Power Pilates with Erin
Incredible facility (highlights: the presence of showers, wipes, cold towels) and team! The class was guided very clearly, thank you so much Erin. I was provided a good welcome and walk through of the whole place and now I am wanting to return again. l've done more at home YouTube mat Pilates before, but this class definitely convinced me I need to take more in person classes. They have well kept equipment and intentional check ins with all students of the classes. Seriously considering moving to San Diego permanently because of these people!

Great gym from group training strength classes! They also have boot camp on saturdays and Pilates on Tuesday/thursdays. New gym and equipment and they give you cold eucalyptus towels afterwards which is a nice touch. Greg is a great coach for strength and really liked Erin’s Pilates class. Recommend checking it out!

The good vibes and genuine love for health and happiness are overwhelming at Royal. There is such a supportive sense of community and warmth that it’s apparent they strive for beauty and strength beyond an aesthetic. The technical knowledge shared by the coaches is novel and high-value, the members (and their puppies!) are lovely and welcoming, plus fresh eucalyptus towels…! The caliber of the character here is matchless. Truly a gem of a gym.

I own a salon around the corner so I’ve been seeing this place when I drive by and finally got to check it out. All I have to say is wow! Aside from a KILLER WORKOUT, the magic is in the details. The facility is so nice and clean. The parking is very easy and it’s in a secure garage. And Greg is seriously incredible. He makes you feel like you’re the only one in the class. He is very focused on the entire client experience from paying close detail to your movements and improvements to asking how your family is. I will definitely be coming back here.

Royal Training Club is my go-to spot for CrossFit and HIIT classes in San Diego! The entire staff is incredibly friendly and customer service-oriented, making every visit a great experience. The owners are also very kind and actively teach classes, which adds a personal touch to the gym’s atmosphere.
Everything is well thought out—from the setup to the schedule. The equipment is in top condition, and they always have everything ready on time. Classes start and end on schedule, which I really appreciate. The space may be small, but they utilize it efficiently, and both the showers and bathrooms are always spotless.
Beyond CrossFit, they offer Pilates and other classes, making it a versatile place to train. Members also get invited to special events, and even if you're on a Classpass, they still make an effort to include you. They truly go above and beyond to create a welcoming community.
They also sell protein smoothies, and I love that they usually provide eucalyptus towels and workout towels. The only minor downside is that for Pilates, you need to rent a mat if you don’t have your own. While it makes sense, it’s a good reason to invest in your own if you plan on attending regularly.
Overall, I always look forward to my workouts here, and I highly recommend Royal Training Club to anyone looking for a high-quality, community-driven fitness experience!

Royal Training Club is hands down the best gym I’ve ever been a part of. The energy and expertise from the team make every session both challenging and rewarding. The entire team is top-notch, they go above and beyond to push, motivate, and make everyone feel part of a community.
Greg is a powerhouse of motivation, keeping sessions intense yet fun. Erin brings incredible positivity, always ensuring you get the most out of every workout. Lauren’s attention to detail and technique helps you train smarter and safer, and Becca has an infectious enthusiasm that makes even the toughest workouts enjoyable.

I work with Greg on 1 on 1 coaching for some time. I can tell you he is best. His approach is different. He go slow but focus on posture. For me that is good since I dont injure by doing wrong stuff. I would highly recommend him. His group classes are also good to start with.

Greg and Erin are fantastic! We had pleasure of being coached by them prior to them opening up their own business at Royal Training Club. Therefore, it made it easy for us to join their fitness club. They are both very challenging and supportive coaches. They both have mastered their skill in both strength training and power pilates. The classes are all very challenging and diverse al while having the option to choose between Pilates or Body Strength Training.
I also appreciate that Greg and Erin make sure to create a fun and family based community amongst all of their members.
The Royal Training club is best of both worlds. I truly believe this is a perfect membership for anyone who is looking to participate in two different types of workouts. ☺️

Love working out here. The equipment is all brand new, the space is clean, and Greg is an awesome trainer. They have screens to be able to see video examples of all the exercises you’ll be doing in the strength training class, which helps me double check my form when I get to each station.
If you’re looking for a local gym with great people, check Royal out!

Took my first mat Pilates class with Vanessa last night, which also happened to be my first class at Royal Training Club. The layout is beautiful and the whole crew was great. Greg, the owner, took time to introduce himself to all the new faces. Somehow, Vanessa managed to memorize everyone’s name in class and provided personalized cues and support throughout our time together. As a side note, If you think mat can’t be as challenging and fun as reformer Pilates, you’re mistaken. It was an excellent full body workout and it’s clear they’ve got some of the most incredible instructors out there. Immediately booked another class for this weekend.

I was fit until Covid-19, then I gain a lot of weight. I m sure that this happens many people. I frustrate to loose weight, I was feeling uncomfortable to go gym. I was feeling uncomfortable dressing.
I tried several places and it was not for me. I been going there last three weeks. I feel very comfortable with their team, and I like their workout style. My muscle was very sore from Lauren and Greg classes. I already start to see differences on my body and I m loosing weight.
I always had judgement about Pilates. However, when I tried Erin class, my all small muscles were sore. This muscles are very crucial and important when we get old. As Erin mentioned, Pilates promotes mobility and strength of all the major muscle groups in the body in a balanced fashion. These muscles are very necessary when we get old.
My dog (my child) is very sick and we have to set her free end of this week. Royal family baked a healthy banana cake. I think this is sweetest and kindest thing ever, you can do for someone who loose their precious furry baby. It means a lot to me.
It’s great to work out with professionals trainers and it great to feel that they are there for you to help so you can achieve your goal in your gym journey.
I did not workout since Covid -19, but Now, I m glad that I start my gym journey with them, because I don’t have to plan or spend hours to prepare my workout plans anymore. I just go there and workout, sweat a lottttt, then come back home.
I m not happy with my body right now. My goal is going back my old fit body and I know that Royal Training Club will help me for it.
If you don’t like something in your life then change it! May be it’s time for you to do that changes today…

Best training club in Hillcrest. They combine strength training, matt pilates and boot camp for a sustainable well-rounded training program.
Before I joined I used to workout in a place that had high emphasis on cardio and there was not enough time for heavy lifting. That end up hurting my gains and I was often injured due to all the jumping and fast paced workouts.
With Royal training the workout is well rounded and has the right equipment to allow you to lift heavy (eg squad racks), plus the right pace. Coaches are also phenomenal and very knowledgeable in nutrition, fitness and coaching. Pilates classes are also great low impact workout that allows you to improve core and posture complementing the strength training classes. Plus one day of boot camp makes it a good balance.
I highly recommend this place, they also have community/social events such as hikes, soccer match watching, happy hour, runs, etc. you would also be supporting a local small business owners

Royal Training club takes many of the best aspects of group fitness gyms and improves on them in many ways.
If your goal is to build strength, their protocol and classes are top-notch. They have high intensity built in to the bootcamp classes, and Erin is a master at coaching and leading Pilates. I did Pilates for the first time here and all I can say is that it is intense and effective for building a bulletproof core and whole-body health.
The coaches are the best, and the community is fun and friendly and won’t judge if you’re looking to get out of your comfort zone and push yourself.
Whether you’re looking for a fresh start in your fitness journey or just beginning it, take a class and try it out. Make your moves and take yourself to a higher place. Your future self will appreciate it.
Royal Training Club is the best gym in Hillcrest.
