Great gym, just wish they had a belay wall, but for their space it's very well used. Staff is friendly and helpful, and their gym section is decent. Routes are hard which is great!

Small gym but nice boulders. Definitely the best in LA in my opinion. New style boulders are available, the gym is clean, problems are not finishing just with a simple jug, route setting very various and interesting. On top of this even if the gym is small there is a moonboard 2024, a small workout place but complete enough to do any type of workout to complement and there is an endurance training treadwall.
Also great feeling, nice people and good atmosphere.

I broke my ankle here after taking an intro class.
I think my ankle break could have been preventable, if the instructor:
- Spent at least 5 minutes in the hour long class reviewing how to fall
- Stressed the importance of learning how to fall
- (might be a no brainer but) Assured students they should call for help if theyβre having a hard time crawling down
- Had students practice falling. It was not intuitive for me as a beginner to be told to fall and tuck
Saw another review where someone else also broke their ankle and the review echoed my concerns. I hope the staff here steps their safety precautions game up. Not everyone who comes to your gym will be experienced.
Last thing I wanted to add was that their manager did reach out to me about my fall. Posting about my experience here to provide transparency to other beginners.

Sender One has been one of my 10 year old sonβs favorite places in all of LA. I drive him all the way from Santa Monica in rush hour traffic just so get him to his bouldering classes at this specific location. All the staff are 5βοΈ. They are always upbeat, warm, and engaging. Many stand out, but I have to give a shout out specifically to Seth who has been a great mentor / teacher for my son. Thanks, Seth, for all that you do!!!

Was visiting in town and wanted to bring my friend for her first time bouldering. Half the gym was blocked off for course setting and they still charged us full rate. 70$ to use only half the gym, was pretty disappointed.

My kid has done free climb and camp here and they love it! The staff is friendly and give very clear instructions. The facility always seems very clean and bright. When doing camp , my child raved about the climbing Olympics at the end, which made for fun and healthy competition.

I climbed here this morning and was disappointed by my experience. I was projecting a climb on the overhang behind the front desk and while I was doing so, a white male coach with longer brown hair approached me and said I couldnβt continue climbing there because he and his kids were going to play games on the pads. I asked him if he could play games somewhere where people werenβt climbing, but he refused. As a former youth coach, I understand trying to put the kids first, but this is a CLIMBING gym. I would never have asked someone to climb somewhere else so we can mess around on the pads. If the kids want to play games instead of climb then so be it, but it shouldnβt be at the expense of members who are paying to climb there.

We had a great experience at Sender One! My son loves to climb, and as absolute beginners, we thought it would be great place for him to start at an indoor gym that has kid friendly climbs.
We were greeted with a friendly staff and an introduction to climbing that focused on safety and how best to approach as true beginners. We look forward to climbing some more in the near future!

Smaller place that only does bouldering. They have some cool features including a treadmill wall and a small fitness area. The walls have integrated lights which is super neat. They have a great first visit deal that is $15 including shoes. They also validate for an hour of parking in the structure nearby.

A small-ish bouldering gym, everything is very new and clean. Very friendly staff and reasonably price entry. The routes set are interesting with a decently sized area with weights and machines for training and cardio. They also have a climbing treadmill which is very cool.

Really enjoy having a local climbing gym. Generally feel that the routes are interesting, varied, and rotated out frequently enough that we are kept interested week to week as members. The facilities are also quite nice! Appreciate that there is a small gym. My and my husbandβs chief complaint is that their hours are not well formulated, particularly on the weekends. We have consistently wished that we could come in early (before 10am β not really that early) or stay late on the weekends. Instead, later hours are only offered on weekdays. Our previous gym was the opposite; they were open earlier and longer on the weekends. We really miss having this flexibility!

Sender One at Runway in Playa Vista is a brand new bouldering/climbing gym! The rocks for each level of climbs are colored so you have suggestions for staying on course. They do a reduced price climb night a few times a month and a LGQBT night as well as other ongoing events. They offer kids hours for little ones and have a really fun tread wall! This gym is bouldering only so no ropes but if youβre looking for that, they also have a climbing gym in El Segundo with the ropes!
You can park in the runway parking structure for a few bucks or on the surrounding streets!

Awesome gym, small but filled with fun bouldering routes. I go before 4 on weekdays and it's nice and un-crowded. Overhang-heavy. I hope they add more slab and fix the sinks :)

I took my son here for his birthday. They have a promotion where first-timers get a free visit so we didn't even have to pay. We went super early during the week so there wasn't anybody there but the place was clean the staff was friendly, and knowledgeable. That said I'll probably only go here again if I'm in the area because the other location that I've been to has harness and cables that they'll attach to you for fall protection, and this one doesn't.

Can not in good conscious recommend this gym as safety training for their staff seemed nonexistent. I fractured my ankle at this facility because there was no down-climb option next to a crimpy climb. The staff did not take it seriously, despite me being on pain and unable to walk, only saying "well if we get you ice we have to file an incident report" until I insisted on it. I called twice to cancel my membership, and the second time someone said that it would be cancelled because they were sorry for the inconvenience. Instead, I have been continually billed.
Small gym, facilities are definitely not worth that experience.

They should allow non-vaccinated people as well. Itβs almost like a segregation that is happening.
I have been wanting to try it but they wonβt accept a negative test.
I think theyβre doing it for the βhealth and safetyβ of everyone, but to be honest, itβs not very nice to exclude people away

Tiny gym and low walls. The routes are high quality, especially routes marked with a Star. Restrooms are clean and staff is friendly to help out if you get stuck on a route.
If you come here with the right expectations, you'll have a blast. Lots of restaurants and Whole Foods nearby too.

We had a good time visiting this bouldering gym on vacation. It is fairly small but has a nice range of terrain and grades. Training-wise they have a Moonboard with wood holds and a small campus and weights setup, but no hangboards that I saw. Props to the setters -- some fun and interesting climbs here!
