Was really looking forward to trying this class. Had seen her sign for a while. Was disappointed to get a class cancel notification within an hour of class time for an 8am class.

I love the Solates class! I always leave feeing rejuvenated in both body and soul! Samantha the owner is very patient and informative throughout the class. She takes the time to show you how to something if you’re unsure she also makes you like family. Can’t recommend the classes enough!

I’m newly into pilates and absolutely love Solates! The classes feel almost private because of the small class sizes and Sam is so welcoming. I’ve struggled with back pain for years and Sam is so attentive to how my back is doing and since starting her classes, my back has gotten so much better!! Solates has quickly become an integral part of my health and wellness ♥️

The studio is beautiful design-wise. Makes me happy to just walk in. The classes are challenging (solid workout), but also you leave feeling relaxed and invigorated. Samantha is probably the best Pilates instructor I have taken classes with (amazing pacing, instructions, and variety or exercises). She is also a lovely human being-warm, funny, friendly and very charismatic!

I absolutely love this place and here’s a list of reasons why in no particular order!
1. All of the workouts are customizable so I was able to start small and work my way up to harder challenges.
2. The class sizes are so small. Literally maxes out at 7 people so it always feels like a private session.
3. The playlists and sound bowls make me feel like I’m doing what’s healthy for my mind and spirit too. (Omg the most LA thing I’ve ever said).
4. Anna makes it so clear when i should be inhaling and exhaling. It is so helpful! Breath is important and helpful!
5. Samantha’s whole intent with her business is very clear: TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF. Not “time to get skinny, ya fatty!!” Like I feel at other studios/gyms. Turns out it’s possible to workout and get healthy without self hatred being the motivator! Who knew?!

Solates is hands down the best Pilates experience I've had in my 10+ years of practicing. For the last couple years I've had SI joint pain and piriformis syndrome and have needed to get regular PT and chiropractic adjustments to alleviate some of the pain. In only two weeks of regular practice at Solates By Samantha, I'm 95% pain free, and for the first time ever, I notice a decrease and toning in my post-menopausal mid-belly pooch! With only 7 (brand new!) reformers, Samantha is able to pay attention to the clients' form, gently correcting when needed, and lead a deceivingly focused and body challenging class, followed up by a magical sound bath. Taking a class at Solates is like a mini getaway to a first class mind-body retreat, available daily right here in Los Feliz!

I’ve been to over 15 Pilates studios in LA and this is my favorite! The space is beautiful. Small classes guaranteed (max 6) so you get great individual attention. The class was challenging yet safe. I felt so much better after class than when I came in. Samantha is a great teacher, very calm yet motivating with great attention to breath work. I can’t wait to come back! :)

Solates is a true gem in LA. Samantha is an incredible instructor (and just an incredible person overall) and her clear instructions, attentiveness to your form, and making sure you're getting everything you want out of your work out really makes this studio stand out. The unique addition of the sound bath is a major plus and truly makes every class such a wonderful experience and makes you want to come back. Really wish we had this on the East Coast!

Samantha has created an oasis in the midst of Los Feliz. The space is beautiful and her unique mix of sound and reformer Pilates is soothing for the soul while working the body. I feel amazing every time I walk out of the studio. A very welcome addition to the East side.
