Its not the fanciest gym but I kind of like it like that. Im from Texas and dont know anyone here, but at Rovella's as I became more regular the people at the gym (non employees) started to recognize me and started to say hi or have small conversations. The people that work there are also awesome. They are polite and helpful when needed. Also I see the employees cleaning a lot, they have some to clean but also the employees in the front go around and clean also. Seems like a team effort to keep us healthy between staff and gym members, which I appreciate. The sauna, steam room and hot tub are just the cherry on top. Even though I haven't tried the pool it looks amazing and is very big. The price per month is also reasonable cause you get to use everything and its 24/7 which is very convenient no matter your schedule.

I am disappointed in how my dad was treated recently at this gym. My dad has been sick with bell's palsy for the past month and I have been worried about him. The girls at the front desk treated him rudely, rolling their eyes and throwing policy in his face (which escalated and did not need to). Please train your staff in bell's palsy and stroke like symptoms so they don't make people feel like they are crazy. It is called empathy and we all need to show more of it these days.

The Monthly fee is decent, affordable.
Gym not too clean.
You have to clean yourself after using each machine.
But I’ve seen people not cleaning their machine.

Great place to work out. The environment is healthy. The people are usually very nice. The owner is a nice man and seems to attract good people. The only reason I put four stars is it would be nice to have new equipment. The reason I go here also is for the steam room. This gym offers more than any gym in hollister in my opinion. Also worth mentioning is all the old equipment is outside. It's kinda cool.

The team is so friendly and helpful.The place is older, but I would rather be in a place where I feel conftebal, and happy to work out on a daily basis. I have never had any issues with any of the equipment. But if anytime I have seen a machine not working, it get taken car of within two or three days if not sooner, but they have so much it don't even make a difference..

I love the 24-hour access to the gym, pool & spa! This is a great family business owned and operated by Steve and Lisa Rovella. The large Olympic-size pool is great for getting your laps in. And, the small heated therapy pool is awesome for aqua aerobics and independent workouts. Friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommended.

This place is awesome. It's huge and has everything you could possible want from a fitness center. There are tons of machines so you never have to wait. Everything is super clean and well kept up. There is a huge indoor pool for lap swimming and a regular size pool that is heated for exercise. They offer water aerobics classes daily free to members.
There are also many other classes free to members including Zumba, yoga, cycling, and boot camp. Pick up a schedule at the desk.
Super reasonable membership options. Great, friendly staff. Everything is constantly being upgraded. The owners are very involved and accessible. I'd there is an exercise machine made that isn't here I would be very surprised.

I've been using this gym everytime I visit my brother in Hollister. As I much as I want to give it five stars, it really deserves three because equipment is old, machines like treadmills are not frequently maintained, and mens locker area offers minimal privacy for showering and one bathroom stall. I would use the term "spartan" as a description of this place. Friendly staff, good operating hours, plenty of parking and large pool give it its rating.

A decent place to work out. Hard to find mat space to workout when a class is going on. No one puts weights back where they got them from and several machines are falling apart. But the daycare attendant in the morning is the nicest woman and the price is right.
I do wish they would clean out the spa in locker room more often. It's full of dirt and I wish you could use the steam room and sauna naked.

Rovella’s is a family owned gym in Hollister, CA.
I think this is what attracts me as I want to support local businesses. Rovella’s always has friendly service—they know me by name! Only thing that kept me from scoring a 5 was the occasional ceiling leaks or unkept gym floors.
Other than that, I’m here for a good sweat and always leave feeling comfortable and strong!
