San Diego Gymnastics is an excellent place for children to learn and grow in the sport of gymnastics. We’ve been coming to San Diego Gymnastics for about 2 to 3 years now with both of our kids and it has been such a wonderful experience. The facility is great but what really makes this place special are the coaches.

Coach Lexi is truly amazing. She is energetic, bubbly, friendly, and so personable. She connects with the kids in such a genuine way and makes every class fun and encouraging. If it were possible we would love for her to coach our kids throughout their entire gymnastics journey.

We have also had Coach Aubrey in the past and she is fantastic as well. She works so well with the kids and makes learning skills approachable and fun. Currently my oldest has Coach Christina and she has been a great fit, teaching awesome skills and really helping the kids progress.

Overall we love it here. The coaches create such a positive and supportive environment and our kids have gained not just gymnastics skills but also confidence and joy. Highly recommend San Diego Gymnastics.

An amazing gym! My daughter started taking classes their opening weekend and is now on her second year with the competitive team. Her coaches have this wonderful balance of motivating my daughter to try something new and getting her out of her comfort zone, coupled with nurturing and encouragement, which makes her feel so proud when she’s accomplished a new skill. We’re visiting from Pasadena as we’re displaced from the wildfire (family and house are all safe thankfully) but we still can’t return. My daughter has been coming here for three months and absolutely loves it! The coaches design appropriately challenged activities and change the activities frequently according to the age of the child. For example, my child is three years old, and requires an activity change about every 15 minutes. The classes here seem to provide that. Such a variety with tasks, that my child does not get bored. At previous gymnastics locations, she will lose interest after one month. But here she goes with enthusiasm every week and has even done their winter camp with full engagement.

All of the staff and coaches have been lovely. My daughter enjoys the classes however they are not flexible with make ups, closed many days, and their practice of having long periods of closure while charging the same monthly cost was shocking and totally inappropriate. Beware and carefully read all you are signing up for. I was uncomfortable with the initiation fee but signed up with friends and thought with the price they would be sure to make it worth it. My experience has been that the price gouging extends far beyond that once you are in their system. Also know that it takes over 30 days to cancel so you are signed up for the next month if you want to be or not. I wish we had a wonderful experience to write about but instead it feels important to warn others.

If I could give this place 100 stars, I honestly would! I was so careful in choosing the perfect gymnastics program for my son, and when I found out they offered parkour, I was beyond thrilled. It’s such a unique and valuable skill for little boys! From the moment we did the trial class, I was completely blown away by the passion and care of the teachers. Now, after over six months, I’ve even enrolled my son in their Jumpstart program because I believe so much in what they offer. I’ve also referred my two younger brothers, and they love it just as much!

The environment here is so welcoming and positive, and the teachers are not only talented but truly dedicated to each child’s growth. My son has developed amazing skills and confidence since joining. I can’t recommend this place enough—if you’re looking for a supportive, fun, and skill-building experience for your kids, this is the place to be!

This is a well run business! The facility is huge, bright, and everything (including the equipment) is well taken care of. It may seem a touch pricier, but you can see where the money is going.

SDG La Costa is absolutely amazing. We signed our daughter up a little less than a year ago due to having a horrible experience at a different local gymnastics center. The staff has gone above and beyond to make my daughters experience as well as her well being their main priority. Staff is so friendly, the gym is extremely clean, and the kids have a great time. Once a month they do a kids night out and it is definitely a favorite in my family. Kids love to run around the gym with supervision while my husband and I get to have a date night. I am in love with this place! My daughter attended their Jumpstart preschool program when they first opened. She is very very shy and doesn’t like to be left without me. She instantly walked in her first day and waved goodbye. She had a blast and her teacher Miss Ashley is superb! She moved onto a new school but started gymnastics immediately after. She loves her gymnastics days and her coaches have all been so wonderful, caring and has the ability to keep their attention and have them all fully engage. She comes home to show off what she learns. SDG started their kids night out program where both my 7 year old and 4 year old attend. They never stop talking about how much fun they have!! They will stay the entire 4 hours and don’t want to go home. Again, amazing coaches and fun activities all night long. Once I found out they were booking for birthday parties, I had to sign up!! We had both kids’ party with all their friends and their parents cannot stop talking about how great it was and how much fun their child had. The two coaches we had were so so amazing. Again, they kept them safe, engaged, and gave them activities as well as open gym play. If I had one complaint it’s that it went too quick. We loved it so much and will continue to come to all their future activities and events!!
