We have been going to Rogue Parkour Gym for almost two months now and so far my three kids love every aspect of it. From their special needs assistance program to their skills level programs for all age groups (to include Pre-K), Rogue Parkour Gym has a little something for EVERYONE (and I mean that literally). The instructors are well versed in a lot of skills and are extremely patient with participants, and the administrative staff is always welcoming and eager to help.

Rogue Parkour Gym offers Camps and Parents Night Out to families with children over five years of age, but we have not been able to use these programs with a three year old (Gyminny Kids has a good Parents Night Out program for kids three years and up, if you need that parents); we will update our review if we have the opportunity to experience them.

I took my son here earlier this year for the autistic classes. I asked to try out a class first but the salesman got me to spend $50 for two classes and some open gym time. First and only class was a disaster. I told the sales person my concerns and my son’s level and apparently he didn’t care. While we were there no one tried to assist us. The teacher was great but he was with the students that could follow the instructions. We needed up leaving with my son distraught and no one cared to talk with us or give us another option. It was all about the sale. If your child is a level 1 they will do well here beyond that especially level 3 it will not work. Find somewhere that supports all needs.

Wonderful experience and great atmosphere. We’re new here and our daughter was recently inspired after watching one of the coaches do tricks during open gym, JB. She asked him to show her how and JB was fantastic with my daughter and all the kids! He gave her and others tasks to perform and tricks to try and they ate it up, especially my child. He may have inspired her long term because she’s super motivated now that she knows what to aim for! Very grateful for the time we spent with JB during open gym and she’s pumped to take his classes. Everyone has been great so far, Jesse got us set up, we’re looking forward to spending more time at Apex.

My 8yo just finished up Spring Break Camp at APEX and I can’t say enough good things about her experience. I found APEX through Google searching and reading reviews. She’d never been to a camp before so she was very nervous showing up the first day. To say she fell in love with this place is an understatement. The coaches were all so helpful and welcoming. Everyday I picked her up she’d tell me about all of the fun she had and how she couldn’t wait to go back. 10/10 recommend the camps and look forward to trying some of the classes and open gym options!

Apex is an amazing place for kids of all ages and skill sets. Coaching is done with encouragement and a love of the sport. The setting creates a fun approach to fitness with lots of choices and activities. Our family has been attending classes, open gym, and competitions for over 5 years. The boys never lose interest nor do they tire of practices. The coaching style encourages competition without pressure. Success is always celebrated. Love this place!

It feels like the owners don't really care about making investments that can improve this place. It's a decent facility but it's starting to show it's age. The trampoline and foam could use replacement. You can tell there was a hole in it which was lazily patched up. Foam felt gross too. I'm surprised they haven't updated to an airbag like most gyms are doing now.

By far my favorite facility to train at. General acrobatics is my hobby and as an adult, it's hard to find a place to train that is both well operated and open minded. I have an open gym membership and always love coming in to train. They keep the place nice, are always super friendly, and I generally just feel safe being there. Watching the coaches work with adults and kids, it's obvious to me that they sincerely love what they do and want to be there—which isn't a very common thing I see at places like these. 10 out of 10 recommend. :)

We absolutely love Apex! My 8 year old son has been going there for years and is learning parkour in a fun, responsible and supportive way. The gym is like a huge indoor playground for people of all ages to enjoy moving their body. Some parents will be in a class while their child is in another class. My 3 year old girl has recently started their pre-k class and she is so excited to be like big brother. There are many classes and open gym options and their app makes scheduling a breeze. They also have plenty of seating and WiFi for parents who want to work or relax while the kids have a class. The best thing about Apex is the encouraging and inclusive environment they have created while still focusing on increasing skills and confidence.

Our experience at Apex was fabulous! My child participated in summer camp while we were visiting the area from out of state. He loved it and was so amazed by the quality of the gym and instructors! This was 6 months ago and not a day goes by that he doesn’t beg to return. Now, if only we lived closer then two long states away! Horrible supervision and absolutely not safe. My son attended a weeklong summer camp and enjoyed some of the structured lessons during the day. However, open gym time was another story and ruined his experience. He got injured and bullied by other kids while the coaches stood in a huddle laughing at their iPad, not doing their job. I complained to the owner, Keith, 2 times during the week, and a third time on Friday. Although he said he would talk to the coaches and managers, by the end of the week nothing had changed. In fact, Keith sat at the front desk watching a screen where he could clearly see his coaches just chatting with one another. I showed up early to watch my son do some parkour, and instead watched as he got pushed and slapped in the face by another kid. I also watched a pretty bad fall. The coaches who were supposed to be supervising didn't see any of it, of course, because they were not watching the kids. Coaches also had no way to see the trampoline or the foam pit from where they stood, which is where my son said a lot of the daily chaos took place. I am completely disappointed in this experience, and just glad my son came home without any broken bones at the end of the week. We are going to look for a different place to do parkour and I would never recommend this place to another parent. I've attached pics of the coaches not doing their job.

APEX is amazing. My 10 year old has attended and enjoyed youth parkour classes off and on for the last 4 or 5 years, as well as parkour spring camps and parkour summer camps. My daughter has been participating in parkour classes at Apex since October. Previously she was very into gymnastics, so she is strong and competitive by nature. At Apex, she is in a mixed gender level 1 class and beams with pride everytime she accomplishes a new skill and is rewarded with a skill band or just the satisfaction of knowing she is strong and in control. I love parkour classes at Apex for my daughter bc the foundational skills each coach teaches her continues to fuel her understanding that she is capable of any movement, if she works hard enough and applies herself.

Updated: Before I gave 2stars but changed to 5stars. Today there were over students and two well trained instructors taught kids. They seemed very professional and cared all the kids well. This time my kid got better focused on their lesson.

Me and my son visited at Firestorm Freerunning in Irvine and my son loved it. I asked the owner if there was anything similar to that place and he introduced this Apex movement in San Diego.
I brought my son to Apex but I kinda disappointed. The facility looks great but the ratio between an instructor and students today is 1:10. The students seemed out of his control. I feel like they need more instructor to support kids. Or the instructor need more training.

Apex school of movement is an absolute gem here in San Diego. From there very first open open gym we were hooked. The facility is centrally located and easy to get to. It's always clean, with a great support staff from management, coaches, and the parkour community. Our son has participated in classes, open gym, competitions, and special events. He is at Apex at least 3 times a week and always looks forward to it. They are always adding new skills, classes, and obstacles to keep it feeling fresh and challenging. If you haven't been, it's a must!

The kids loved it, it's best solution that i know for the "tablet blues". Just couldn't watch the kids sitting with the tablets the whole weekend so took them there. Apex Movement is amazing! The staff is so friendly and the coaches really know how to work with kids of all ages. My son is loving his Intro to Parkour classes and it is really helping him channel all the energy he has. When we first started going the class sizes were small but it seems like the word is getting out and the class sizes are growing which is a bit of a bummer but if a kid asks for extra help the coaches are glad to give it.

Apex is seriously a great gym if you’re looking for somewhere with a ton of creative potential. Most of the blocks are movable to help people build their own courses and the recent addition of a few new bars makes the gym even more enjoyable than it already was!
