This review applies to ymca ,21st st san bdno only. The director by name of ROBERTO FLORES violated company policy by not providing me with final incident report in writing concerning my 5 year old granddaughters dismissal from his facility for minor behavioral problems after being there for 3.5 days. She was accused of hitting a kid who also hit her and accidently throwing a ball at another kid hitting them in the chin and neither kid was hurt at all. There was NO EXCESSIVE AGGRESSION from my granddaughter that caused hurt of any kind and Roberto admits this but still dismissed her aft 2 pm anyway after having some good days there in the 3.5 days there and incidents occurred within a few mi uses time frame after 2pm after she had been at center since 8am with no I cidents prior. Regardless, Roberto dismissed 5 year old granddaughter by loudly approaching me in their lobby in front of customers and families embarrassing me as the gra mother, breaking confidentiality and failing to provide or plan to provide a FINAL INCIDENT REPORT for me or her mother. We both have professional jobs I retired state worker and her mom works for the federal govt and we know certain protocol needs to be followed for dis.issal yet Roberto as director violated ymcas policies and needs to be investigated. In addition I have filed a complaint with headquarters against him and please go to other ymcas to avoid unprofessional, rude and violations of company policies.

You just can't give this YMCA a good review if you've been to the Redlands YMCA. The staff you are lovely but you guys have to get it together and get some workout equipment to better serve your community

An excellent place to workout, and go for a indoor swim. The price for a membership Is much less than most gyms. The YMCA gives much more. A gym, pool, and a outdoor area with grass to enjoy pieace and quiet.

I took my boy's in there to use restroom. Soon as u walk in, there was old 70, 80 yr old white men walking by naked😡🤢 there behind the lady in front of glass wall. My kids didn't want to use bathroom

After 2pm the pool is recleaned and water is fresh , chlorine is jus right but staff isn’t too friendly at times but they do their job and mind their business. The lifeguards stay monitoring the guest in the pool. Some are surprised to see blacks there but they treat you with minimal respect, as well as some senior guest.

In theory this is a great place for the community. However the staff and coordinators are highly unreliable and do not follow the codes and standards that they are supposed to comply with. My son's school had a luau at the indoor pool. My son cut his foot on some type of debris they missed at the bottom of the pool and the lifeguard (nor the staff ) felt the need to let me know. I was not made aware of the injury until i went to pick him up and he was limping and crying! I understand that things happen, but once i tried to clarify the issue with the building coordinators i was given the run around and then never called back, as if the matter could be swept under the rug. Now i caution others on how they and their children will be handled when at this facility.

They have a really nice indoor pool that is great for someone who has joint issues and cannot exercise conventionally. They also have an income based assistance program. So it makes this gym available for people with fixed incomes.

I guess you get what you pay for. The young receptionist at the front was very unclear and rude when it came time for my payment and gave me a snobby attitude when I had questions regarding the payment. The area is also bad. There’s over 50 people in he front drinking and smoking as if it’s the hang out spot. If gymnastics were offered in the highland areas I would have went there.

I have taken my son to classes to this place and it’s excellent BUT it’s a shame that there is no one that speaks Spanish when it’s needed a friend called for information for his son and when she asked that if someone speaker Spanish they just hung up the call she called for second time asking in English and they told her that there is no one that speaks Spanish this place is in a zone where there are most latin, it will be good that there were bilingual people

I went to the San Bernardino branch on 6/22/17, i was unimpressed with the facility and the very little it has to offer. I am from Boise Idaho and have a membership with the YMCA there. This San Bernardino Y made my YMCA back home look like a country club. However, I find the staff (Danielle & Mercedes) there have great customer service skills, unlike the one I went in Highland.
