I wanted to like the gym I gave it so many chances for my daughter!! It gives small family owned but it is actually VERY cliquey.
Unless your child was just born knowing how to do a cartwheel forward roll and walk on a balance beam go to another gym. Dee which I believe is the darker hair coach, Taylor is older and blonde, is annoyed every class that 3 year olds don’t know how to do anything but fails to help them learn. Also hopefully your child is blonde because if not she in particular will completely avoid helping interacting or smiling at your child. She couldn’t call my child by her correct name or even acknowledge or help her when she clearly didn’t know how to do something.

Most 3 year olds, who’s at their first gymnastics class, are not going to know how to flip on a bar

I have never felt so unwelcome and my daughter is always so excited but is getting stone cold from her coaches because of things she cannot change.

My 4-year-old has been attending the Ninja class for several months now and absolutely loves it! Between the monthly cost and small group class, you're definitely getting more bang for your buck, which is always nice and especially in this economy! The class does several different activities within the hour focused on balancing and learning how to better understand and use their body movements (i.e. jumping, climbing, etc.). The kids are always appear engaged throughout the class (not easy with that age group) and always look like they're having the best time!

It really saddens me to update this review because we’ve been here for a few years now. This place has gone downhills. The teachers (new staffs) play favoritism and seems to be lost half the time, unable to control the children, the place is jam packed with kids and the parking is terrible. My daughter who’s in level 1 is doing the same thing she did 2 years ago with no progression. Hannah is really the only reason we stayed for as long as we did. She’s always on top of things to resolve issues and she is by far one of the best teachers when able to help the teachers out. Unfortunately I don’t see her teaching anytime soon and I’m not going to pay for my kid to feel left out half the time.

My daughter has been here for about a month and this felt more like a daycare than a gymnastics. The receptionist seemed like she the only one that looked like she knew what she was doing.

The owner of this gym is a horrible person. She called me today and asked me to remove a Yelp review I had posted about my experience with my older daughter. I told her that I did not feel like I could remove the review because the complaints I had in the post have not been fixed. The gym is not well maintained, they have way too many kids in the gym at the same time, half the time the water fountain is broken so the kids can’t even hydrate. They do not run trainings efficiently so kids waste lots of time standing around. I told her that the gym is close to our house and my youngest daughter is happy but I can’t lie or take down an honest review. She then told me that my six year old daughter was no longer going to be able to attend the gym and she was going to remove her from her upcoming gymnastics competitions. I told her that my daughter has been training for almost a year in preparation for those meets and she hung up on me. Then I tried to call back and she hung up on me two more times. I sent her email urging her to reconsider stating that she should not punish a six year old for an honest review I posted 4 years ago about my older daughter. She replied that she already removed her from the gym roster and competitions and that if we tried to go to the gym she would call the police. What kindof business owner try’s to blackmail customers into removing negative reviews? My six year old was crying all day not understanding why she can’t compete this weekend for a meet she has trained for almost a year! Not to mention the thousands of dollars we spent preparing for the meets.

I feel like this was just kids running around playing, which is nice for getting energy out. However, I don't feel as though any real gymnastics was taught to my kids 3 and 5

We love San Clemente Gymnastics Club. Our daughter has been going here since she was 4 and hasn't looked back since. We started at a very large and very important and very serious gym... And the moment it got too serious the kid was totally uninterested. So, we stayed local, and thank God. She has had the best time here, and they really go to great lengths to cultivate a culture of fun while encouraging and fashioning real abilities. This is a place where you could get serious if you want to, OR you can get some skills while you have some fun bouncing around and enjoying being young, limber, and strong. Us grown-ups should be so lucky. We've got two other kids in the pipeline on the way to this place, so hopefully they keep it up and stick around.

I would give zero stars if possible.

I attended the first and only day of my son's class I was in the gym next to him the entire time.

The lead instructor was impatient and instead of discussing my 4 year old son's behavior with me in person, she had the receptionist call and leave an unsavory message on my voicemail after he and I had left the gym. This was tactless on their part.

This place is not sensitive to a child's needs.
The instructor made no attempt to work things out. I even left class 30 minutes early because my son was overly tired (he had not slept well in 2 days).
My son is speech delayed and very possibly Autistic.
I will never understand why grumpy people insist on working with kids.

I have worked with kids with all levels of ability in the past as a former swim teacher. And I have never treated a parent the way that I was treated.
I will continue my search for a better place for my son.

My experience at San Clemente Gymnastics has been wonderful. I have two daughters, ages 7 and 10, who both LOVE their classes. My girls started about 1 1/2 years ago. My youngest is having the time of her life learning skills at a slow and steady pace, while my eldest was invited onto team rather quickly and loves the competition. (By the way, the team is very good!) The coaches are amazing and worth the commute if you don't live in the area. I HIGHLY recommend San Clemente Gymastics for gymnasts at all levels.

Both of my children have taken classes at SC gymnastics. Both my son and daughter LOVE going there and it has plenty to offer for children both boys and girls, and wonderful instructors that really watch and guide your child. It's a perfect gym for beginners as well as competitive gymnasts of all ages.

Both of my daughters have "grown up" at San Clemente Gymnastics and we love it! The coaches are wonderful and encouraging! I love the front office staff - they are great to work with. The gym offers many different classes for all different levels and ages. We started both of our girls in the Parent and Me classes when they were 18 months old and we have been a part of San Clemente Gymnastics since then (8 years +). I would highly recommend it to any friend!

We love this gym. The coaches are all so nice..the kids learn a lot and have fun. The customer service is top notch.....if you have any questions, need any special accomodations, want to make any changes, Hannah (the manager who runs day to day operations for the owner) is on it right away!
