About the Club

I’m an accredited Master Trainer from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. I take a systematic approach to creating individualized plans tailored to each client’s needs, goals, and dysfunctions. I have extensive specialized credentials in behavioral change, reversing pain and dysfunction, and athletic performance. I’m methodical on assessing improvement in performance, mobility, movement form, because I want to quantify how you improve in addition to your external feedback, Ultimately, my mission as your trainer is to help you reach your goals, improve how you move, how you feel, how you feel about yourself and overall your quality of life.

I’m an 80 year old female health care professional who began personal training with Jason after a long illness. Jason provided a well-thought out program, advanced it as I gained strength. Now, six months later, I have improved stamina, definition in my arms and legs and even went down a dress size! After years of dealing with various aches, pains and injuries due to improper exercise, I decided to finally invest in my health and hire a personal trainer. For a long time I was hesitant to take the plunge due to the competitive, "bro" culture so common in this field. But when I met Jason, I knew I had nothing to worry about. He's so kind, down to earth, and totally easy to be around. He wants to help you achieve your fitness goals in the safest and most positive way possible. He's also just a really friendly, funny guy with a lot of varied interests in and outside the sports world. I really enjoy our sessions and I've gained muscle and strength in my few months with him. I am so glad I found Jason at Ripped Rose! I was really hopeful that I'd be working with someone who would put together a very customized plan for me to get into shape for an upcoming Tough Mudder event, and Jason did exactly that. He started by spending time determining where I was in terms of core strength, balance, health, etc. and put together an awesome plan to systematically start ramping me up to where I need to be. Plus he's super nice and funny! Highly recommend.

Best decision I’ve ever made in regard to my fitness journey. If I had to choose Jason as a personal trainer again, I’d choose him in a heartbeat! When I came to Jason, I literally was starting at level zero. I had lost 100lbs on my own and hit a plateau and since I never incorporated any physical activity in said weight loss. I always steered clear from the gyms because I was afraid of injuring myself and was frankly just plain intimidated/embarrassed in a gym setting.
Fast forward to meeting Jason, he was professional, supportive and determined in helping me reach my goals. During every session he has taken the time to explain each move and its purpose. He’s helped me stay accountable and on track and that plateau is finally broken too! I feel better than I ever have. And now have a new found respect & love for the gym! I have been working out with Jason for 5 months and I can not make a stronger recommendation to invest in your own health. I am 62 years old and my previous exercise experience was group classes. Working with a personal trainer, specifically Jason is a game changer. He is a knowledgeable and skilled instuctor who understands anatomy and physical fitness.
You can challenge yourself to show up and do more at every session because you have a mentor. The gym is fully stocked with a variety of machines and equipment so the workouts are varied as well. In just 5 months I am stronger and feel better about my physical capabilities. Starting out I was recuperating from meniscus surgery and Jason designed a personalized strength program for me which has resulted in eliminating my knee pain. This has truly been a beneficial investment in my health.

After a long break from exercising due to pandemic and pregnancy, I was looking for help to pick it up. Jason helped me ease into it, with sufficient caution in the beginning. He knows when to push your limits and when to watch for yourself. He keeps you accountable without making you feel guilty about things you could not do. I had persistent pain in both shoulders. At times it was so bad it was disabling. In particular it was making it hard to sleep.

I went to Emily. She quickly found my pain points and was able to ease my discomfort. I would leave her office feeling 100% better. She also diagnosed the cause as an imbalanced workout routine and got me a new exercise program. Her diagnosis was right on the money; the new routine made the pain vanish. I have no discomfort, a better range of motion and my sleep difficulties are gone.

I cannot sing enough praise to both Jason and Emily.

I have been not an easy client with a variety of pain issues however, Jason is knowledgeable about even my most obscure findings I may bring to him, he continued to find ways to keep me moving forward and building strength.

Emily only augmented that level of skill with her own knowledge and work of her own.

I had tried a variety of different programs prior but this is far and above the best experience. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Emily and Jason are a dream team. The manual therapy in tandem with the custom rehab training was exactly what I needed to move from physical therapy that had plateaued, to gaining the strength, mobility and balance that I had lost. I feel better than pre-injury! Jason has helped me push myself to build the stability I needed to really have a successful outcome post-surgery. Emily helps my body help itself with her targeted massage, pre and post workout. She has magic hands that allow me to focus on healing, not just tackling the workout. The two of them work together to make sure they are targeting the same muscles, and I feel supported in my goals 120%! I plan on continuing with them even when I'm past needing rehab. I feel strong and healthy, and I love it!

I had never considered a personal trainer and am so glad that Jason was recommended to me. He listened to what I want and designed a program around that. I came in with a specific goal of improving my balance after having a hip revision and I can see the improvements almost weekly. No two sessions are the same. My only regret is that I can’t figure out how to squeeze in another session.
I am pleased that I don’t have aches the next day due to Emily who provides massage before and after each season. They are a great team.

I’ve been working with Jason for a little over a month now and I’m really pleased with my results thus far. Jason is incredibly knowledgeable about the science behind fitness. I feel stronger in just the short amount of time I’ve been working with Jason than I have in the multiple years I tried reaching fitness goals on my own. I’ve been training with Jason and Emily for a couple months. Before I started training I used to give my 6 year old son a piggy back ride for 50 yards or so (I’m a 46 year old dad) and would always pay for it with back pain and extreme soreness that lasted for about a week. I stopped doing it. This past weekend My son and I were on a hike and he was tuckered out after half a mile.

I’d do anything for him so I put him on my back and started walking back to our car. I was surprised when I got back to the car and felt like I could go another couple miles with him on my back. I had no soreness and no pain at all.

I can carry groceries in an awkward position and not have any pain. I used to get pain in my foot after walking more than a mile. That pain is gone.

When we train I just do exactly what he says. He knows what to do for my specific body to make sure I’m as fit as possible. I don’t have to pay attention to anything else but making certain I attend each scheduled session. If I’m doing something wrong he’ll ask me to adjust immediately so I’m always doing each exercise just right. This adds up to me lugging my six year old son on my back for half a mile without breaking a sweat!!

The best personal trainer in Pasadena is Ripped Rose Fitness, aka Jason. I first found him at Gold's Gym Pasadena when my doctors said my pain from running was because my legs and glutes weren't strong enough. I was all cardio fitness, no strength training. Fast forward one year later and I am so much stronger, and the new gym where he trains is an upgrade for sure. It offers the latest fitness equipment and of course free weights that are so beneficial. Plus Jason is so patient, with just the right amount of push to get me to the next level.

Having an accountability partner is one thing, having a trainer is another. Jason is not just a great trainer who gives you personalized workouts and hopes for the best. Those are a dime a dozen. Jason learns you- what your body needs, your lifestyle, your background and all the other nuances that allow you to make bigger, more impactful moves towards your goals. I've been going to the gym for years on my own. About a year and a half ago, I developed pretty serious sciatica. After several months of medications, injections and braces, my insurance company cut off my physical therapy as no longer necessary because I "wasn't getting any better." I'm not joking. Jason is one of the best trainers around but don’t tell him I said that, I always tell him he is the worst. One he gets my weird sense of humor and two he helped me prepare for a knee replacement and then after the surgery helped make the healing process progress more rapidly. I’ve been seeing him a little over a year. I recently tried to quit but I guess I am addicted now. He really is in tune to your specific body needs and knows when to push or back off. You’ll be surprised at the things you can do that you thought you couldn’t. A master trainer, what can I say. You should try him and see for yourself.

My Husband and I started training with Jason in April of 2019. Jason comes to our home three days a week as we have two young children and finding time to go to a gym just doesn’t work with our schedule. Jason is personable, flexible, and very motivating.
