Great atmosphere and warm staff. The name is appropriate - you can feel the soulfulness in this studio and the people take their practice seriously. I love Abram's Zumba class as an energetic and happy start to the weekend. And Stefanie's Nia Dance class is truly special. People coming together to let go and build one another up. Highly recommend.

The Wednesday evening Afro-Brazilian dance class is a great dance workout. The steps are broken down to just the right amount of ease of learning & challenge, culminating in a fun dance routine in the end. I highly recommend trying it!

True community centered yoga! Grateful for such a nourishing space. I've been to both Oakland and Pinole locations. No frills, just flow, connection, and beautiful energy.
Classes are held with deep intention - while instructors and teaching styles are different, it's clear that each teacher guides and shares with genuine purpose and connection to community healing. Deep gratitude to Satya and all the teachers at Soulflow!

A great place to practice yoga or submerge omself on a soundbath event. It is Oakland center for the healing arts that embrace a space for POC and allies to be in union with this ancient and beautiful practice we call yoga.

Ever grateful for this yoga studio. Soulflow is has been so welcoming. I've been consistently attending classes for a year at both the Pinole and Oakland studios. The classes are mindful and accessible. Not only do they host yoga classes, but they offer amazing special community events, dance classes, retreats, and more. Slide through!!!

Where do I begin?
I find it less common to find communities where people (especially the owner) embody authenticity and hold space in such nurturing and equitable ways.
I moved back to Oakland a few months ago and have been looking to establish and build community. A friend of mine who is a yoga instructor recommended I try out SoulFlow, and although it took some time, I'm so glad the community kept calling out to me.
From making the studio accessible to all, to feeling seen, experienced, and welcomed, the more I keep showing up, the more my body yields to the consistency of being in (a safe) space with others. I have enjoyed various yoga classes and Nia dance, and look forward to continuing to grow with the community.

Soulflow Oakland is a lovely and welcoming space! Satya is a great instructor, I always feel refreshed after her classes. She gets to know all of her students by name and puts a lot of emphasis on mindfulness and self love. The location is also super convenient for me, it’s just off of a 14 stop in downtown. Highlyyy recommend🫢🏻

I am so grateful that I found SoulFlow! It’s the first yoga studio that I’ve ever truly felt welcome at. The diversity of people and body types is truly special. Their event offerings, especially the sound baths, have been healing and transformative for me. It's a special place. A safe place. Warm and welcoming. I would encourage folks to give it a try whether you’ve done yoga before or not or at least check out one of their events.

I frequent SoulFlow Oakland quite often, and I keep coming back! I hopped around studios for a while and first found the studio in November 2023; and I gotta say, this studio is my favorite one in the Bay Area. Satya and the instructors really curate a comfortable, inclusive, and nonjudgmental vibe that honors the practice of yoga and community in a very grounded and respectful way. They are very generous with their time and thoughtfulness. I highly recommend this studio to anyone curious about yoga, as well as those already deep in the practice. The class offerings change every few weeks, and it keeps things interesting. I personally enjoy the low impact classes, but there are more difficult classes as well. The studio also offers dance classes, Zumba, workshops, free classes at times, sound baths, events, retreats, sliding scale for those who need it, and a lot more. I always leave feeling better than when I came in

Two years ago I signed up for a yoga class with Satya. It was my first yoga class and I didn’t know what to expect. What I found was a warm, welcoming, and inclusive community that truly embodies the spirit of yoga.

I really admire and appreciate Satya’s commitment to making her classes and retreats (physically and financially) accessible to all. It’s just one of the things that makes Soulflow such a special community.

This was my first introduction to yoga and I'm so thankful to Satya and to the studio for making yoga financially accessible through the sliding scale membership! I love the multicultural and intergenerational community and I love the spirit of the teachers - I've learned a tool for how to be embodied here and I'm very grateful!

I am so grateful to be a member of the SoulFlow community. The Saturday morning class, which I have regularly attended for years (!), resets me from my week and grounds me community. It's not every yoga studio where everyone knows your name.

This yoga and healing center has quickly become my go-to spot for wellness! I've had the pleasure of practicing with several instructors - Satya, Aja, Jose, Malika, and Josie - and each one brings a unique style and positive energy to their classes.

The best part? The community here is incredibly welcoming and inclusive. Whether you're a seasoned practitioner or just starting out, you'll feel right at home. Plus, the center offers a wide variety of classes, so there's truly something for everyone. I can't wait to explore more classes and meet the other instructors!

Highly recommend this center to anyone seeking a supportive and enriching yoga experience! πŸ₯°

I’ve attended classes at many yoga studios in many cities around the country and have never found a community as special and phenomenal as soul flow. I absolutely love the accessibility and inclusivity of the classes, the honoring of yogas origins, the warmth of the teachers and members, the enormous spiritual and mental health lessons I’ve learned. Soul flow has allowed me to significantly deepen my yoga practice and overall improved my health quality of life. Much gratitude <3

Soulflow is a fun, inclusive studio, and the community is really welcoming! I love how Satya's yoga classes always leave me feeling grounded and energized. The location in downtown Oakland is great--the studio is in a cool old building and gets lots of sun through giant windows, and it feels somehow connected to the flow of the city but also removed enough to be peaceful. It's super accessible by BART, and parking is usually pretty easy on Saturday morning.

Despite being a bit difficult to find, the space has an amazing yoga vibe. The set up with the open windows is beautiful. The studio feels serene. I had a super sweet instructor, Courtney, during my class who made the experience even more memorable! The studio also has meditation pillows, blankets, and yoga mats and blocks available for use that is especially good if you are visiting from out of town! Would definitely recommend visiting if you live/visit the bay and would visit again!

A Heartwarming Yoga Journey Filled with Nourishment and Connection

Soulflow Retreats has been an absolute delight to be a part of as both a caterer and attendee. Satya is an incredibly talented yoga teacher and retreat organizer who touched my heart with her unmatched organization, impeccable care, open communication, and unwavering commitment to safety.

As a caterer for Soulflow retreats, I was astounded by the care that was exhibited towards the culinary team. The commitment to safety protocols created an environment that prioritized well-being, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the transformative retreat experience. Whether you're attending as a guest or working behind the scenes, the loving touch and attention to detail will leave a lasting impression on your heart.

Satya's teaching style is intuitive, adapting to the needs of each individual in the class, while also fostering a sense of unity within the group. The community she cultivates is truly special - a place where everyone feels welcome, celebrated, and supported.

With heartfelt gratitude.

I have been a member of SoulFlow Oakland for several years now. I enjoy each and every yoga class and special event that I attend, and I find the quality of the teachers and facilities to be outstanding. Satya has created not just a business, but an incredible community that is based on kindness and compassion. She and the other teachers support each participant in finding exactly what they are looking for specifically. I feel a deep sense of gratitude for the clear, intentional focus on and inclusion of marginalized groups. How wonderful that everyone can find a safe and nurturing space at SoulFlow Oakland!
