We absolutely love this place! My daughter’s growth has been incredible since starting here. Not only has she become stronger, more flexible, and more confident in her gymnastics skills, but she has also grown so much in her discipline, focus, and self-confidence.

The coaches are amazing—so patient, encouraging, and dedicated to helping each child reach their potential. They make the classes fun and challenging at the same time, and you can tell they truly care about the kids. The staff is welcoming, professional, and always willing to answer questions or provide guidance.

We love San Diego Gymnastics! My 3 and 5 yr old are in the little ninjas parkour class. They’ve done gymnastics and jiu jitsu with other organizations, and while both were wonderful experiences, neither were met with the excitement they have for parkour with coach Nate. The staff are wonderful, and we feel like our boys are learning skills and gaining strength and agility that will help them in any other sport they play.

I LOVE San Diego Gymnastics at Grossmont Center in La Mesa. They are always SO helpful and kind. My daughter loves her level 2 class with Coach Joy (she’s so good about stair-stepping every movement in order to accomplish their final goal), and open gym is so fun! Coach Jordan is so amazing, he always puts the students first, always incredibly helpful, and encourages students and parents alike throughout class times and open gym.

We had a pretty negative experience here for summer camp. My son injured his head and the counselor was aware but did not inform me. I learned that evening and there was quite a welt on his head. He then bumped his head again in the same place the next day- no alert again. Then, he came home limping and hopping on one foot. Again, zero communication. In addition, every afternoon the kids were waiting for parents basically alone, no signout procedure or showing ID. No counselor ever greeted me or gave any info at all. I just walked in, grabbed the kids and left. Very unusual lack of safety for a kids camp especially one in the middle of a busy mall. Finally, water day that was not in the canp email, and zero info about whether there were field trips (as allowed in the waiver). My two emails to camp admin have gone unanswered. Definitely will not return. I would give 1 star but my kids had a decent time.

We have been coming here for 3 years now and our experience is excellent. Our daughter is 5 now and absolutely loves it! SDG is a safe environment with great coaches ( coach Marry is amazing and has been an inspiration to our daughter). The manager coach Jordan is always in a great mood and is always accommodating when we need something. I highly recommend SDG!

My daughter absolutely loves SD gymnastics in Grossmont. She looks forward to it every week. She’s been attending since we moved here from the East coast. All the staff and management is great. The manager Jordan has the best energy, so accommodating and always has a great attitude and approachable demeanor. Both my son and daughter attend classes. My son, parkour and my daughter, level one conditioning. We love it! Coaches Mary, Nate, Anna, Talia and Jordan are all amazing and very friendly. It teaches discipline and flexibility for other activities while having fun! We also love their "kids night out"! Open gym for four hours that let's us parents do whatever we want kid free.

We have been going to this location since August 2022. My daughter Mavis had just turned 4 and was showing interest in wanting to do gymnastics. She started off with coach Itzel and absolutely loved her for about 6-7 months before she went on her new adventure. Mavis has switch to other classes such as Parkour which was awesome to burn off some of the energy she had lol. I love the flexibility of many different types of classes and times. All of the coaches are amazing. She is currently on her 2nd years and now doing level 1 which is age 6+ and she absolutely loved it. The littlest one but matches all the energy of all the girls in her class.

I love that it is once a week for Mavis since she does have school now. But you could sign them extra class if you like. I always tells my friends about how much Mavis love doing gymnastics. This is something my late husband has always love watching her do and since he passed, my father in law insists of paying for her to continue to do this. Definitely an investment for young kids to do if you’re able to do for them. The friends she made. The confidence I see in her after every class

We have been taking our daughter here for over a year and the coaches are awesome. Love the classes and how they develop the children both mentally and physically. Lots of positive reinforcement with boundaries, and we love that. Gymnastics can be an expensive sport and we really like the value we get at this gym. Each class our daughter improved or learned a new skill. Coach Joy and Coach Ana are amazing! So many great coaches, these are the two we have worked with over the last year and a half. Our daughter is now a part of the competition team and like that there is still a balance of fun and hard work. Would love a bit more seating during busy times, but that’s it!

I couldn’t be more satisfied with our time spent here at SD Gymnastics! My son is now 4 years old, and has been coming here for a few months now. Coach Lenka, Coach Josh, Coach Jordan, and Coach Gabby have all been tremendous teachers for my son. All he wants to do is gymnastics, and obstacle courses at home. I have been so impressed with SD Gymnastics. The coaches are incredible with how they teach kids new skills, changing up the material every week, scaffolding up to more advanced moves, and making it fun. You can tell the coaches genuinely enjoy the kids! They've adjusted their instruction with my two girls-- pushing one to advance, and finding ways to give extra support to the other. I've also experienced excellent customer service. Coach Autumn has been flexible with our family's needs-- clear about the policies but eager to accommodate us whenever possible. Watching my girls grow in their strength, skills, and confidence in such a positive environment is a weekly highlight!

And they scam you by billing on the 1st of the month so if you pay for your first month but your class doesn’t start till the 3rd etc you already paid for that month AND the following month even if you don’t want to continue the next month and they WILL NOT refund you. 1000% do not recommend and we are taking our business elsewhere.

I have children enrolled here for after school care. Wow what a great place. The children are off their screens, able to complete homework and have lots of fun with par core, gymnastics and just general conditioning. The gym does not have transportation from school but there are ride services that due the job. If more children enroll in the program they might reinstate from school transportation. If you are looking for great after school care for both boys and girls, give this place a try!

I have several issues with SD Gymnastics at Grossmont Center...1) my very motivated 5 yo daughter was doing much more advanced gymnastics moves at another gym prior to relocating to San Diego. Unless your child is "chosen" to move on to a more advanced level, you are stuck with moving up with the large group classes that are very average. They have to be average because there are a lot of kids to teach. 2) I took my kids to their "parents night out" only one time and my daughter was crying because she said another girl was picking on her and the staff did nothing to stop it. Also, all the kids were grouped together and they were supposed to break them into groups. 3) Be careful about their billing - if you quit going, they keep billing you and billing you and billing you - you MUST call and make sure you are not getting billed any longer. We moved on to private lessons at another gymnastics company so my kids could get better coaching. To the management...please do not feel the need to make excuses for your actions. I am just warning others.

My son and daughter is signed up for a one hour gymnastics lesson every Wednesday. The contract is paid in monthly installments. Due to a family medical emergency, we missed a day. After speaking with the Grossmont manager, Autumn, and the gymnastics Director, Erin, I am disappointed to find out that my son and daughter are NOT ALLOWED to attend any other one of their twenty odd classes throughout the week to make up for the day lost.

That's unacceptable. There are plenty other places that would happily say "Sure, just bring them in on Thursday!"

These better places include:
IGD San Diego
Elite Gymnastics Academy
Champion Gymnastics and Cheer

They are less expensive too!
