I had the pleasure of training with Coach Jeric — and oh man, what a ride it’s been! I walked into the gym with liver health concerns, low muscle strength, and even lower confidence. From day one, Jeric understood exactly where I was coming from. He guided me with patience, empathy, and focus — teaching me exercises I would have never tried on my own.

We love our trainer, Mala. She is very knowledgeable and it’s evident every session that she genuinely cares about her clients and her work. She teaches us the technique AND the science behind each exercise. She is communicative, listens, and adjusts to what you tell her. She takes time to consider your injuries and works in real time to adapt the exercise. I've been going to Silicon Valley Athletics for a few weeks now, and I've really been enjoying it. There's a wide variety of equipment here, and the trainers are super knowledgeable. I've been training with Hadji, who does an awesome job at motivating me to new personal bests while still making sure I don't hurt myself. I really appreciate the emphasis on teaching proper form and making sure you learn what you need to so that you can continue training by yourself later even if you stop working with a personal trainer. Plus it's more affordable per session than other personal trainers I've searched for in the area. I would recommend at least trying out the free intro session to see if this is for you!

I trained with Mike for 6 months. He was very knowledgeable and courteous. He is young but well educated in personal training. It is clear that he strives for continuous improvement as a trainer. The use of technology to keep track of my progress was also nice. Rescheduling or canceling the appointments was easy to do through the App.
I also found Silicon Valley Athletics to be reasonably priced. The location was great except the parking situation once in a while.

My high school aged son and I have been training at Silicon Valley Athletics since the beginning and with Toussaint for a couple years. This is my review of Toussaint and the facility.
Toussaint: Excellent trainer with a fun and motivating personality. He always has a workout plan in place that I can see on the gym app way before the workout. Toussaint demonstrates the exercises and provides any feedback necessary on every repitition. My son is developing great form in all the exercises and is continually improving. This is important to me because I want him to learn proper technique from the beginning so he reduces his chance of injuring himself when he lifts weight at school or with his friends. Workouts are challenging and accomplish way more than we would ever be able to do independently. We do a lot of strength training and are continually getting stronger. The app the gym uses tracks all of our metrics (max, past workouts, times). With the metrics, Toussaint wastes no time in getting things set up.
Facility: This facility is top notch. This location was gutted and built from scratch and all equipment has been strategically placed. All the equpment is newer and always working properly. There are plenty of weights, machines, benches, workout stations, etc. There are fresh towels, cups, and a cold water dispenser.
People lose 3-8% of muscle mass per decade after age 30 and even more after age 60. Currently over 50, I have zero plans for that to happen. I will continute to work with Toussaint at SVA and see steady improvements instead.

The real deal. My body composition testing company has worked with SVA consistently for years. I was looking for someone to teach me how to train safely and also in general how to approach fitness strategy to actually build strength. I've had nothing but positive experiences with every person I've encountered at SVA and can't recommend it enough. They were able to analyze my goals, my over/under-active muscles, strengths, weaknesses, to help me develop a strategic workout plan. They pushed me hard and also taught me how to properly rest/de-load.
The price may seem intimidating at first, but it is worth every penny.
Special shoutout to Paul who was my trainer. This guy knows everything about everything to do with weightlifting and training. He also showed me some exercises to help with some running injuries I had (that even my orthopedic doctor wasn't able to help me with). He's also crazy jacked and it's inspiring.

I really like the atmosphere and the positive energy from the trainers. The one-on-one coaching has kept me motivated and consistent with my workouts. Though it's a smaller gym and can feel a bit crowded during the peak hours, it's never overwhelming. It feels a lot more friendly and communal compared to a big chain gym. It's also cool that multiple trainers know my name. I've worked with three of the trainers and I really like my current trainer Yoav. He's upbeat and knowledgable and is quick to adjust the program or provide coaching when something isn't working for my body. Personal training does cost a bit more, but it's nice to not have an added gym membership fee. I feel that it has been worth it for me because this is the most consistent I have ever been with a workout routine and I always come away feeling accomplished.

My Training Experience with Joey at Silicon Valley Athletics!!
My experience training with Joey has been one of the best, most fulfilling experiences of my life. I have been in athletic and training environments since I was in a running school as little girl in China and I must say that Joey is by far the best trainer I have had. It is obvious that he really cares about making you the best you can be. He is so professional, friendly and knowledgeable. So many trainers just go through the motions but not Joey.
Joey knows that success doesn’t happen overnight and I want to thank Joey for supporting me and pushing me when things are challenging. He is with me every step of the way, supporting me and encouraging me in the pursuit of my dream. When I first started training with Joey I was at 24% body fat and I was preparing for my first Figure Show. I had only 3 months to get ready and really no idea about cutting, posing, supplements and muscle gain. Joey to the rescue! From intense early morning training sessions (53 reps on my birthday!) to attending all of the competitions with me. San Jose, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Orlando, Las Vegas, South Carolina and the international show Amateur Olympia in Beijing. Joey makes sure that I am as ready to compete as I can be! Joey is the most motivated and hard working trainer that I know. Starting his day at 4am, taking lunch with his girls and then back to training. Weekends too.
He is highly dedicated and goal oriented. This beautiful new gym is a testament to his hard work and dedication. I am so happy for and proud of Joey. YOU DID IT! All of your hard work paid off.
Your excellent and dedicated trainers on your staff as well as your clients show that we really are a big family. Joey Sparacino offers copious amounts of knowledge whether it be nutritional or programming amazing workouts. Beginners to advanced athletes all can learn from Joey’s training styles. I worked with Toussaint to get ready for a vigorous hike in the Pyrenees mountains of Spain, he did an awesome job getting me ready for the task and I felt so thankful that I was well prepared for this trip when the time came. When I first started going to the gym, I would usually avoid the free weights section as I did not know the proper form for different exercises nor have a program to follow. Miguel was so patient with teaching me how to do different exercises and show me the proper form. I definitely recommend him as a personal trainer!☺️

I currently play NCAA ice hockey at the University of New England and I reach out to trainer Miguel whenever I'm back in the Bay Area for personal training during holidays and breaks. Miguel has been extraordinary in helping holding myself accountable to reach my personal goals and has helped me perform to the best of my capabilities in my sport. He has been extremely helpful and even helped create a workout plan for me to follow whenever I go back to school across the country. Additionally, I suffered a back injury a few years ago when I developed a bulged disc in my spine. Miguel was extremely helpful in giving me the proper exercises and workout plan to aid my back injury, and he has helped my back recover tremendously over our time together.

I had a great experience with Keiller !
When I was in college I did the same workout every time I went to the gym since high school with a goal of strength. I noticed that I was plateauing and couldn’t increase my weight on the exercises I worked frequently.
Keiller helped me create a workout plan with new completely new exercises I had not done before and showed me the proper form.
After switching to his regiment, I noticed a considerable gain in strength and was finally able to increase the weight on the exercises I had previously been stuck on !
I highly recommend anyone to train with Keiller because of his professionalism and knowledge base. He also likes to keep you entertained with his sarcastic jokes.

Keiller is a wonderful trainer! He's a mobility master and is extremely knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about what he does. He helped me fix my squat and deadlift form and motivated me to lift heavier than I ever thought I could. I was even able to do pistol squats for the first time in my life! Living in a big city is pretty easy to just become a number when you go to the gym. Hiring a personal trainer was a good first step and hiring this particular personal trainer was the best thing I could have done. I ran across Joey years ago and have always wondered how he does it. Well.... I've been exercising a lot of years with not the best results. His training course provided just the structure that I needed to get better results than I was getting. I highly recommend this trainer. I was 333 bow sitting at a whopping 313. Goal 285LBS! THANKS AGAIN
