Smart Move Functional Fitness offers personalized training programs to help clients achieve their health and wellness goals. A clinical exercise physiologist with a Masters in Exercise Science leads online programming, creating safe and effective exercise plans for various needs, from injury rehabilitation to athletic performance improvement.
Services offered are currently Online training, In-Person Private Home call training, or at customers personal gym (terms apply).

I started with Zack when it was becoming extremely difficult to climb gym seats to watch my grandddauther play volleyball, pull myself out of my spa and pool, or maintain a proper posture. I wasn't sure he'd want to work with me, as I have a fractured back, two artifical knees, a "screwed together" foot, and an abdominal hernia. He has been great, pushing me, but always concious to make sure none of my preexisting conditions are agitated. This volleyball season I handled climbing the stands as good, or better, as any of the grandparents. Since I started I developed a shoulder issue, and Zack has been able to fully implement my Kaiser Physical Therapist exercise plan. I'm sure Zack would be great with a younger person with different goals, but I know he's great with those of us long past trying for a "beach body."

I recommend Zack without reservation! He is thoughtful, attentive, and personable. His deep knowledge of kinesiology and close observations mean that my time and money are well spent. He relates well to people of all ages, and is careful to address each clients’ idiosyncratic needs. As an older adult, I am better off for the time I spend with him (endurance, flexibility, strength, and balance). My quality of life is better thanks to my trainer, Zack!

Zack is exceptionally competent and friendly. He teaches as he trains so you know why youre doing a certain exercise and how you might recreate it at home if need be. There have been many instances I've witnessed other trainers coming to him for his expertise.

As someone that has a fairly active background, higher education, and a knowledge of the human physiology, I’m still impressed every session I have with Zack. He is so knowledgeable and flexible with the plan. Any imbalances I started with, Zack quickly had a solution. His expertise is only surpassed by his joyful demeanor and generally pleasant personality. I feel challenged and supported simultaneously. He has encouraged me to push my body but to remain attuned to the needs of my body. With this approach, I feel my well-being has significantly improved. But don’t just take my word for it, go see him and find out. You’ll notice he’s the right guy for the job during your first session!

Zack is an incredible trainer who I've had the privilege of working with for the past two years. He helped me prepare for, and crush, an Ironman triathlon. During the training process, I fell off my bike, and he was able to use his training to rehabilitate my shoulder to full mobility.
I have since referred numerous friends and family (of all ages and abilities), all of whom have had positive experiences. I recommend Zack without reservation to anyone looking to get in better shape, rehab from an injury, or, like me, seek to be more functionally fit through life. He is the best!
