If you’re even thinking about personal training, stop looking and go with Cody. Not only are his prices incredibly reasonable, but the value you get goes far beyond the hour you spend in the gym. Cody truly goes above and beyond for his clients. His deep knowledge of anatomy and injury prevention and recovery is unmatched, which gave me so much confidence knowing I was training safely and effectively. He’s not just a trainer; he becomes a genuine friend who roots for your progress every step of the way. Sessions are always productive, motivating, and fun. I've been coming to SMTF for a while now, and it's easily one of the best gyms around. The equipment selection is excellent, with everything you need for strength training, cardio, and functional workouts. One of the things I appreciate most is that it never feels overly crowded—you can always find space to train without waiting around for machines or weights.

If you're remotely serious about getting into shape, becoming a healthier and happier you, you really owe it to yourself to check out Self Made in RSM.
1) The equipment is top notch. The machines and racks are the most heavy duty, smooth, balanced, and rock-steady out there.
2) The facility is exclusive. You're not going to have to do battle against throngs of "sightseers" hogging up machines while spending all their time texting and chatting with each other. This is a serious gym for people who value their time.
3) I said it's serious, but it's not an attitude gym. Every last person here, of all shapes, ages, genders, and sizes, is here to better themselves and every last one of them is proud of you for being there for the same. The trainers and members at this gym applaud you and support you. It truly feels more like a family than a gym. You will not find a gym environment more supportive of your goals no matter where you are in your journey and no matter what your goals are.
4) There are specialists for every style of training and every possible need when it comes to health, wellness, and fitness. They have boxing coaches who work with the abled, disabled, young, and elderly, MMA coaches with perfect technique and a whole lot of patience, coaches who specialize in working with kids, for sports, for competition, for recomposition, for balance and flexibility, for recovery from injury, for fixing a lifetime of bad posture and poor habits… anything. And upstairs, there's a whole world of wellness offered with chiropractic, physical therapists, massage, infra-red treatments, nutrition…

Bottom line: In a world of mediocre gym experiences, Self Made RSM stands out head and shoulders above anything else out there. Join this gym as a VIP member, or hire a trainer. I have been training with Aleesha a little over 2 years now and she truly cares about her clients. Not only to achieve your physical goals but on the days when you don’t think you can push yourself she is there to encourage and support you from the beginning to the end. She has brought back the confidence I never knew I had and has kept me accountable to reaching my goals.
It is easy to be intimated at the gym especially when you are starting from day 1 but she has made the experience enjoyable and something to look forward to each week.
She always has a smile on her face even when it’s telling you “1 more rep” :)

A friend of mine insisted I go here after I found out that my weight gain was causing sleep apnea and in turn increasing my anxiety. I never understood what people meant when they say “I feel like a million bucks.” Now I do.
It is one of the most amazing feelings to WANT to go to a place where you feel taken care of and actually cared about, where you can not only get a thoroughly satisfying experience, knowing that your body is improving both physically and MENTALLY. I feel treated with respect and comfortable. I feel healthy and rejuvenated.
My trainer is Ian Deak. He made me realize my full potential and, for that, I am ever grateful. I finally have the tone and definition I have always wanted to achieve. My shoulders and my waistline are starting to look rock solid. My shirts look much better on me. I have never hugged a trainer, and that speaks for itself! My motivation is my trainer Annette as some know her as SWOLE Pocahontas. The main motivator to me is that Annette is strong not only physically but mentally to, Annette pushes me to be a better version of myself. Her teaching goes above and beyond of just a workout. Annette taught me the discipline and how to keep my routine even for days I’m not able to workout with her. Self Made Training Facility is much equipped and all around all trainers are friendly and helpful. These type of equipment are not found in a regular gym. Upstairs they have services that you can do when already there no need to drive somewhere else. Self made training facility has a chiropractor, thera red light which I did do and I highly recommend has multiple benefits and now they have polar H2O cold plunge that I have yet to try. They also offer boxing classes.

If you want to get back into shape, lose that baby weight, or the Covid weight we all gained, look no further. I 100% recommend this gym, especially the trainer Annette. I came here to get some help with loosing my baby fat after my second child.i weighed 138 and got to 128,. 10 lbs may not seem like a lot but it is because i also toned areas that i love. I lost the baby fat plus gained beautiful attributes, that now my husband cannot get his hands off me. Not only did Annette help me achieve my goals but she also became like family, being there every step of the way. She took the time to really educate me and direct me. She gave me the attention and help I needed. I love this gym. It took a few years to find a place where I felt like I fit in. My trainer Ian is awesome and truly cares for his clients and helping them along their fitness and health journey. The gym also offers other services that’s so helpful. I have scoliosis which causes back and hip pain. Ian recommended their chiropractor Mike and I feel like a new person. Been training with Ian Deak for a few years now and im loving this new facility. 10,000sqft and everyone has been super welcoming since we’ve relocated to this spot. State of the art equipment and clean. Started training Muay Thai with Ian, and continue to do so here with their giant boxing ring, and heavy bags. We now incorporate alot more strength training and im loving the state of the art equipment. I was training with Johnny Ayala for almost a year johnny Ayala was keeping changing the agreed days and the agreed hours.
one day I tell him no more, and ask to keep my schedules at agree time (5 am )
Then johnny Ayala don't respect that and keeped changing the schedule

Definitely Im not recommend Johnny Ayala, he is very unprofessional

I've been seeing Yvonne Abdi for about 7months now and her knowledge and advise on how to lose body fat has made such a huge change in my life. I was able to lose 10lbs weight and almost 6% body fat in 6 weeks!! I have the scan results to prove it! Also, Yvonne's flexibility and availability to answer any questions makes it easy to access her if you are uncertain about a meal you want to have or a supplement you want to take. The facility looks great and has many services, although I have not used most of them. My experience is mainly with Yvonne Abdi. I have done two fat burn challenges with her, and I have seen great results both times. She is very knowledgeable and friendly. I have always been active my entire life playing soccer and ice hockey, but never have I had the desire to walk into a gym and use free weights as a form of exercise. My wife has worked out at the gym for years so I decided I would try again in hopes of having that common interest.
In 2020, I started taking workout classes at a local gym that taught me the importance of lifting and eating. It was great and changed my life and I was hooked. I wanted to take it a step further and I felt that one-on-one Training would push to help me target specific muscle groups. So I sought out for that next step in training and the day I was introduced to Johnny Ayala was the day that I started this new journey.
Training with Johnny, I have not only gained muscle and decreased my body fat, but I can honestly say that I am proud of my body. I'm not afraid to walk around in a bathing suit and feel years younger.

When I walked into Self Made for the very first time Mel greeted me with a smile and was very welcoming; she made me feel very comfortable in the gym. Not only is she an impeccable trainer, she became a friend who I thoroughly enjoy talking to, which made our sessions that much easier. Even though she’ll kick your a** (in the best way possible), she does it with love! Setting up appointments with her is a breeze. She’s just a text or DM away. For real though, she isn’t just “another trainer”, she’s an incredible human who you’ll be missing out on if you go with anyone else!!

I found Issa on IG (Coach_Iron_Issa) a couple years back and hired him to help me trim down and gain some muscle. He far exceeded my expectations with his knowledge of nutrition and exercise execution. He was super patient in guiding me through the process and there with me every step of the way. Issa is the best coach at Self Made hands down. I’m sure the other trainers are decent, but I wouldn’t bother being coached by anyone else given the guaranteed results he has helped me and others achieve. As if his physique alone isn’t a good enough resume, each and every one of his clients has seen amazing progress, myself included, backed up with progress photos available in case you have any doubts.

I found this gym from a simple google search; it was the closest one to me, and luckily it turned out to be the best gym I’ve ever been in. I looked up trainers on their website, and was really drawn to Mel!
I’m now a month and a half into training with her, and honestly I don’t think there’s enough space in this review to write all the wonderful things I could say about her.
Off the bat, she was extremely friendly, punctual, and made me feel welcome. For the first time stepping into a gym, I didn’t feel judged/out of place.
Mel has already helped me achieve visible results, and this is just the beginning. My confidence, mental health, and overall well-being has skyrocketed. This is the healthiest I’ve ever felt in my life, both physically and mentally.
She’s extremely knowledgeable about movements, form, nutrition, and so on. I was clueless before, and she’s been able to answer every question I’ve had, and even found me a reputable chiropractor.
She talks to me as if I’m her friend, not just her client. She’ll hype you up, make you excited to do more, and will have you feeling eager to go to the gym (something I NEVER thought I’d feel)!
She celebrates all your wins, even if they’re small, and motivates you to push through when certain movements get difficult. At the end of the day, she has your goals in mind. It doesn’t feel like a punishment, it feels like help.
I could keep going on, but her actions speak for themselves, and I implore you to hire her. You won’t regret it. :)

I've been training with Mel for about 3 weeks now and let me tell you, when a trainer cares and loves what they do you will see results. Prior to meeting Mel I was training with another trainer for about 6-7 months and during that time didn't see the results I'm seeing now. I’ve been training with Mel for a little over a year now, and she is by far the best trainer I’ve ever worked with out of all the years I’ve been training. It’s hard to come by people like her who are genuinely and actively trying to help you better yourself, and with Mel I’ve been more on top of my fitness and nutrition than ever. I can even consider her my life coach a lot of the times 😂 because half of the battle with fitness is just mental.

On the days that I don’t feel like showing up, she motivates me to not only show up and do the work, but to bring 110% effort and feel super accomplished afterwards. The equipment is up to date and always working - plus they have all the gems like the Hip Thrust machine, Training Platform, Turf, Sleds, Boxing Bags, outside Bootcamp area and every other weight/machine you need.
