This is a warm, inviting space for women to workout, show up as they are and connect with other great women. So wonderful to see and a space where all that being a woman is celebrated and thought of and supported. Love it!

Yes, Sage is expensive. But you get what you pay for, here. Well rounded, thoughtful work outs that push you without injuring you. Highly trained instructors with backgrounds in physical therapy or personal training who can suggest adjustments and modifications. But I think what keeps me coming (and paying) is the community— women who I don’t have dress up for or worry about lecturing me on form or checking out my butt when I’m just trying to take care of myself. There are good laughs and warmth and acceptance like you can’t find elsewhere. So I came for the great instruction and I stayed for the people who motivate me and make me feel a sense of belonging in a space that can otherwise feel inaccessible.

This gym is exactly what women need! Natasha has built so much more than a gym, it is truly a community and a place for women in all stages of motherhood to focus on themselves around other mamas who GET IT! Having a childcare option is a game changer. I love watching this gym grow and seeing how many wonderful women are becoming a part of it. This gym is a gem in our community!

Sage Society Fitness is truly a gem in Santa Barbara. From the moment you walk through the doors, you’re welcomed into a supportive, encouraging, and non-judgmental space. The coaches are not only skilled and knowledgeable, but they are also genuinely friendly and uplifting. Whether you’re just starting out or you’ve been strength training for years, the workouts are adaptable to all levels—so you feel both challenged and safe.

What makes this gym stand out is the culture and community that the owner, Natasha, has cultivated. I’ve had the privilege of working with her even before the gym opened through 1:1 sessions, and I can honestly say she brings warmth, compassion, and a complete lack of judgment to everything she does. She meets you exactly where you are and helps you grow from there.

Sage Society is more than just a place to get physically stronger—it’s a space that supports women’s overall well-being. Natasha offers thoughtful challenges and workshops that go beyond workouts, helping members connect with themselves and each other in meaningful ways.

I especially love that while working out in a group can be incredibly motivating and positive, there’s never pressure to be overly social. But when you are in the mood, there’s always a friendly face to say hello to.

It’s rare to find a gym that makes you feel comfortable in your body while also pushing you to become stronger. Plus, there are flexible membership options to help fit your budget. Sage Society Fitness is a one-of-a-kind place, and I’m so grateful to be part of it.

I love this gym! The women are inclusive and really make the gym enjoyable! The coaches and the classes are great and really are at your own pace and you can start from wherever you are at in your journey. I was hesitant at first but it really had a “home” feeling to it and with the ease of mind with my 16 month old in childcare and knowing she’s basically right there with me. I look forward to the classes.

As an eating disorder therapist, I’m mindful of the messages women often hear regarding fitness and body image. That’s why finding Sage has been such a gift! It’s an exceptional community of women focused on balance, results, and connection — instead of pressure or perfection. I knew it was the right fit when I saw an anti-diet book on one of their shelves! I also feel energized, supported, and inspired whenever I attend. I highly recommend Sage to anyone looking for a more elevated, empowering approach to fitness.

Love Sage! Amazing knowledgeable instructors. Well thought out and balanced workouts. Smaller class sizes so the instructors can ensure the group is doing movements correctly and not getting injured. Childcare with some wonderful caretakers. Supportive community.

UPDATE 4/25/25: Over a year later and I'm so glad I found Sage. I'm stronger than ever (even after 2 babies). I love that every day is different which keeps me engaged and having fun. Lovely community and my son is still enjoying the childcare classes. Thank you Natasha and Sage Team!

I have been attending Sage for a little over a year and it has completely changed me. The focus on fitness related to women's health is so important. The culture and community that Natasha has created is incredible. One of my favorite things is all the women after class saying good job and I saw you lifting heavier weights. We celebrate being stronger and it is a beautiful thing.

I am so grateful to have found this community at Sage. (1) The workouts are so well thought out and instructors are great at cueing correct form. I had back pain for years that has finally improved with the strength training at Sage. (2) It’s a great place to connect with other women of all ages and stages. Everybody is so friendly! (3) This gym caters to our crazy lives as women and moms by allowing cancellations 4 hours ahead of class time, showing up late is not frowned upon, and they offer childcare!

This women’s only gym has been such a huge blessing!! There’s childcare during classes, a gorgeous facility, friendly members, fun instructors & lots of opportunities to attend workshops and events. The baby & me classes look adorable, and I’ve noticed many therapy led sessions that would’ve been so helpful if I had joined during pregnancy and early postpartum. So thankful now to be back in a gym, feeling comfortable and know that my kiddos are safe while I get my much needed power hour in!!

I have been with Natasha for many years as I was an online client before she opened her studio. I was hesitant at first to go in person, but I gave it a shot. Once I started, I found it hard to go anywhere else! All of the coaches are welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. The space is beautiful, clean and the complete opposite of intimidating. I love how the classes push me but still move at a comfortable pace- always prioritizing form which I really appreciate! It is a community of women and truly an inspiring place to challenge yourself and work toward your health goals. All of the members are supportive and encouraging so I just want to keep coming back! Thank you for creating such a fantastic community of strong women that I am proud to be a part of! I ♥️ Sage Society!

I’m so glad I found Sage! It’s such a welcoming space for women of all ages and fitness levels. I’m just getting back into a workout routine, and the encouragement from both the staff and other members has made all the difference. The classes are a great size—not too big—and there’s a nice variety, from small group training to larger sessions of around 15 people.

One thing that really stands out is how great this place is for moms—there’s on-site childcare, which is amazing! I wish Sage had been around when my daughter was little (she’s 20 now!).

The owner, Natasha, is fantastic. She brings so much energy, knowledge, and heart into everything she does. I especially love the fun workout challenges she runs—they really help keep me motivated.

Highly recommend Sage if you’re looking for a supportive, empowering gym for women!

This is the only woman-focused fitness community ( I say community because it’s more than a gym or fitness studio) in Santa Barbara with childcare for nearly every class!

Centrally located in Santa Barbara with ample parking, the space is clean, fully equipped with all things necessary to get a full body workout, and complete with competent, knowledgeable instructors. I used to have immense anxiety planning for a workout class around work, children, and life- but I have never been denied entry to a class for being late at Sage Society and in fact, welcomed with open arms, and music to get anyone in the mood for a sweat sesh. And I LOVE all their classes- HIIT, strength training, and boot camp. They also offer personal and semi private training to really hone in on and tailor to every body’s individual fitness needs. Their postpartum classes offer all the support mom’s need and even include baby in class !

This is exactly what was missing in Santa Barbara! Thanks to Natasha Caleel- we now have one fantastic space for all women:) First class is always free!

Found this gym looking for local prenatal strength and yoga classes. I have been so happy to find this gym so I can continue to work out safely but also meet other ladies who are pregnant too. They offer so much that I will def become a long term member. The staff is great and so are the workouts ( and I am not usually a group workout class person). Definitely check them out!

After becoming a mom I realized working out 4-5 days a week at the gym alone wasn’t doable or fun anymore. It took me 2.5 years to finally come to terms that I needed motivation and guidance in how to build strength and endurance with my new body, and in a way that fit my life as a full time working parent. Enter Sage Society! Recommended by a mom friend, I took a strength class and knew this is where I wanted to continue and sustain my fitness journey. A studio built for women and moms AND provides childcare is a rarity in the movement and exercise world, and I am so happy to become a member and support everything they are doing.

As a larger bodied woman, it can sometimes be uncomfortable or unpleasant to hold space in fitness places-at SAGE, there's so much support everyone is rooting for each other, and there's no competitive vibes. It's been really a treat to have found a safe space to work toward my goals. Natasha is so helpful with alternatives and making corrections, and the music keeps me motivated 💪happy to keep on keepin' on

Natasha is amazing! I started working with her last fall when I was 9 months postpartum and needed some help gaining my strength back. Through personal training sessions, at-home workouts on her app, and the in-person classes at sage society, I am feeling so much stronger than I did when I started.

Sage Society is such a wonderful space! Natasha and her team of trainers are so knowledgeable and friendly. It took me years to want to step foot at a gym because they all felt dark and crowded but at Sage Society I find myself excited to come in because of how open and light it is. The trainers are all very encouraging; and because of the small class size you get an almost 1:1 experience with offers for modifications or a nudge to push yourself a bit more. Their childcare room is so beautiful and the ladies who run childcare are very caring. Highly recommend trying out their classes and becoming part of a new community of women who are focused on building a strong and healthy body as well as meeting other women on the same journey!

Natasha and her team at Sage are truly a gift to this community. I've had the privilege of knowing Natasha for almost 10 years. Natasha's warmth, integrity, compassion and clear communication sets her apart. Pairing her background in OT and her advanced training in pelvic floor and perinatal care creates a one of a kind workout and supportive approach to movement in all stages of motherhood.

The spaces she cultivates, whether through @fitmamasb or @sage_society are sacred, curated and customized support for women of all ages. I've had the pleasure of doing both individual training in postpartum with my first, as I recovered from a c-section. Natasha used detail and care in creating a return to fitness plan that highlighted my unique challenges and I left our time feeling stronger, more confident and empowered to run again.

This time around with my second, I also navigated a medical complication that added additional need for care and customized concern. Natasha modified my moves and was specific about checking in during mama and me workouts, and has created a beautiful space with Sage Society for me to continue strengthening and moving my body in confident and healing ways. Almost a year out and I am feeling so grateful for this newly designed space, with the same heart and vibrance Natasha has always brought. Plus, her team is incredible -- so many fantastic humans!

Do yourself a favor and check out a complimentary class! You won't regret it. You just might be sore after. ;)
