I LOVE Soho Yoga! I've attended over 300 classes since 2019 and according to some rando math classes I took in college, this review is statistically significant! __ :) __ Okay, seriously. Yin, heated power flow, Nidra, unheated flow, and more. This studio has it. But perhaps more importantly, the teachers and staff that work there are exceptional. The guidance is spot on, the energy, sense of community, and atmosphere are without peer. This lovely space has encouraged me to take better care of my mind and body and I will forever be grateful for this

My experience at Soho Yoga was deeply disappointing and unsettling, primarily due to the behavior of the owner, Peter. From the moment I interacted with him, it was clear that his demeanor was far from welcoming. He came across as rude, condescending, and even racist, which completely undermines the values of compassion and inclusivity that a yoga studio should uphold.

What was particularly disturbing was how Peter treated some of the Asian yogis at the studio. He made baseless accusations, suggesting they had COVID-19 despite knowing they had tested negative. This was not only hurtful and discriminatory but also entirely inappropriate in a space meant for mindfulness and well-being. His inability to treat everyone with respect and fairness was deeply troubling.

To add insult to injury, Peter frequently called people by the wrong names, which only highlighted his lack of attention and care for his students. In a community that should be built on compassion, love, and understanding, his actions were not only hypocritical but also deeply alienating.

It’s disheartening to see someone in a leadership role preach one thing while practicing another. Yoga is supposed to be a sanctuary for connection, growth, and self-care, but under Peter’s ownership, it felt more like a place of discomfort and division. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Soho Yoga to anyone who values a respectful, inclusive, and genuinely compassionate environment.

If you’re looking for the ultimate stress reliever and reset Ashley’s class is it. From the moment I stepped into the warm, welcoming studio, I felt the tension begin to melt away. The heat, combined with Ashley’s perfectly curated flow, creates a space where you can let go of everything else and just breathe.

Ashley is an exceptional teacher. She brings the perfect balance of energy and ease to each session motivating when needed, grounding when it counts. Her cues are clear, her adjustments are thoughtful and an esenntial to my weekly routine. You can tell she truly cares about her students and wants everyone to leave feeling better than when they arrived.

Every class feels like a reset button for my mind and body. Whether I come in feeling anxious, sore or just drained, I always walk out feeling lighter, clearer, and completely rejuvenated. This class is a non-negotiable part of my week.

Highly recommend to anyone looking to reduce stress and be guided by an amazing teacher who knows how to hold space and elevate your practice. Thank you, Ashley!!

If you are reading this, you are sooooooo lucky!! And, I kinda hate you (just kidding, of course - but I will explain later). 2024, brought me the great fortune of practicing yoga (and other stuff) at SoHo. For my entire life I thought I didn't like yoga - it just never seemed like it could be fun - boy was I wrong! My personality type was always drawn to classes a little more wild, with pizzazz. But, truth is, I never actually tried yoga. I just assumed it would be too hard on the wrists and shoulders (I have a humpty-dumpty shoulder), and it seemed a little too somber/peaceful for me. On my birthday in late 2023 I wanted to do something "scary", so I tried a hot yoga class at SoHo. IT FELT AMAZING!!!! So I went back for another class, this time upstairs in the smaller, regular studio - and I was hooked!!!! I spent the first couple of weeks, trying different classes with different teachers, each time feeling like I found another "winner" class and teacher. I never took a class/had a teacher I didn't like, and I really wish I had found this place when I first moved to the area in 2019. During my time at SoHo I never felt better, seriously, never. Something about the movements completely woke my body up, every muscle responding positively. Oh, and I never took a class that was somber - every single one had energetic, perfectly selected music pulsing through the multiple speakers, enhanced by the moody lighting, changing during the course of the class to allow for a slow warm-up, kick-ass work-out, then that much-appreciated peaceful cool down. So again, if you are reading this, just go - try out a few classes - don't over analyze - this place is amazing!!!!! Something for everyone - except for me, because I moved away, and that's why I hate you. I'm actually really jealous. I've been trying to find a replacement, and nothing comes even close - nothing. Have fun!!!!!!!

So! The Sweat n Sculpt 50 min with Mairin McCracken RYT! Fun! Professional! Inspired!

Made the mistake of not getting a towel thinking it was more sculpt than sweat. It’s 98 degrees easy.

First class is only $15, even for out-of-towners like myself. Definitely will be going back!

I loved this place until I had a medical issue with my pregnancy come up. I had purchased a 10-pack of classes before I found out I was pregnant. I had almost the entire package left before I found out I was pregnant and my doctor told me to avoid yoga unless it was specifically prenatal yoga. They do not offer these classes here. I emailed and called the manager, asking if they could make the exception to transfer my remaining classes I had paid for to my husband...especially because were trying to move out of Hermosa. They said "no." Needless to say, I am still out over $100...

It’s a very special place in South Bay. Superb yoga studio, set up and taught by people with genuine passion and love for yoga practice.
All - instructors, front desk team, as well as members are a joy to interact with. There is an abundance of different types of yoga classes, hot and non-heated, as well as workshops and at the beach.
The studio is high end. It’s a business but you can tell that the owners do not save on quality and provide members with all that might be needed - be it props, mats, or premium toiletries.
But for most part, I love the atmosphere there, the vibe, people and attention given into every detail to make this such a special space - kind of home away from home. Highly recommended!

The manager stole my sunglasses. Confirmed it with the employees that's said they saw them in lost and found but when they checked they weren't there. Then was told the manager grabbed them. He denies it though. I tell all my friends, coworkers, family, and
people I don't even know not to go there. Those were $200 sunglasses

If you are thinking about trying Soho Yoga the 30 days for 30 dollars..... this is your sign!!!! DO IT! I am new to yoga, I took this challenge and completed 27 classes. Completely out of my comfort zone. I took a chance and listened to my intuition and I am so stoked I did!!!! Just signed up for the 6 month unlimited and honestly I look at it as an investment to my mental, physical and emotional health and well-being! Thank you to all of the wonderful staff and teachers for doing what you do. This is now my little paradise away from it all. Thank you and please never leave!!!!

I've been at Soho Yoga (HB) since October 2019 and I can't recommend this studio enough! Extremely clean, very accommodating schedule with a vast variety of class types, and the staff is incredible! I've taken almost every time of class with almost every instructor and the differences make it that much more fulfilling & enjoyable.

I am a regular who tries to practice two hours a day. Soho Yoga gives classes that have helped me deepen my practice and have made me stronger. Classes are geared towards vinyasa so they are flow-oriented but some will also hold your pose for a few breaths. Most teachers will work towards a peak pose near the end but there are some who mix the “peaks” throughout the class (e.g Amanda Murphy will make you do a crow at least four times in a one hour class and once in a while will challenge you to hold one of them for thirty seconds). All classes are mixed level but a strenuous workshop regardless. Besides strength, classes will also work on your balance and flexibility but not as much as strength.

Just walking into SoHo Yoga I felt a peaceful presence and was taken aback by the positive energy in the space ! I was only there doing some work but I left feeling calm and peaceful ...they should have given me a bill instead of me giving them one !

first time here while visiting the area. this was exactly what I needed and the place itself has got it all!

The studio is clean and equipped with everything you need for a great experience— eucalyptus towels for after class, a full bathroom (kinda small but has everything you need), the room where the class was was amazing too!

The class itself (power flow) was INCREDIBLE. Tatiana was real, fun, strong and the definition of badass. Everything about her words and practice was wonderful. Also, I loved her music. She definitely creates a community and the regulars seemed to know, love and support each-other which is major. I am so very grateful for this experience. 👍🏼👌🏼

I love love love this place! Not only is it such a welcoming place, but it encouraged me to embrace yoga, which honestly I never thought I would *covers eyes*. After having knee surgery and having to back off of running I started to try yoga, eventually stumbling into this magical place. Immediately walking in I felt so welcome and became ADDICTED. They offer both heated and non-heated, with a wide array of classes that go for really physically demanding to slower foundation based classes. A little something for everyone.

Seriously though, try this place out. Especially if you're a doubter, like I once was. Thank you SoHo!

Instructors are excellent and very welcoming towards all levels of yoga skills. They offer regular and hot yoga with different variations within each of those categories. The hot yoga is always downstairs and regular upstairs. If you're new to yoga and tend to sweat, it is highly recommended that you buy/rent/borrow a towel. Sliding around on your mat can be very frustrating and shouting profanities during poses is frowned upon. At least to my knowledge.
