Amazing gym, very relaxed atmosphere and everyone is friendly and well behaved. Equipment is new and the gym is always very clean. All the boys at reception desk are extremely friendly and helpful!! I definitely recommend this gym if you looking for a good experience and safe environment. You can purchase a day pass if you don’t have membership, thank you soo much for having me during my 2 weeks holiday. I will definitely return when back in town in the future.

Staff was very nice. Towel availability while staff was there was 50/50. Generally fine. That said, it took 6 emails and 3 phone calls to first try to freeze my account and then when that failed, quit. Frustrated enough to take the time to write this review.

Edit: 4 to 5 stars, the staff is just too great to not recommend this place to everyone.
Great location, awesome staff. Amazing hours and good equipment.
Only one reason why it’s not 5 stars: Despite nearly everyone wearing headphones, they blast music so loud you can’t hear your own music while wearing noise isolating headphones - at full volume. Everyone in the gym is wearing headphones, because we want to hear our music, vs what you’re playing.
Otherwise, the place is perfect.

This is by far the best gym in Marin County. Forget about the other entitled gyms, this gym has legit equipment and nice environment and zero attitude and extra fees like the other ones around… don’t think about it, this gym is legit to get a good workout in. Staff is friendly and really enjoyable to workout here. Well done!

Great place to work out. Wish they didn't feel the need to crank the music. Everyone seems to have their own music going. So why?

God this place went downhill fast! Loved it when it opened but now the facilities already feel dirty and tired (broken mirrors, dirty bathrooms). The staff ranges from useless to displaying straight up inappropriate behavior. And of course to top it all off, it has that dreaded “impossible to cancel your membership” gym trap. When I finally cancelled my membership I received an email from corporate saying it was done and I was all good. Then they charged me again two months in a row. After dozens of attempts to try to cancel I had to call my bank and put a stop on the transaction. Six months later they are still trying to charge me and sending me emails about it. Don’t do ACH/direct deposit if you’re going to sign up there.

I joined this gym when I was ready to resume workouts post-COVID because it was so close to home & they had a great introductory offer. It's a pretty straightforward, no-frills operation (which I liked) with 24-hour access (which is really convenient).
They definitely having staffing issues. Often it wasn't staffed during supposed staffed hours because they didn't have people available. This probably contributes to my main issue, which was that the place was not clean or well-maintained. An operation like this should have a DAILY checklist that includes basic housekeeping - floors should be swept, equipment wiped down & dusted, laundry done often enough to ensure there are towels available for clients, etc. It would be nice if the clients didn't throw their trash on the floor, but staff can't control that.
As a small business owner myself, I understand & truly empathize with staffing challenges, especially in Marin. When staff calls out, management & owners need to cover & ensure a quality client experience.
So I cancelled my membership back in October, & received a confirmation of cancellation. They keep charging me & I'm having difficulty getting refunds. They ACH your bank account, not a credit card, so it's not as easy as just filing a dispute. I have been able to block any future charges but am very frustrated by the length of time it's taking to get a refund.

Great gym...does the job n it's available when u need it n centrally located..the only thing I don't like is that if u call no one answers the phone late hours..they should...don't see why they don't...that's why I give them 4 stars

This gym pegs itself as a premium gym, but it is anything but. For $110 a month the facility and the services are severely lacking. In San Rafael, the locker rooms are filthy regularly, and I learned from a staff member that they are only cleaned once a week. Junk is on the floor, the wastebasket is almost always full, the floor tiles are dirty. In the men’s room for months, only one soap dispenser works (now none works!) and only one sink faucet works. This has been the case for several months. Often, there is no soap in the dispenser that does work. There are 20 lockers but almost all of them are locked even though not in use. I’ve notified the staff about this but nothing gets done to unlock them, so only a few of them are available to use. This is a gigantic inconvenience when the gym is full. It’s such a shame because with only a little effort the gym owners could show their clients that they care and that they are committed to quality.
Update a few months later: no changes have been made in the men’s bathroom/locker room. One of two faucets and soap dispensers still don’t work. Trash is almost always overflowing onto the floor. Lockers are falling apart. High school kids workout regularly without shirts sweating on the gym equipment. This place is going downhill really quickly.

SOLID GYM BUILT FOR CONVENIENCE, LOCATION, and SELF-PLANNED - WORKOUTS
There was a pretty negative review on here, so I wanted to share my first experience.
Before I start, It's important to know what type of exercise or gym experience you are looking for. Depending on your goals and what you want, this gym (or any gym) may be perfect or not for you.
This location is known as one of their "boutique" locations. It has all the essentials to get your workout in. If you are looking for something that has all the equipment you want (or could want... .yes... even the hard to find accessories like bands, TRX, Landmine stabalizers...), in a good location to get your workout in and get home, this could be a great gym for you. If you are looking for group classes or a large array of cable machines, you you may want to consider checking out their other locations,
The Pros:
**Open 24/7: Not sure if anything else is open 24/7 in Marin, so this is really a great add. If you have odd hours, or want to have a place to go any time, this is a great perk. At times, for early risers or late-nigh owls, you may have to squeeze in a workout or skip entirely because of limited time. This is no longer an issue here and you won't have to rush your workout.
**Brand New Equipment: Yes, this is always a great experience when everything works and brand new. EVERYTHING is BRAND NEW. Take advantage while you can!
**State-of-the-art equipment: They have BRAND NEW Assault Bikes, pull up gear, rope, weights, sled, and great squat racks. This is hard to find, even in select gyms. Very cool to see this, and a big reason to join.
**Clean, Nice Bathrooms and Lockers: They have clean bathrooms, along with a small area to store your things while you work out. Make sure to bring your own lock, but this is a nice convenience.
**Location and Access: If you live and work in San Rafael, Novato, or Petaluma - this is a great place. You can get access to all locations with your membership. And if you are spending time a few days a month or week in one of the other cities, you can't beat it.
Things to consider:
Pricing: At the time of writing this, Regular membership is $99 per month when you sign up yearly, or $150 month-to-month, no commitment. While this can be a bit steep, its a great way to try out it for a month and see how you like it. Also, it sounds like they will allow a free session to try it out, and they also offer day and week passes. Great opportunity to see if this is right for you.
All in all, a brand new gym with brand new equipment, in a great location.

I don't write reviews often, but man whoever is in charge of operations behind the scene is doing a terrible job. I don't understand how you can request a cancellation of membership a month in advance per their policy, and then still be charged two months after despite even being told that I would be refunded before the second charge. Now they say they have no record of my information to refund me despite the fact that I have provided more than enough evidence to dispute that claim. Even saw another review on YELP claiming that he was charged two months after canceling as well, so who knows how many other people this has happened to. My advice would be to steer clear of this place and pretend it doesn't exist.

It’s a good gym but some of us High school students have jobs so when we arrive at the gym the doors are already closed especially those who work on weekends

Love this gym. All new, with really good equipment. Quiet, calm. Friendly users. One of the best things is it's near my home, so it's convenient. Wish they had showers, but it's clean, comfortable and a good place to work out.

This is a classic HGTV flip an old TJMaxx into a gym with cheap esthetics, rented equipment (but brand new) and no real thought to functionality. The name does not fit the expansion into another market (Marin) and is obvious they are in an identity crisis and more focused on the dollar than member experience. If you look at the social content… it is all Ads, not actual people or experiences. They need a new marketing team and need to rebrand.
The opening was not smooth — no lockers, unsafe electric wire cords, no towels, staff is not friendly and you can tell they don’t want to be there, no showers and cheap “wet” wipes for the equipment. The first month (which was supposed to be free) was still charged — instead of the owner taking responsibility, they sent a blast email bluntly blaming the ABC vendor. Took over a month to resolve and nothing was issued in return for the inconvenience. Just an email saying the vendor sucks… deal with it. Even looking at the owners responses to other google reviews shows they are not listening.
For the price… there are much better options that have actual amenities in the area.

Idk what the other locations are like; but $112.50/month for this place?!? It’s literally a former TJ Max or something and now just an open area with ZERO amenities. Back in NJ/NYC these gyms are $20/month.
Last night I was gonna join online for $79/month no enrollment. Figured id stop by today to check it out in person. I show up today and it’s $100/month+$150 enrollment. I ask the attendant if anyway to still have promotion (ONE day grand opening on a Wednesday..?). Says no. Then I ask if he can at least remove enrollment fee. Just a one word rudely no.
No towels. No locker room. Bathroom is ab the size of my apartment. The equipments is decent. But that price is absurd! For another $80/month or less you can join the Bay Club.
Was so looking forward to this place and such disappointment.
P.s. Also-BEWARE-I noticed their membership is sponsored by ABC Fitness Solutions; biggest scammers on the planet. Just Google the horror stories…..
