi has had the joy of learning different dance styles from incredible teachers who have each made a lasting impact on her:
• Mr. Karan and Mr. Raj have brought Bollywood alive for her. Their infectious energy, creativity, and encouragement have made every class a highlight of her week. Oh how much my child enjoys their jokes 🤣
• Ms. Meera is the reason Aashi fell in love with Kathak. Her teaching goes beyond technique—she mentors with care, grace, and wisdom. She touches Aashi’s heart like only a true friend and guide can.
• Ms. Tawni has made contemporary dance a beautiful outlet for self-expression. Her style and approach have helped Aashi connect deeply with movement and emotion.
• Mr. Ray brought a whole new groove into Aashi’s life with hip hop. His classes are dynamic, upbeat, and full of joy—she always left with a smile and more confidence.

The entire RAPA team creates an inclusive, encouraging environment where every child is seen, supported, and given space to shine. As parents, we’ve felt that too—and volunteering behind the scenes has been a pleasure. The warmth and camaraderie extend far beyond the stage.

It’s hard to believe we only have three more years and six more shows to go before college—but we’re soaking in every moment we have left with this incredible dance family.

Attended yoga at RAPA class run by Jyothi Hoskere. Fantastic class for all levels that is exactly what I was looking for. Each class is different and Jyothi’s guidance through out very helpful to get the best of the class. She gives multiple variations for each yoga form to allow you to do what you are comfortable with. Most of all I left the class really refreshed! Exactly what yoga is meant to give you! Highly recommend this class.

My daughter has been a student of Rapa for 3 years now. Karan and Meera riar are very dedicated to the students. Classes and shows are super organized!! We have loads of fun. We see marked improvement in her skills and are excited to continue our journey with Rapa !
