If you like Lagree, this place is it!

My whole body was shaking and the exercises are not easy. But after the workout, I really liked it.

Bring: water, towel, grip socks

Downside: they don’t have a real person you can speak to if you’re calling. There is only automated person who can’t help you if you have anything besides what’s the address and where to park. Also, no one is at the front door if it’s before you class and you have questions and concerns about parking, class, etc. I couldn’t even open the door with the code to go in. I think the key you open it 15 min before class and that’s when you can ask a real person questions.

I really like lagree because of the low impact, strength training that builds muscle.

Usually I do circuit training but this is so different and I love the workout. When we do glutes, I really feel it in my glutes. Usually I don’t when I do squats or lunges. My glutes have been sore for 1 week after the class.

Highly suggest doing Starter50 or Foundation50 if you haven’t or don’t know how to do the moves on the lagree machine. Do like 5 classes, even the instructor suggested it because in the regular class, the instructor doesn’t come down on the machine and correct your posture at all and it is very fast pace.

I did the Starter50 class and it was the pace where I didn’t know my form and she was correcting it and lets you know each exercise and corrects everyone. The class still makes you work out and I was sweating and shaking.

Lagree machines are clean because at the end of the class, they give disinfectant wipes to wipe down the machine.

There isn’t a good place to put your stuff besides inside the machine on the floor that has space to put your shoes/sandals, water bottle, and purse. It’s not big so don’t bring too much stuff.

The ambiance is very nice and dark with blue lighting. Very cool.

Go early to get the best lagree machine. So you can see the instructor.

Parking: there is underground parking on Fair Oaks Ave that is they validate for free for 90 min. If the FRONT parking is blocked, drive around to the back of the building that has a weird curvy small road (right cross street of Leonard J Pieroni St) and there is another entrance to the underground garage. If there is an event, and to the parking person said you’ll have to pay, you don’t. The studio gives you a validation to park at the curvy road at the back ground parking. HOWEVER, be sure to park at the front or behind the building. DON’T PARK AT THE PARKING LOT ACROSS THE STREET. THEY DON’T VALIDATE PARKING AT THE ACROSS THE STEEET PARKING LOT.

It is tough. It is slow. It allows for curation. It works core muscle groups with deep breathing in an interactive workout which strengthens and empowers.

Great studio, clean, easy parking and the Coaches have all been great and bring high energy to every class. Solidcore is more challenging than I thought it would be. Overall it’s been a humbling experience.

Love love love this studio! All of the instructors here are so great but special shout-out to my regulars Breayre and Maya! They push you here in a good way and I feel sooo much stronger 21 classes in. I'm gonna be so sad when I have to leave Cali in a few months but highly recommended workout spot! ❤️

Love this studio! Parking is easy and validated, classes are easy to book and not too full to book last minute, I’ve liked every instructor and as someone who’s done Pilates for a while, this studio is very challenging in a good way. Great for anyone looking to get in shape with Pilates

Went to 1 class had an OK experience. Booked my second class hoping it would be better after I got more used to the reformer and I just missed the cancellation window by an hour. Called the studio, no dice. Left voicemails, no reply. I even emailed them and no response. Months later they finally called me back and at that point it’s too late.

They did offer me a refund and a free class but it’s still outrageous. If I can’t reliably call the studio and talk to someone, I’m not going to be giving you my business, ever. Horrible experience would never recommend.

Unfortunately, I had a poor experience with Anthony's class. I booked this via ClassPass and read through every single detail; it mentioned that this class was suited for "all levels." Although I've done reformer classes in the past, it was my first SolidCore class and their machines are more "advanced." Anthony didn't do a great job making a SolidCore first-timer feel comfortable. I've taken pilates workout classes plenty of times and also through ClassPlass, and never have I felt uncomfortable.

You can tell he seemed irked at the fact that this was my first ever SolidCore class at an intermediate/advanced level course (which I definitely understand, although ClassPass mentioned this was good for all levels, thus, me signing up to begin with). It's one thing to be irked, however, he kept calling me out when I did something incorrectly (and it wasn't in a subtle or encouraging, uplifting way); he specifically addressed my name, directly into the microphone EVERY SINGLE TIME I did a form or position incorrectly throughout the ENTIRE class duration. I typically wouldn't care but because he announced my name every single time into the mic, it was uncomfortable - and I would imagine even for someone who has done advanced SolidCore classes as well.

Yes, he did give some encouraging "good jobs" and "you've got this," but you can tell it was very passive. I completely understand sometimes instructors can have an off day, however, unfortunately it was just such a negative experience. As a fitness instructor, I would imagine it's the baseline to foster an encouraging and welcoming fitness environment.

I feel like the machines were packed way too close to each other. The person next to me and I kept bumping our feet awkwardly. And while I liked Rosie's enthusiastic and positive energy, she wasn't giving a lot instructions or demonstrations. She just told us to look to our neighbors and go with it. That's not very reassuring when many of us were first timers. And also, we run the risk of hurting ourselves with improper positions, with that said, she did correct my form a couple of times. But that still left me and a lot of other people just looking around at each lost and confused. But I think if you go enough times, you'll eventually get it, maybe. The class is quite intense, and even with my frequent breaks, it kicked my butt. I think the microphone was a bit too loud as well, felt more like a boot camp class. Overall, it was a good workout. Tip: parking is on 183 N Fair Oaks Ave if you want to put it in the GPS. Parking is free for 90 mins as long as you make sure to validate your ticket. The access code for the door they'd sent me didn't work, but someone inside opened the door for me. Rosie the instructor said it was just acting up, but it seems like a common problem here. I hope they fix that.

Please improve the overall customer experience.

This is my second time attending a class, and without going into details about the class itself, I'd like to highlight some important issues everyone should be aware of.

Entering the facility: On my first visit, at least three of us were locked out in the scorching sun for 10 minutes. While the website and guidance from ClassPass mentioned an entry gate code, none of us could get through using the code. I'm not sure if it was a malfunctioning keypad or another issue, but I noticed complaints about this on Yelp from other people as well.

Parking: The most significant issue happened during my second visit. I parked in the nearest parking lot and took my ticket to the front desk to validate it using a self-service machine. After scanning it, the machine displayed a blank screen. I asked the front desk staff what was wrong, but she didn't even look and simply said, 'You are all set,' before continuing her conversation with someone else. I asked why it was different from my first visit when I validated the ticket, but she again said, 'You are all set,' and I proceeded to my class.

When I returned to the parking lot, I was shocked to find that I had to pay $10. I went back inside to the front desk and noticed that the receptionist was nowhere to be found. Returning to the parking lot took me an additional 6 minutes, and the fee had now increased to $12. When I contacted the parking lot attendant, I was informed that this particular parking lot was not on Solidcore's list of validated parking lots, and many people end up paying at least $10 or more for parking. It seems to be a common occurrence, as the parking lot is very close to Solidcore. I carefully checked both the official website and ClassPass, and there was no information about which parking lots Solidcore could validate and which ones it couldn't.

What frustrated me the most was the irresponsible behavior of the front desk staff. When I asked her twice if something was wrong, she didn't even glance at the screen, failed to notice any issues, and simply brushed me off while chatting with others. When I returned, there was no one at the front desk (which is also why so many people were locked out on their first visit with no staff to assist).

I would like to urge Solidcore to pay more attention to the overall customer experience outside of the classes. Thank you.

Tara is an amazing instructor!! It was my first class. With each adjustment she gave me- I felt the burn/muscle fatigue even more! Tara was extremely helpful throughout class and continued to challenge and cheer me on. Pilate reformer classes are elite.

This location is brand new—they just opened in December 2022. I'll definitely be back to take more classes here!

Update after a several classes: the studio is well-maintained and clean. Classes have been good so far and [solidcore] standard. The staff are nice and friendly.

One of the classes I was scheduled to attend was canceled day-of. I booked this one with ClassPass and their system notified me earlier in the morning, but the studio's management sent out an email about an hour later with an apology and explanation, and offered a courtesy class. There are some businesses that don't reach out at all after a cancellation, but at [solidcore] Pasadena, they handled the situation well and it seems like they do care about their clients.

They offer class packs / memberships, which I am considering rather than using ClassPass credits, which typically ends up costing a lot more per class.

There is a parking lot conveniently around the corner and the studio provides parking validation.
