Shred 27 has totally changed my life I've been working out most of my adult life, but I've never tried HIIT before. These classes are 30 minutes, but they're still an intense workout. I've also started doing strength training this month, and it's added another level of challenge. Margie is a great instructor, always makes sure we're doing everything correctly, whether it's a HIIT class or a strength training session. I can't wait to go to work out every day!!

I became a Shred27 member on the first day they opened on July 1, 2019. What drew me to the facility was the warm welcome I initially received by the owners, the appeal of the tumble track flooring, and the 27 minute HIIT concept. The bonuses that came along the years were the friendships I have made and the community/family spirit that Shred27 embodies. The Coaches know how to push and encourage us to step outside of our comfort zone and test our bodies' limits to achieve success in cardiovascular fitness, strength, determination, and personal growth. We are coached by the entire staff not only on strength and endurance, but health and nutrition, and the mind-body connection. Our highly qualified, well-trained Coaches provide knowledge, motivation, and are form-focused, so that we can exercise and achieve our goals as safely as possible. At Shred27, I like that the classes are a mix of ages and fitness levels, where everyone feels comfortable. I'm intimidated by group classes due to a toe injury, which limits many typical HIIT movements; however, here the coaches can modify exercises for my injury easily. 27 minutes is the perfect amount of time; work hard and get it done quickly. The studio is spotless, and the floating floor helps protect the joints. The best part about Shred27 is that the exercises are well thought out, and safety is the top priority. At other gyms, I was getting hurt often, and I had a standing weekly chiropractor appointment. Here, I see progress, but without the injuries. The timing of classes is also great; I can attend before or after work, and they offer Saturday classes on weekends when I'm not at the field with my kids. I tested quite a few gyms in the area before I landed at Shred27, and in my opinion, it is the best around.

I am new to Shred27 and new to working out anywhere. However, after just 3 visits I am totally impressed with the sense of family, community and commitment to the members. I have been having personal training sessions with Margie who is an expert at knowing her clients needs and limitations. I joined Shred 27 at the end of November 2024 and can't say enough about how wonderful this gym is, especially the head trainer, Coach Margie. The gym itself is organized, very clean, and a welcoming place. However, the best part about Shred 27 is that I have achieved real results by working with Coach Margie. When I first joined, I did a DEXA scan through UC Davis Sports Medicine and at that time I was 148.9 pounds and 29.3% body fat. This gave me my baseline and from there I did small group strength training twice a week. Over the past few months, I have become stronger and leaner. I decided to go back to UC Davis this week for another DEXA scan to check in on my progress and was really amazed. At the scan I weighed 138.6 pounds and my body fat dropped to 21.6%. It is incredible to think that in a little over 2 months I've lost 10 pounds and decreased my body fat by 7.7%. I could not have done it without Coach Margie's guidance and support. She is knowledgeable, motivating and she knows how to bring the best out of you. At 45 years old, I can honestly say I am in the best shape of my life! I absolutely recommend Shred 27.

I would like to recognize Coach Clarissa , she is amazing and takes time with each one of us during the class , which make it so personal , I love how she goes down and teaches the moves with proper form for optimal results , great and clear guidance will always be present in her classes . My only wish is that she could teach more classes .

Incredibly friendly, encouraging and communicative staff. The workouts are challenging and leave me rightfully sore! I would suggest longer and deeper stretching, 27 min workouts with a true 9 minutes of stretching before and after, making the total workout 45 minutes for example.
Several years ago I had issues with communication, class availability, etc but my recent experiences were quite the opposite! Overall very happy with Shred and would recommend others to join!

I was quite surprised by the Shred27 boot camp concept....27 minutes interval training. I have never attended a class like this before and loved it. I was challenged and encouraged. I realize how much I needed to focus on other forms of cross training/strength. The atmosphere and staff are great.

Horrible!! I went in for initial orientation and signed up for services. Was not able to attend to finding out I was pregnant so I canceled. NEVER WENT TO A CLASS. NEVER SIGNED UP FOR A CLASS... almost a year later I get charged membership of $119. Emailed the owner no response, front desk said there wasn't even a record on file for my account. I have been calling for 2 weeks straight multiple times a day and no one EVER picks up the phone. Now I have to drive from San Jose to hope they are open to talk to someone SMH

This place has been great so far! Really enjoying the different workouts, it definitely keeps me motivated. I am super sore after my first couple of workouts which I never normally felt working out on my own at big chain gyms. Absolutely feeling like I made the right decision going here. My only suggestion would be possibly having more classes open on saturdays or even a couple of early classes on sundays. Definitely liking this place so far.

I started Shred a couple of months ago and am loving it! After 8 years at another studio, this was exactly the change my body needed. Shred is a quick 30 minute HIIT workout but it is not an easy workout, itβs always challenging every part of your body. From the cardio aspect to TRX to body weight to weights, to so much more! the template is always changing and challenging. If you are hooked up to the Bluetooth heart rate monitor you will be able to see your results as you go as well as receive your summary after class. I burn 300+ calories in 30 min and am continuing to burn after. I highly recommend this workout if you are looking for results!

Sure wish someone would answer the phone. They are very difficult to reach. I went into the gym a week and a half ago, filled out the form to drop a trial membership and was told by the trainer on duty βno problem, I will take care of this and you will not be chargedβ. Today I saw a charge on my bank account, so I tried to reach them by phone. Phone hours are very specific so I made sure si called within the specified hours. After listening to a recorded announcement severs times, I was dropped. So frustrating!

I just finished my first workout after not doing much physically in awhile. I was VERY worried about not being able to keep up, both cardiovascularly and because I have a bad knee and canβt do a lot because of it. The workout was no pressure, go at your own pace, but great about helping you stay motivated to push yourself. Also, helpful with any modifications you may need to make. I am REALLY sore today, but that was expected, looking forward to continuing and starting to see results.π

Shred 27 has been a great place for me to get back in to an exercise routine after a (much too) long hiatus. The facility is clean and staff is friendly. I like that the workouts change daily so you donβt get bored. Itβs easy to fit into your busy day because there are several times available and who doesnβt have time for 27 minutes?

Im giving them 5 stars because they definitely chgd my mind on how i felt from my 1st workout from being negative about them to my second workout. My first time i thought this wasn't quite what I was looking for and was just going to ride it out. Went back to my second workout, I really enjoyed the workout and complimented the trainer. The orientation was 15 minutes long. Short and to the point. The exercises are the same way. 30 min long but you still get the intensity of a longer workout. I've only met one trainer but he's great. I'm sure the others are as well. I'd definitely recommend shred 27!

Im in and out in less than an hour and still have energy to do everything needed in a day. Staff and trainers are professional and welcoming. Prices are reasonable. First let me warn you the ads are misleading. "$20 for 20 classes + bring a friend for 5 additional classes for FREE." The instructions say to mention the friend you are bringing to orientation. I brought 2. When I asked about this at sign up, Jenn told me the additional 5 days would apply to my 2nd month. When I followed up later I was told this only applied if they continued a membership (I'm not sure if they would or not, but I brought them to sign up for their first month). This was never explained to me. I was also told I could not use the Groupon even though the fine print says you may purchase it every 180 days, but no mention of it not being valid for current members. At $70/ month with a restriction of 2 classes per week, I wanted to get more classes in per week and hoped me bringing 2 friends or the purchase of the Groupon would allow for that as advertised. I definitely understand restrictions but if it's not stated, at least do a thorough job explaining at orientation. Unfortunately only working out twice a week at such a high cost did not work for me, so I had to cancel. Even though I consistently went to class each week, I was treated so poorly and with disrespect toward myself and my friend when it came time to cancel. It was extremely off putting and if it weren't for that, I would give a 5 star rating as I had really enjoyed the atmosphere and workout. More than that, they would have a returning client when possible. It seems that if this was a place that really cared about people they could have worked with me more, or at least been polite.
