I toured a lot of gyms in LA and this is the best one - it’s intimate, well-equipped with new advanced machines, never crowded, people clean after themselves and have the best spa. Love it.

I did a tour of all the gyms in the area and laughed when I was told the price. This place is more expensive than equinox, Los Angeles athletic club, heimat, and John reed and offers what? Delusion? A pink bathroom? The gym only membership should be $100 TOPS. Absolute joke

A+++, 11/10, the best gym I have ever been a member of! Rodeo is absolutely incredible - the best trainers, the best classes, the best music, the best community. Absolutely exceeded my expectations in every way and continues to all the time. Rodeo has an extra special place in my heart because I started coming 6 weeks before getting diagnosed with stage IV cancer and coming to classes here for the past 1.5 years has been such a huge part of my recovery. I even gained muscle during chemotherapy and am now cancer free and stronger than I have ever been. Love coming here so much <3 <3 <3

The best gym in LA! Whether you’re a beginner or advanced gym rat, this gym has a product that truly can’t be replicated. Their weightlifting classes are fun and EXTREMELY effective. Your booty will have a pump after just one class and the stronger you get physically, the stronger you will feel mentally as you move through life. Plus, the community is awesome! I’ve made several friends and have even gotten connected with job opportunities through this gym. This Texas girl can’t be torn away from her rodeo!

This is a perfect example of a good gym, run by people who care. The owner Ray was there when I first checked it out, and was very kind and welcoming. The facilities are great, the gear is new and always clean, and the other people working out are respectful. I ended my first workout with the PØLAR, and loved it. Have now signed up, and look forward to each day I head into Rodeo!

Rodeo Athletic Club skillfully balances upscale amenities with a welcoming environment, catering to those who value both quality and a sense of community in their fitness journey. I primarily use the open gym, which has all the equipment you need, and it’s never too crowded. The owners and staff are always friendly, adding to the overall pleasant atmosphere. It always feels great supporting a local business instead of another corporate chain.

LIFE CHANGING! Need I say more? I guess I will:
I love the Rodeo Athletic Club. From the topnotch trainers (never more than a dozen members to a class) to the sauna and cold plunge, everything about the Rodeo Athletic Club is perfect. The staff make you feel welcome each and every time. I have never felt as fit physically and mentally. Addicted to this feeling for the past half year, ever since joining. Paul H.

Rodeo Athletic Club is the best gym I’ve been to in LA. I love the group training classes and have been every day since joining. Not only are the trainers so knowledgeable, but they’re really friendly and always offer helpful (and welcome) form tips and corrections. The programming is excellent — so intentional and I feel myself getting stronger every day. It really feels like you’re getting the attention of a 1-1 personal training session, just with a group of really lovely people. So so glad to have RAC in the neighborhood!

I love Rodeo, the coaches and programming are the best I've had at a gym in LA. The coaches are super knowledgable, motivating, and they give you a lot of one on one attention. The customer service at the front desk is amazing, and they're all so welcoming! Having a bit parking lot is an added bonus. Definitely well worth the price!

The Rodeo Athletic Club on Hyperion Road in Silver Lake, Los Angeles, California, deserves a one-star review for its abysmal customer service and lackluster amenities. Despite the hefty monthly fee, the quality of service provided falls far short of expectations. Charging extra for sauna and cold plunge use adds insult to injury. Moreover, the gym's inconvenient operating hours, closing early on weekdays and opening late, inconvenience patrons. It's evident that the establishment prioritizes profit over customer satisfaction, displaying little interest in fostering a positive experience for its clientele. Overall, it's a disappointing and overpriced facility that fails to justify its cost. I strongly discourage anyone from signing up and regret wasting my money on this subpar gym.

As a newbie when it comes to strength and conditioning classes, I was initially a little anxious about feeling like I didn't belong here. But in reality, from the very beginning, the owners and coaches have been so inviting and supportive of meeting you where you're at and pushing you to be a better version of yourself. I'm so glad to have Rodeo in my neighborhood and would recommend to folks of all fitness levels!

I love going to Rodeo. It gives me the perfect balance of being able to train in the open gym by myself, and access to the best group fitness classes in LA with the nicest trainers. I feel like I get a lot of 1-on-1 attention even in a group setting unlike any other fitness class I've ever taken. The facilities are also brand new with the most high-end equipment. I could not recommend this place more highly.

I've never really felt welcomed in other gyms. Many you walk into make you go through a list of prerequisites in your head to feel worthy to grace their rowers. BUT not Rodeo Athletic Club. Rodeo from day one of my membership made me feel welcome and strong, and it challenged me physically in ways I didn't feel were accessible to me. Anyone who goes to Rodeo for their Strength training programming will leave each class with a sense of accomplishment every time.

I found athleticism, I found community, and I found agency over my body. I thank the trainers, my classmates, and the facility for giving me that. It's a fun little gym that takes being fit and healthy seriously.

SO, I definitely would recommend 10/10.

The Rodeo Athletic Club owners have created a great atmosphere. Gyms can be intimidating. I've taken classes at other places that seem to be designed for the strongest person in the class. At Rodeo Athletic Club, I have no problem keeping up with the classes. The instructors will make a slight adjustment if I'm having trouble keeping pace. I go to Rodeo Athletic Club several times a month. The teachers -- Homer, Andrew, and Dallas -- are all great. Clean locker rooms. Showers. Plenty of parking. There's a Polar ice bath and sauna room too. I can't recommend this enough. The key to getting in great shape (so Instagram stories tell me) is CONSISTENCY. RAC makes it easy to stay consistent because of the great teachers and the classes. I look forward to classes and seeing friendly faces.

Yee-haw! Come turn yourself from a barrel-hidden clown into a rootin' and tootin' ropin' cowpuncher!

Rodeo lingo tomfoolery aside, this gym is truly a special place. From the dedicated (and incredibly well informed) trainers, the actual endorphin-pumping classes, the post-recovery sauna/cold plunge double feature, the open gym that turns Gold's into Brass-- and swag that Prada will soon be begging to collab on -- Rodeo is a one-stop for ways to melt flab, gain muscle and get stronger over time in a controlled and methodical manner. The clientele is rad, of all ages and body types -- and doesn't feed petty intra-gym competition, instead pushing each person to reach for and eventually achieve their own goals and even, yes, surpass their own inborn, stubbornly clung-to limitations!

Have to say there are lots of people here bashing the price while its not inexpensive I have to say my 1 month of training here in classes and the POLER was completely worth it. I have learned a lot and want to keep coming back. They have options for regular gym goers that just want open gym but have to say the classes have changed my fitness level for the better. Highly recommend this place and if price is an issue theres always LA Fitness but this is not even comparable the individual attention you get here out does other gyms with the same price point.

Rodeo Athletic Club is by far the best gym I've been to. The coaches truly instruct the class and make sure everyone is getting the most from their time. I started going 3x a week, but now make 4+ because I've seen clear progress with my fitness level and mood. The team continues to add class times so availability isn't an issue.

While it's primarily a coaching facility, Rodeo has an open gym area that has all the rigs, free weights and machines anyone would want. I believe they offer private training as well. The sauna and ice bath are huge bonuses that are rarely available at gyms.

Ultimately, the combination of coaches, programming and members create an atmosphere where I look forward to working out and pushing myself. I'd strongly recommend Rodeo to anyone that's looking for real results from a gym.

Rodeo is really the only facility in the neighborhood offering a gym membership at this high quality. With only a handful of coaches and their commitment to keeping membership and class sizes small, you’re getting a personalized experience in a clean, well equipped facility at the same price point as Equinox and other competitors. They foster community and listen to their member’s suggestions regarding the future trajectory of the gym, a fact which is something rarely seen in a high end gym space like this one and adds such immense value. Additionally, the POLAR facilities are state of the art and bring a luxury to the space without compromising the attached gym space. I could not recommend joining more

I was an open gym member at Rodeo 1.0 on Beverly near Fairfax. That space was pretty much a standard-issue CrossFit box, but the classes were great and it had a strong sense of community, largely due to Homer, Andrew and Dallas being such great coaches.

The new Rodeo Athletic Club in Silverlake is like moving from a studio apartment to a luxury penthouse. The newly and completely renovated space is bright, open and well-laid out with all the equipment and cages necessary for classes but also a *full* gym in the upstairs space and the addition of an exceptional PØLAR sauna / cold plunge room. Most importantly though Homer, Andrew and Dallas have brought their tremendous expertise and enthusiasm for the classes with them to the new space helping to preserve that sense of community that was so strong and unique at the old Beverly location.

In light of all this, instead of a basic open gym membership I opted for the unlimited membership at the new Rodeo Athletic Club and I could not be happier about it. I checked the Rodeo app (there is a fantastic app for scheduling classes and tracking progress) and in the 8 weeks since re-opening I have done a total of 62 Sweaty & Strong and/or PØLAR classes. Eight weeks ago I had never done a cold plunge before and now I’m doing 4-6 per week for 3:00 to 6:00 minutes.

Rodeo Athletic Club has been a total game changer for me and my fitness routine.

Tens across the boards.

I never thought I'd pay this much for a gym membership, but here I am.

The three primary trainers (Homer, Dallas, and Andrew) are all super knowledgeable and by limiting class sizes to 12, you're never lost in the shuffle. They know all the gym members and are keen on keeping everyone safe and watching your form (I'm new to deadlifting and using barbells in general) so this is key for me and my protecting my body.

As a bonus, they have a cold plunge and sauna along with 5-10 minute breath work sessions several times a day, which are great for recovery and mental wellbeing. The cold plunge was a major selling point for me even though it's spendy. However, compared to other cold therapy studios in LA, it's "affordable" and the perfect compliment to a work out. It's a one-stop-shop.

Did I mention it's right down the street from me? That certainly helps. There's also currently no competition in the neighborhood that I could find.

I'm anxiously awaiting the addition of an 8am class, because waking up for the 7am has been tough and when the clocks change, it'll be even more challenging.

Give them a try, you get 2 free classes just by going to their website! Tell 'em Dustin sent you!

**in case you're confused, RAC used to be a Cross-fit box in West Hollywood, but they completely renovated the former location of Body Builders Gym and rebranded themselves in Silverlake.**

What really sets Rodeo apart is the sense of community; I've made a few new friend here, which makes exercising a joy. The classes, both fitness and Polar, are engaging and motivating, and the instructors are passionate about helping me achieve my fitness goals. Hands down my favorite gym. I've been working out for 10+ years, trying everything from pilates to personal training, and I've never seen results like I have in 3 weeks at RAC.

The trainers 1) are really cool and 2) give so much care and attention to every single person who walks through their doors. I specifically love their classes-- the class size is never too large, so you'll get personalized adjustments on form, technique, etc.

The space itself is stunning. Incredible equipment, always clean. And they have the most luxe ice plunge/sauna available ("Polar") that truly levels up your recovery/self-care routine.

Rodeo has quickly become one of my favorite places in the neighborhood. They did a great job with the aesthetics, and yet the functionality of the place is somehow, even better.

The raised ceilings in the main area make the gym feel larger, and it's set up to accommodate several different types of lifting styles- if you're an open gym person. I was almost sold on the glute drive machine alone.

The programming for the classes is incredibly thorough, and well worth it. The coaches are experts in their craft, and really understand the details. I'm skeptical, picky, and spoiled when it comes to personal trainers but Homer and the team are absolutely fantastic. Their cues and communication are dialed to welcome all fitness levels, but the the programming will challenge you.

Prior to Rodeo, I'd never paid more than $85/month for a gym membership. As a previous member of Body Builders, I was skeptical that high end gym would be stuffy and lack substance.
But Rodeo is an absolute delight, super welcoming, and a place to work hard (and recover).

$335/mo is wild for not only this area, but LA. How is this priced at the same level as Heimat? There are “cheaper” options at RAC (think Equinox prices) that remove almost all of the amenities, so it makes more sense for me to stick with Equinox for unlimited classes, gym & pool. Even drop-in prices are high. I used to go to Bodybuilders and was super excited to get another gym in its place as we do live in a bit of a gym desert, but I really wasn’t expecting to get sticker shock. Knowing what RAC used to charge at their West Hollywood location – I was ready to join as the classes looked incredible. This review doesn’t reflect the trainers, but was disappointed to find out that there wasn’t a package that would make more sense financially.

I went from not knowing how to set up a squat rack and having no idea what good form looks like to being excited to add weight and challenge myself. They are so patient and not only explain what you’re doing but why your doing it. The community at this gym is unmatched.
