Not a Safe Environment – Stay Away from SCV Cheer Program!
The SCV Cheer business deserves no stars! It was clear that verbal abuse, neglect, and bias are the core of how this place is run. The coaches are incredibly rude and unprofessional, often belittling the athletes and creating a hostile environment full of hatred and toxicity.
If you dare to speak up or advocate for your child, be prepared for the worst. Not only do the coaches and owner Danielle retaliate, but they take it out directly on your child. This type of behavior is completely unacceptable and damaging to young athletes who should be in a supportive environment.
The lack of communication from the owner is appalling. With email after email, Danielle never responds to concerns or issues, but she is always very quick to take your money when it comes time to sign up or pay for the month. Numerous times Danielle would twist everything to fit her own narrative, going as far as to lie to cover up her and her staff’s unprofessional behavior. It’s clear that she and her mother (who also works at SCV) lack any sense of professionalism, and their biased treatment of certain families and athletes is blatant.
The entire place is run with absolutely no regard for the children’s well-being.
After advocating for my daughter and other kids over and over this incident was the last straw. The treatment my daughter received during a recent incident was enough. My daughter suffered 3 fractures(she didn’t know this at the time) and was in severe pain, crying to the point that she was unable to walk & breathe properly. Despite her visible distress and the fact that her leg was swollen and turning purple, no first aid was administered by the staff and my daughter was left neglected. She was left isolated in a corner, enduring excruciating pain with no one coming to her aid. It’s particularly troubling as we were informed by Danielle that all coaches and assistants are trained in first aid. Instead of properly administering her, my daughter was told to drink water & return, and her cheer mates, who attempted to help her as they saw her in excruciating pain, were chastised for doing so.
At no point were we, her parents, notified of the situation. Thankfully, my daughter had her phone with her and was able to call me. When I rushed in to get my daughter, I asked an assistant coach what had happened. Her response was, “I don’t know?! I didn’t even know your daughter was missing.” When I requested to speak with Danielle, I was informed that she was not in. I was shocked by the lack of awareness and accountability—this level of neglect was unacceptable.
After taking my daughter to the ER, it was confirmed that she had suffered 3 fractures. We later met with Danielle to discuss the incident and express our concerns. Shockingly, when me and my husband reiterated the seriousness of my daughter’s injuries and neglect, even showing Danielle the X-rays for my daughters foot, Danielle’s response was dismissive, asking, “What is the underlying issue here? I have other girls to teach.” My husband and I are still appalled by the lack of compassion and the mishandling of this situation. What was worse is knowing that Danielle was not present this particular day. Meaning my child’s care was in the hands of incompetent assistant high school coaches. As parents we were unaware of Danielle not being present, as this day parents were not allowed to enter the premises for this particular practice. When I caught Danielle lying about her not being present, this made her mad and even more dismissive.
As a concerned parent, I feel it is important to warn other families about the safety issues at this facility. My 9-year-old daughter has expressed that she no longer feels safe attending, and I urge other parents to consider the numerous similar reviews regarding the issues at this business. The consistent nature of these complaints should serve as a serious warning to all.
SCV Cheer is a toxic and harmful environment. Stay far away!

Before enrolling your children at this gym, please do your own research to evaluate whether it is a suitable environment. If I had known better, I would never have exposed my children to this gym. There are many reasons why, but to start, no child should experience emotional and mental abuse, especially at an impressionable age that will have over-arching ramifications over a lifetime. Children should have positive reinforcement to work diligently toward their passions; however, in my experience, the opposite is true at SCV All Stars. We observed the denigrating manner in which they spoke to the children, the bullying, and pitting them against each other. There was also unnecessary pressure applied with threats of demotion before a competition that included late-breaking routine changes, and then there were the intimidation chants.
I felt that a mounting list of concerns, including verbal and emotional abuse, retaliation, and bullying, required direct communication with the owner and coach versus their required process of nominating a team mom to speak on my behalf. Having done that, I was in the same situation as the children, experiencing retaliation and having resolved nothing. Instead of a productive conversation, the owner banned my children from performing two days before they were scheduled to compete, for which they had been practicing for months.
I thought athletic cheer at SCV All Stars would benefit my children and help prepare them for other good practices as they grow. In the end, however, the behavior patterns of the owner and coach affected more than just a cheer routine. I never expected nor would I wish for another parent or their children to experience what we went through. In closing, research this or any gym, talk with your peers that have their kids enrolled in various gyms, and if you sign up, ask your kids about what happens in practice and pay attention to their well-being so that you ultimately can protect them from any harm.

I am only giving it one star because I can't give it zero stars! Stay as far away from this place as possible! The level of toxicity is unbelievable. We were members there for two years and we weren't the type of parents that just drop off and use the gym as a babysitter service. We were active participants. We were there 3-4 times a week, sometimes Saturday and Sunday. As time went on, we started to notice situations where the coaches were becoming more and more verbally abusive toward our kids. The final straw was the competition in Palm Springs. At the same competition, our girls had just finished their routine and after there were about 6 girls uncontrollably crying after they came off the stage. I asked my daughter who was one of the girls that was crying what happened, she said that coach Kristin told them to "get off the stage! You guys just threw the competition!" How did they end up throwing the competition when they ended up placing third later that day? There were many, many more instances of abuse at the hands of the coaches. Intimidation, bullying, and degradation is constantly looming over the heads of these athletes. I played college soccer, semi-pro soccer and have done soccer camps for years for some of the nation's top D1 soccer coaches and i have never seen the younger athletes treated as poorly as the way these coaches treat these young girls. Most parents are oblivious to what really goes on at SCV Cheer. Stay away, you'll thank yourself later.

Think twice before enrolling your children at this facility.
There is rampant disrespect for the athletes and their parents.
Body shaming of children as young as 9 seems to be OK with the coaches and the owner. There are no open lines of communication between coaches and parents and when you ask to speak with them they roll their eyes at you and refuse. The coaches are borderline abusive. If you’re ok with your young children being body shamed and retaliated against, then this is the place for you. We stayed at the facility for the love of sport but after months of retaliatory behavior or outright body shaming of a child, we had to leave.
Certain coaches there do not know how to treat or encourage a child, they use threats and hurtful words against young children. The owner will side with her coaches regardless of anything and will refuse to even attempt to correct the situation
