Ive been here twice for the slow flow class on Tuesday morning and both times it wasnβt that slow. It was hard for me to keep up with the verbal instructions as well. I had to look around the room a lot to see what other people were doing to get into the correct shapes. I had a lot of fun though, lots of balancing poses that feel like play, especially if you lose your balance! I really like the studio space, not too crowded. I wish the teacher took time to do body adjustments. Iβm having trouble finding a studio/teacher in Sac that does adjustments during a class which kind of defeats the purpose of spending money to go to a professional class for meβ¦ I can just do yoga at home on YouTube for a similar experience.

I haven't been to Solfire Yoga since Covid. When my friend invited me to join her on Sunday community class, I took it as a sign to get back to yoga. If you haven't been to Solfire Yoga, it is a nice yoga studio on J and 26th St. with one large ish room. There are cubbies to put your personal items in the front and in the back. If you don't have a yoga mat or forget to bring one, they do have extras for you to borrow.
I believe every Sunday they offer this 60 minutes Power Vinyasa class in the heated room using infrared heaters. This is a community offering, which means you pay what you can. The room was packed and I was literally touching the person next to me. The instructor was great. I think her name was Julie? Her instructions was clear and the pace was perfect for me. I don't consider myself a yogi. I know the basics and I was able to follow through without a problem. I think its suitable for beginners. At the end of the class, I was drenched, covered in sweats and felt so good!
5 stars for the instructors, facility and the community offering, but I have to say I will probably not take the same class again. It was way too packed for me, like sardine packed. Also, as soon as I entered the room, there was a strong BO and the smell lingered throughout the entire class. I almost wanted to vomit at one point. I know this has nothing to do with the establishment. I'm mentioning it because I'm hoping people can be more considerate about their hygiene. It just took away what could have been the best yoga class for me.

i donβt know if maybe i just had a bad experience but i felt extremely judged in my class and the environment was not great. i didnβt really feel welcome there. the actual class itself was pretty good but also i didnβt feel like i had a lot of time to drink water and rest and it felt very advanced despite being all skill levels. also, the bathrooms were really unfinished and overall not great. i was considering getting a membership here but iβm not sure after this. again maybe i just came on an off day?

I absolutely loved my first class with soulfire. I used to practice hot yoga regularly before covid and kids. I moved 20 minutes away from downtown so i have been attempting to find yoga closer to me without success. All the other studios i tried focused so heavily on working out and neglected the spiritual flow of yoga. I decided to make the drive and try soul fire and i left so revitalized and energized. It was incredible. It is a true yoga studio. I not only sweat more than any other class j tried before but i felt connected with my body, i felt strong and I loved every part of it. I will definitely be back!

Love, love, love this studio. I love how every teacher is just a little different and challenging in their own way. Some of my favorite teachers include Emily R, Melissa S, and Sam C--but I haven't had a teacher I don't enjoy. Would recommend to anyone looking for yoga for the soul/spiritual journey and/or for fitness. Thank you Blake for creating such a beautiful space!

Iβve been attending classes at Solfire Yoga for over a year and can highly recommend it. Mostly Iβve taken the noon All Levels classes. These classes are heated & you should be prepared to sweat. All of the instructors Iβve had, including the subs, are consistently good. I always leave feeling that I just did something very good for myself, on all levels. I also have been a huge fan of the Sunday afternoon Slow Flow & Yin classes with Cate Lewis--the perfect way to wrap up the weekend and treat yourself to a little TLC. Shout out to the entire staff who are always friendly and welcoming. I felt right at home from the start.

Let me just start this off by saying that as someone that had wanted to try yoga for a long time but felt uncomfortable trying something new out of fear I couldn't of found a better place to practice it. All the instructors and staff here are great and very welcoming and always happy to answer any questions you might have especially Donna at the front desk.
As for the instructors themselves they are bring their own energy to their classes. So you want to try them all out if you have the time and find the instructors who meet your needs. Personally I enjoy Jesse classes the most finding them both challenging while still very accessible to a beginner like myself. There is others like Alex and Blake who both have classes I enjoy as well. Even if you can't keep up the entire class you are never made to feel bad about it and are encouraged to rest when you truly need to.
The prices for the unlimited classes a month too is awesome and if I had to give one piece of advice is drink lots of water before class cause they don't call it hot yoga for nothing.

Got a 4 class sessions for $50, attended the first class today. I have never done yoga before but the instructor kept a good pace for newbies to keep up and good a workout in. Was really relaxing and really allowed my body to feel stretched and relaxed all at the same time. 10/10 first experience!

Nice yoga studio with some good instructors, but classes are way too big... I wish they would cap the classes. Today's class had about 60 people squished in like sardines and the class was not enjoyable and very uncomfortable. I also wish they had more classes throughout the afternoon - seems like there is just 1 class being offered at noon and not another till 4:30.

So incredibly happy to have found this studio. Caring, insightful and fun with varying degrees of difficulties depending on instructor and class.
Definitely plenty of hot, hardcore vinyasa which is my cup of tea.
A wonderful community I am glad to have been a part of.
Namaste !

Solfire Yoga is a great space in a historic district in Sacramento. I ordinarily do not take heated yoga due to my lower than average blood pressure. However l took a heated all levels vinyasa class with Helen and she was great. I would recommend this Yoga studio for a great workout and great vibe. If you get there early enough there is free parking in the back of the studio.

The staff is friendly, studio is clean, and the owner is incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating. I did my research and decided this studio was one i wanted to join. I have asthma, and typically hotter yoga classes are tough for me. I explained my situation to the owner and she allowed me to try a couple classes to see how it went. The class was so incredible. Joining this studio and would recommend to anyone. ππΌ

Friendly staff and calm environment. The showers, cubbies and dressing rooms are well kept. I love that they have a hydration station and you can rent a mat for $5 if you forget yours (first time its free!). I also really enjoy the fact that they provide yoga blocks if you need them at no additional cost. I absolutely love this place! π

This is my favorite local yoga studio. The environment is very chill, grounded and the instructors are supportive. There are other yoga studios in Midtown that feel pretentious, cult-y...this is not one of those studios. I love this place.
For more rigorous classes, choose these instructors: Blake, Jany, Rachel, Janna, Evey and Stephanie.
For more strength building, choose these instructors: Jamie, Taylor, Ellen and Amanda.
Every instructor is unique...some classes I will burn 300 calories, others I only burn 150. Keep that in mind...every class is different, week to week!
I love this place so much.

I like the fact your community offers classes like Kundalini Yoga, Yin, and Nidra. I find those classes more difficult to access in other studios in Sacramento. These classes offer great variety for people who get stuck in energy patterns and who are overly structured. I also like that your studio has a private meditation room with bowls and oracle cards. I do not know of any other studio that has that. The quotes that you leave on our shoes are also a great idea because it is an opportunity for people to leave the class with the sense of accomplishment and good luck. The Karma yoga (selfless service volunteering) is also a great system for people who are willing and capable to contribute to the community with the best of their abilities. All in all, solfire yoga is a great place to practice yogic techniques and are open to people who face difficulties with life.

The restorative classes are the best I've experienced! Teachers are calming and kind, and I always leave feeling a sense of peace and very, very relaxed. The studio is very welcoming but it is a bit on the warmer side.
My favorite class and teacher is Vin on Tuesday evenings. Blake not only adds knowledge and instruction but soulfulness and laughter to his classes. I'm hooked!

I love everything about Solfire. I try not to go during the busy times to have room to spread out a bit, but even then the busy classes are still fun. I like the variety of teachers, music, and postures we practice in class. I just started going back after a lot of time off due to spinal arthritis, and am excited to get back into it.

Itβs wonderful. The staff, teachers, and classes are awesome. I had never done yoga in a guided class before. So, naturally, I was nervous. I didnβt think Iβd literally be able to handle the heat (of their Vinyasa classes) or keep up with the double zeros. They make you feel comfortable. They also challenge you but reiterate that itβs about going at your own pace. I was initially wary too since I have a permanent hip injury. The teachers are more than happy to provide modifications if need be. I like that they practice what they preach. If youβre wary, like I was, start with their $30 for 30 days (keep in mind itβs consecutive). They have lots of classes to choose from, hot and regular. I am no longer wary and now an unlimited monthly member! Not only will you make Yoga practice a part of your daily routine but also your lifestyle. Granted, itβs an expensive hobby but itβs definitely worth it for your mental and physical health. There are few things in life that give you what you truly need; a healthy body (and heart) and happy mind. And Iβd recommend Solfire yoga as one of the few.

I love everything about Solfire- the space, the art, the people, the classes, the workshops, the merchandise, and the discounts for teachers and public servants. I also like that they offer different types of classes in the Harmony studio. I first visited Solfire to check out a Kundalini class and was intrigued by the cool vibe in the main studio. I never thought I would practice hot yoga again, but now Iβm hooked. I especially love 60 minute classes.
