I've taken about 7 classes here now... and I must say.... Cyndi is so much fun!! Loved her energy and her music choice. Nothing better to pump up a rowing class than Lady Gaga, Pitbull, and Tyler the Creator. Fun stuff.

Classes here are somewhat affordable compared to other boutique gyms. Sessions range from 45 minutes to an hour. I always feel energized after a Signature class! Strength is decent too if you need to tone your arms a bit.

Located upstairs in the Pruneyard, this is a gem! Parking sucks, but if you park a little far... at least you get some steps in before/after your workout...

Enjoyed the hip hop themed class this week! Row House is a great low impact, aerobic workout, with optional strength training add-ons. The coaches are energetic and encouraging. I already workout at Method 3, and this is a great addition to my weekly routine to spice things up! I do think that if they moved to a different plaza, I would go even more often!

Tips:
- if taking evening classes, get there early or park in the garage
- you may need to bring a yoga mat (but that’s not always the case)
- they provide cleanly laundered workout towels

- Trader Joe’s is right there and Whole Foods is practically across the street

I’m continually impressed by the top notch coaches at Row House Campbell! In this morning’s INTERVAL’s class (high intensity rowing for short times) we received great coaching from Cyndi in the Floor Exercise portion of the class. Her coaching style included observing common form errors in the class exercises & gently reminding us & demonstrating what good form looks like without calling any one person out. That’s a fantastic way to coach in service of improving the benefit of the workout for all!

*Update - it's been over a year and I'm happy to say that I realized that I needed to up my game and join full membership so I can get more workouts in. Joining Row House is one of the best things I've ever done for my health and wellness. *
I had been thinking of checking this place out a while back and finally joined. Very glad I did because I knew if I waited for the right time then I'd be waiting forever.
My first class was free and I've been going consistently for a few months now. I really like Gee. Michael's classes are great and I get so sweaty but feel so good after. And I've noticed that my balance is a lot better and my muscles are getting stronger.

Love the classes here! The instructors are knowledgeable and invested in your personal success. I love that they send you an email after your class that gives you real metrics that help you see your progress as you move through your workouts. Hong has pretty terrible bedside manner. When I reached my 500k, which is a huge accomplishment for a new rower, she didn’t acknowledge it during class, as is customary. When the owner asked her if she did so, she first said it wasn’t on her cue card. And upon verifying that it was indeed on her cue card, she muttered a “oh I didn’t see. my bad,” without an actual genuine apology or congratulations. Certainly put a damper on my special day.

Original Review: The best workout ever and I highly recommend it for all ages. It's conveniently located and a 45-minute, full-body, low-impact workout. We row in swing as a team, which adds to the experience, and it's especially fun. The coaches are superb (love them all). Ava has team rowing experience in Los Gatos so she's great at guiding technique. Themed musical rows, monthly challenges, a variety of classes that offer both cardio and strength training while working at our own pace in a clean, supportive atmosphere. I improve my strength, stamina and endurance all the time. I'm so glad I found Row House. Try your first class for free, bring a friend and "meet us at the catch."

Update: Once you're in love with rowing and the workout at Row House, I recommend the Full Row class. Cyndi, Pranavi & Wendy coach it on different days. This class is all about rowing with a mid-row stretch. 🚣

Update: A Signature class is the best class when it's your first class because it gives the best example of the fun & variety you get with your Row House workout. Shout out to Coach Michael today at the Strength class. It's a great workout supplement with a combo row + strength training.

Update: Today it's the Intervals class for me. In my Fitbit I enter it as Circuit Training since we're on the rower for cardio then strength training multiple times for this very active full body workout. It's not all rowing - no boredom here. Thanks to coach Cyndi for her excellent musicality and personality, since these are a big part of what makes this workout fun. She stays engaged with form, breathing, timing and motivation every minute of her classes.

Before row, I was a steady-state runner. I knew I needed HIIT training, and so I'd periodically run HIIT apps on my phone and try to do what the app says to do. However, it's really easy to slack off when it's just me, an app that can't see me, occasional deer, and the road (no accountability)!

With rowing, I am forced to do the HIIT training. There's no getting around that it is hard, probably the hardest workout I've ever done. That said, you can go at your own pace, and make it a lot easier if that's your thing. But even then, you'd be hard pressed to walk out of there without sweat dripping and heart pounding.

There's also a community at Row House. You will get to know many other crew members, and they will always cheer you on. When you walk in on day one, it looks competitive, but it's not. More like golf - everyone works to beat themselves, not each other, and we encourage each other to meet their goals.

The music is super fun, and each teacher has their own vibe. Michael, Wendy, Cyndi, and Ava all bring energy, support, and fun to the grueling workout (am I over-emphasizing IT'S HARD?!!!). Each also has their own music sets so it's fun to rotate instructors. I can promise you, each of them truly cares about your experience, and I'd recommend using their wealth of knowledge to better your stroke.

I'm nearly 59, and fellow crew members are both many decades younger and probably decades older. It really is for everyone, and I'm in the "use it or lose it" category, opting to "use it." I'll leaving losing it to the glasses on top of my head.

I preach the benefits of HIIT training to everyone, and this is the best, lowest impact, most fun, way to get it.

Try a free class, but pro tip: GET THERE EARLY as they recommend so the coaches have the time to teach you proper form before the class starts. Don't just show up 5 minutes before class starts and hope to get it -- you will find it overwhelming. And stick with it after the first time, you'll get it!

So, I guess this is a 5 thumbs up for Row House Campbell and the coaches and staff!

I’ve been going to Row House for close to a year and it has been the best workout experience I’ve ever had. All the coaches are great but Cyndi is absolutely the best! She has been my main coach throughout the entire time. Her classes are so much fun! She has great energy, she sings, gets us motivated and even throws out a little music trivia every now and then. Her playlist are always good. She also shared her personal weight loss journey which inspired me to workout outside of rowing and she supported me on my food and nutrition diet. With her advice, I have lost 15lbs the healthy way! I thought I would only attend Row House for a year but I’m not ready to quit. It’s all just been so good! I truly appreciate being a member and I feel right at home. I’m always greeted with smiles and welcomes from the front desk staff and coaches. This place is awesome!

If you’ve never rowed before, try a class with Michael. He times the music and the lights to the rhythm of the row, rising and falling in intensity, and it’s awesome. If you have rowed with Michael before you already know this, and he’s probably converted you to a regular. You don’t even know you’re exercising.

Wendy’s 60 min class on Sunday is absolutely incredible! As an endurance athlete I’ve added this class to my fitness routine and it’s giving me greater strength and stamina during my runs. Update: 7/7/23 If you want a coach who motivates you and knows how to have fun, you have to go to one of Cyndi’s classes! She is a ball of energy, pushes you with her sets in between rowing AND makes you laugh! Absolutely love her vibe and I try to come to one of her classes weekly!

Pranavi’s classes push you to a point where you aren’t sure if you have anything left in the tank but all of a sudden there she is- encouraging you and reminding you of why you came in to class in the first place. I always look forward to her classes and have a great workout!

The Row House in Campbell's Pruneyard is terrific!

I've been a member of Bay Club Courtside, Los Gatos JCC, Los Gatos Rowing Club, Orange Theory, and YMCA - all manner of clubs and gyms from $$$$ to $. All manner of exercise machinery, classes, physical plants, etc, etc.

I'm fairly well qualified to comment...

The front of house staff and customer service are first rate.

Instructors are personable and engaged. They start classes right on time, come well prepared with custom workouts synched to great music, and provide encouragement all along the way. Classes are structured to encourage teamwork & spirit. The vibe is positive and fun!

Class progress, total meters rowed and "split times" are reported on large monitors providing overall class feedback. Individual's are not singled out, so no problem if you are recovering or simply not really 'into it' that day.

A few other things not ordinarily mentioned in these reviews: The RowHouse app software integration is very well done - scheduling classes, sending reminders, tracking progress to various target goals, and updating several logbooks automatically (i.e. directly updates Concept 2 logbook, Strava, and other fitness apps).

The CLEAN exercise space is well ventilated with ceiling fans and HEPA air filtration. The two bathrooms are always sparkling. The ~25 Concept 2 ergometers (rowing machines) are the well-maintained latest models & are routinely cleaned after every class.

Memberships can be paused for up to three months annually, a feature most boutique gyms do not offer.

Camillo was great !! Definitely pushed me more than I thought I could, I showed up about 2-3minutes late and was still filled with respect from all the staff and welcomed with open arms! The class was intense but Camillo motivated me and the rest of the class more than I can express! After the class Camillo and I believe the owner came up to me and spoke with me one on one and helped me more with my technique! Overall very welcoming environment and definitely recommend going and rowing with Camillo, best coach hands down ! I’ll be back soon for another class with him for sure! 5/5 stars !

As of Feb 7th, if you cancel a class within 8 hours you will be charged a $10 late cancelation fee. If you call or text the studio, they will waive the fee just one time. Rowing at Row House was a blast, however with cancelation policy doesn't work for my schedule.

Row house is so good! All the coaches do a fantastic job on keeping people engaged through the class and make it comfortable for everyone! They also spend time with you to help you improve your technique (not like other places where you just end with the chiropractor because coaches don’t help at all).

They do challenges every now and then and that also created friendly competition between members and nurtures a community

I love working out here. The coaches are really encouraging and the atmosphere is welcoming to all ages. Michael’s 30 min classes makes it easier to be able to come to more classes per week, and Ava and Wendy’s inclusive and kind personality motivates me to keep my split time down. Pranavi’s restorative classes helps me get my workout done, but is a nice change from the more intense classes. Gee’s playlist is always poppin’, and Cindy’s classes are great for pushing your limits further than you think you could go. Overall, a great team of coaches here, and I’m glad to say that it’s also the first gym that got me into working out regularly.

I attended my first ever row class today. The instructor, Cyndi recommended it to me. I was very excited to roll with her.

Lack of communication, bad business practices, false expectation, automatic reoccurring payment a SCAM!

Frequent visitor and been coming to this row house for over a year. I had a very bad rapport with the front desk receptionist (Lillian)

Me and my partner originally signed up for their monthly unlimited but we weren't told that the membership points DID NOT rolled over from the previous month. (Mind you we were coming to this location loyally for the past year, before we decided to cancel both our membership! Huge scam, in term of negligence. Why wasn't this communicate during the original sign up?!)

**ROW HOUSE bank on you not checking your monthly billing statement when processing automatic payment, in attempt to take advantage of the "non" roll over points with auto pay.

Sadly, we have been losing out on classes that we originally paid for the ENTIRE YEAR but never gotten to use due to their strict "use it or lose it policy"!

Motivating coaches that make me feel strong and unstoppable, great workouts that push me to my limits and leave me feeling accomplished. The vibe is unlike anything I've ever been to, from the music to the club like atmosphere, to the kind encouraging people. Fun challenges and competitions. In only a few months I went from an unmotivated couch potato to an unstoppable power house. Everyone is so welcoming and inclusive to all fitness levels. It's a low impact workout but don't let that fool you, it's great cardio and incorporates strength training in addition to the rowing. Cindy was super helpful in giving me a quick lesson on proper rowing technique as this was my first formal rowing group, and I appreciated her enthusiasm and encouragement throughout the session. The top 40s music isn’t really my style but in spite of that she still got me into the teamwork. To be honest, I’m usually a hard sell for workout groups in general, so props to Cindy and Lillian for making it a good time.
