Kickboxing, Boot camp & Beyond at S&J Fitness and Kickboxing is a non-military style fitness boot camp that takes you far beyond common boot camps, as you will strap on your boxing gloves to hit, kick and punch your stress away in addition to many other fat-torching, muscle-toning exercises

I’ve really loved being part of the studio and the community it brings! I’ve been coming three to four times a week and every class has been such a great experience. I honestly would rate the trainers a 10 out of 10! What I love about them and this place is I've felt safe but also motivated to keep going every day. I've never felt proud of the workouts I've been able to finish. The whole environment is amazing everyone cheers you on and makes you feel comfortable. It's a great spot to workout for both men and women due to the kickboxing focused cardio classes and a boxing specific class on Tues/Thurs. This gym is the place to be! The staff are all so kind and helpful (I ask lots of questions and always get thoughtful answers) I joined under a membership challenge that coupled workouts 2 days a week with a nutrition plan. I’m a fit model which means I have a specific measurement range (bust, waist, hips) that I need to stay between. I was tipping into the wrong (large) end of my measurements for a client and needed to take fast action to keep my job. The nutrition plan worked so well I wound up on the too small end of my specs. But the coaches worked with my goals and helped me to balance out.

S&J Fitness is an unassuming, hole-in-a-wall, get-out-what-you-put-in space to punch, kick, and lift things without worry.

Step inside and you’ll be met with really supportive members, encouraging coaches, and challenging circuits that will make 45 minutes fly by (unless they call out burpees or pull out the battle ropes, then you’ll feel each and every second of it).

Anyway, I just finished the 4-week kickboxing bootcamp class package from Groupon and I was able to do 3-4/classes per week with my schedule. Before I knew it, I’ve already done 10+ classes after my first 21 days.

They offer early and later classes during the week, and early classes during Saturday/holidays which offer great flexibility to help you dedicate 45 minutes to yourself and your health.

I’ve never tried kickboxing before and have VERY limited physical activity experience before joining and I genuinely enjoyed the learning process (combos, form, equipment, movement in general). The coaches emphasize proper form and are quick to help you modify the exercises to wherever you are in your fitness journey.

I’ve just completed my Groupon package and will be signing up to be a member! I’ve been able to celebrate both scale and non-scale victories these past 4 weeks so I’m excited to keep doing this for myself.

I am ecstatic with S&J! I joined the gym a year ago and lost 18 pounds and gained muscle. I work out a few times a week and signed up for a 6 week challenge that helped me to learn how to change my way of eating- nothing too drastic but I lost a lot of weight with slight modifications to my diet. The challenge was easy and worked because it held me accountable so I could reach my goals. I have nerve compression in my arms and have to modify some of the exercises at times, and I always feel so comfortable that I won't end up injured since I don't feel forced to do anything I am afraid will trigger pain. Love this place! I started coming here after signing up for the 6 week challenge. I lost 26lbs during the challenge. I went to the gym 4 times a week and had an accountability coach! I started Sept 18th. It’s now 1/3 and I’ve lost 38lbs so far!! The trainers are great and the members are great as well! Really recommend this place, trust me you won’t regret it!

I have been a member since 2018, each work out is for 45 min,
You do learn kickboxing moves, you will lift weights, trx, a lot of core workouts.
It is an awesome experience…you will get stronger for sure.
My husband also joined the gym, he has been able to loose around 40 pounds, he is diabetic and he doesn’t need insulin.
We do workout 5 times per week.

I started back in 2018, I found them on Facebook, I was looking for something different than regular gyms.
I love the atmosphere, it is just 45min working out but they mixed punching bags, weights, Trx, cardio.
Coaches are alway pushing you, they will correct you posture and movements to make sure you can get the best of your workouts.
Last year they were able to keep the work out from home that was awesome.

Incredible, life-altering experience!! Challenging and effective workout sessions that make you finish off each class feeling so accomplished. Great variety in exercise moves and music. Andy and his team of trainers are amazing, amazing, amazing! Love the schedule of Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays cardio kickboxing sessions, Tuesdays & Thursdays strengthening sessions, Saturday mix of both. Early morning 5AM-9:15AM and evening 4:30PM-8:15PM sessions allow for it to be possible to have a fit lifestyle while still balancing out other obligations in life. I cannot praise and thank Andy and his team enough! So fortunate to have encountered S & J FITNESS AND KICKBOXING.

Andy is dedicated to providing his clients with an exceptional exercise experience and a platform for living a healthy lifestyle, long-term. He is prompt with answering our questions, he’s understanding of our struggles and the challenges we encounter with weight and nutrition as he’s shared his own past struggles and can relate. Andy is so optimistic and supportive – constantly reminding us of what’s important: to work on creating a better version of ourselves, to be proud of ourselves in taking this step, to see progress as progress even if it may seem small, to not compare ourselves to others, and to fight off our evil twin. He’s not overbearing – making this experience that much more rewarding as we genuinely are doing this for ourselves and not because he is forcing us or because we are contracted to his gym because we’re not since the memberships are bi-weekly. I am so happy to see his business grow and the clientele he’s gained, to go from traveling from park to park (lugging those heavy kickboxing bag stands for us, on and off his truck - now that is dedication) to opening up his own gym in Cerritos. He is so deserving of this and we are so fortunate to have someone as altruistic as him to share his knowledge with us and to give us a chance at living a healthy and fit life.

His workouts and nutritional plan work - trust me, and trust the process. For once in my life, I have seen results.

I recently joined the 6-week challenge in September and lost over 15 pounds, 12 inches and dropped 5.8% in body fat. Let me tell you, it sure was challenging, but it is doable (we didn’t even have to count calories)! Trust me – this is coming from someone who has lower back issues. I have 2 slipped/herniated discs/lumbar stenosis from bending down and putting on socks in 2012! I never would have thought I could be active again. I had another set-back with months of not being active due to being in a car accident in 2014 that injured my knee. But with time, patience, discipline, a daily routine of stretching, and activity modification, I slowly re-introduced working out to my life again. I was working out at the gym, running, AND performing workout videos. However, I could never achieve results - I couldn’t lose any more than 3lbs and would constantly hit a plateau. I recently turned 30 and decided I wanted to do something for myself to prove that it is not too late to be fit and that I was capable. I wanted to give myself the chance for once, to do it right and to do it under professional guidance.

This challenge has been such a rewarding experience. It has given me a better quality of life. I am so much healthier and happier. I have not only gained physical, mental and emotional strength, endurance, perseverance, but knowledge of nutrition and living a healthier lifestyle that I can take with me to continue practicing for the long run.

I idolize Andy and appreciate him and his staff: Tawnya for sharing her story at the orientation to the 6-week challenge and for her daily runs and marathons, the amazing trainers Alexis, Byron and Rachelle for their fun classes, their positive energy, their constant encouragement and their dedication to us. I am so grateful.

I hope this encourages others to join and give S & J a chance, as this place and the people have enabled me to learn that it is never too late to give ourselves the best chance at a healthy, happy life.

I had a free orientation but it didn’t happen due to a emergency from one ☝️ of the trainers and I understood. I tried to reschedule it for another day and time however I had college classes and it conflicted with my schedule. That was not my problem it was I couldn’t get a hold of anyone over the phone ☎️ I kept calling and it kept going into vm and said I had to send a text message I did all of those not once but 3-4 times?! Once I got a hold of someone I had went to the free orientation and it was ok my issues were it’s a very small place and I had to get a small doze of boxing 🥊 and some of people had used it before and I could tell it was sweaty?! I know it’s going to be a sweaty place like a gym and once the mini orientation was done ✅ here was the paperwork coming up ugh I didn’t want to sign up and I felt pressured into it! I explained after the last two other people left that I had a kidney transplant two years and I had limited income on social security disability and I cannot afford $69 two weeks!! No thank you plus I run the risk of getting sick 😷 I don’t know how much they clean their equipment and then I got lost finding the place! The only person that helped me was Carole she texted me back and she confirmed that they would not charge my card for anything because I didn’t go to any other class after that free orientation! I believe they should have better communication and customer service especially when someone is disabled! Just saying not hating!

When I first met Trainer Andy he was at a park he had a class at 5am & my friend Kathy kept telling me how great of a trainer he was so I joined the 5am class because I had a 1/2 marathon coming up! & I needed some pounds off and some strenght...After doing my half I fell off and I kept seeing S&J fitness roll down my fb page so I decided to go over there and check it out again And wow Trainer Andy has really stepped up his game, Let me tell you S&Js fitness and kickboxing is LIT!!! I dont care if its 5am or 5pm its always jammin inside that place the staff & instructors are LIT TOO!!! Very nice, very proffessional and knowledgeable Andy has a great team...you get what you pay for, they can help you achieve in 45 ninutes what you might be in a gym 2 or 3 hours trying to get ...it's well worth it!!! Just a great place over all and I just wanna give a shout out to Alexis, that girl is badd to the bone you will get a good workout with her Anthony & Byron...they are thev5am jammin crew!

It's just fun to workout here. The staff AND other people working out are friendly, helpful, and encouraging. Highly recommend bringing your own gloves and yoga mat. Make sure you use the restroom before going here because sometimes the bathroom is not available.

I've been coming to S&J fitness since April 2015 and I have loved every minute if it. I started when we were at the park a small group and making the transition to the gym has been great we have more people and it's great. There's no judging here were a Happy FiT FAM. Were all a team we push one another, weve become a Family. There no putting down here were all on different levels and work at different paces and that's the best part, you just do what you can to keep improving.
I can say coming to S&J Fitness has been the best decision I have ever made and an amazing change in my life. It's not all about working out it's also nutrition and learning to keep up with it. I've done about 6 challenges and continue to incorporate the nutrition on a daily basis. Trainer Andy and the team Divi and Anthony are the Best. Look forward to seeing one of them Everyday. My advice come to S&J you WONT regret it. Love, Love S&J Fiteness it has been one of the best places I have ever worked out at one of the reasons is because they will modify the training to fit any style level. Before coming here I tried another kickboxing class in Redondo Beach and it was not for me. S&J is the type of place where there is "normal" people like myself enjoying the workout. You get to workout with gloves, 2 different types of bags and weights.
