Feb 15th update: Training remains excellent.
Since starting my program; blood pressure dropped from 147/80 to 129/60. Total cholesterol has dropped from 296 to 186. Resting heart rate from 64 to 57. Weight from 250 to 220. Completed the Mission Trails five peak challenge.
May 15, 2023: Completed a 16mi hike in the Grand Canyon. Down South Kaibab, across East Tonto to Havasupai Garden, out to Plateau Point then up Bright Angel Trail. This time w/o the knee compression sleeve. No knee problems. All of the workouts at Science Fitness fixed my knee problems

I started working out with Mike Jensen at age 55, getting in shape for my upcoming marriage. I am now back with him, twice weekly, at age 72, regaining strength and flexibility after learning I have Congestive Heart Failure. I am feeling so much better, mentally and physically.

Mike is everything you could ask for in a trainer. Very knowledgeable on a wide range of fitness approaches (we alternate between kickboxing and strength/weight training, but he's also an expert in mixed martial arts and yoga among others). What really makes Mike great though is his attitude and energy. It's clear that he is passionate about fitness and he makes the experience fun (and that's an adjective I rarely use when it comes to exercise...). Super positive, great sense of humor, zero intimidation but he also knows how and when to push things to the limit to ensure that I'm getting the most out of my sessions. Highly recommend!

I have been working out with Mike for about 6 months and it has been great. Mike is a great trainer, very professional and very knowledgeable. The key for me has been that I have been going for 6 months meaning that I like going and like working out with him. He changes my routine weekly so I don't get bored. One week I will be boxing, the next week I am working out with free weights, the next the machines. In the past with other trainers I would go for a few sessions and bail because I dreaded it. I would get pushed beyond my limits, feel like a failure and not go back. Mike definitely challenges me and I am seeing gains in my muscle mass, strength and flexibility and at pace that I can stick with. For me it is a marathon and not a sprint and Mike is helping me get there.
