Not even worth my one star. Don’t waste your time signing up here. I booked an appointment on Tuesday for Friday morning, got an email confirmation right away, and even received reminder texts on Wednesday and Thursday. When I showed up on Friday, the place didn’t exist—and then I got a text saying they were shutting down and not taking new clients.
If I had booked last-minute, I’d understand, but I signed up days in advance and still got confirmations and reminders. Total waste of time and gas. Really disappointing experience.

I checked out every gym in the area, I did my research, and this gym is the best one.
I’ve been going every weekday before work and I love it. It’s the most consistent I’ve been at the gym. They have a cool app where they put in your workouts, and it even has a quick demo video in case you forget how. The gym is always clean, and perfectly organized. That’s all cool, but the main thing is I feel supported. I can ask any question I need to, I can have my plan adjusted at any time. I asked for more stretches, and told them i started working a desk job, and I got specific stretches to help with neck and back pain. It worked. I haven’t had any neck/back pain since. I’ve had other trainers, been to multiple other gyms in my life, and there’s no fluff or upselling or anything with this one. They give you what you need to succeed, and the rest is up to you.
Edit 12/18/24 - It’s been three months, and I still love it here. I feel healthy, happy and I have a plan that’s sustainable. Connor is the most knowledgeable trainer I’ve had, and the progress I’ve made in lifting is incredible. I’ve progressed further with Connor in 3 months than I did in over a year with my previous trainer.

TLDR: Excellent coaching, encouraging staff, reasonable pricing. I have a long history in strength training and organized sports, but the coaching here forced me to unlearn a ton of bad habits. As a result, I’m lifting more weight than I ever have after a year of training here. It did not happen overnight. It does take discipline that most people do not have. However, the community here (staff and members) is encouraging every step of the way. If you want to learn to stay consistent in your fitness journey, this is the place to do it. I highly recommend it.

Extremely welcoming, supportive community. The trainers are knowledgeable and provide personal feedback. For me they have helped identify particular weaknesses (primarily lack of mobility) and provided tailored exercises to help address this and also ensure I’m able to build strength without risking getting injured. Spark Fitness is an amazing change from the large globo gyms I’ve gone to before.

Awesome gym! This team knows their stuff and works within your parameters. Before I knew it I was pressing and squatting double the weight I started with and in corrected form! I was looking for a place that had a good schedule for group classes, and also for a place that could offer good motivation. I really like how the trainers personalize the challenging exercises according to your strength and you are able to track your personal records. Aside from the group exercises, and personal sessions available , I really like having the trainers guide you during the exercises and having them correct me when I am doing them wrong so that I can avoid any injuries. This place knows what they’re doing. I definitely have learned a lot from the sessions I’ve received so far.

The workouts take the brain out of the equation. You basically get your workout ready for you, and you can focus on form and proper posture the whole time you’re there. Any time I have any questions, they are always glad to answer and help.

Went to Spark for a year and I cannot recommend it enough! You always get one on one time with the coaches during class, whether it's to get to know you or help you reach your goals. I had some difficulty accomplishing the workout as written every once in a while, and I was never shamed or made to feel less than the others that did finish it. They tailor to your needs and never push you to do workouts that cause you pain or discomfort.
All the coaches are great, the members are welcoming and friendly, and its environment should be what every small gym strives for.

I’ve been a Spark Fitness member for about 16 months. Prior to joining, I’d never done strength training — other than a failed introduction to CrossFit at a facility where, when I asked what I was doing wrong to bust up my knees with bruises during burpees, I was simply told to “do them better.” (No kidding, Captain Obvious. I’d love to – help me get there!)
Enter Spark Fitness and the trio of Connor, Gabe and Javier!
The Fundamentals program got me up and running with a safe introduction to core movements and lifts, and was a great way to kick things off. After that, I became a regular in the evening Strength and Conditioning classes.
I really appreciate how the coaches consistently find the right mix of modifying/scaling a movement to keep it doable, safe and challenging for each member. And there’s never any shame in the game for needing a modification. I’m a recovering perfectionist and can be hard on myself if I feel like I’m not doing something “the way it’s supposed to be done,” but I’ve never batted an eye about doing my scaled version of fill-in-the-blank on any given day. That’s a credit to the coaches both in their coaching skillset and also the supportive environment they’ve created in the gym.
Speaking of the environment … another plus, IMHO, is how everyone looks, dare I say, like “normal people.” And by “normal,” I mean, if “strength training gym” makes you think of “meathead” and “gym rat” stereotypes, that’s not what you’ll find here. We’re everyday peeps, in different shapes and sizes, in different stages of our journeys, just doing our thing to be stronger and healthier.
I’m stronger now — at 50 — than I was at 30. That’s pretty cool. Thanks, Spark Fitness!

Every coach here takes the time and care to focus on where every client needs the help. From personal one on one training to the standard group classes, they make sure you don't get injured. The coaches are there to walk you through every step of each movement.
The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming and everyone is treated like family. Since the rebrand they have continued to be a glowing representation of what a personal gym should be!

Spark Fitness changed my daily routine and even my mental stability!
My posture is much better and I feel stronger after every class. I was afraid to increase weights during the strength workout, but the coaches guides you to become stronger in every class. It is just a matter of showing up to classes consistently.
I love the fact that the membership comes with In-body discussion sessions, and one to one health benefits and goals meeting with the coach. I haven't seen other crossfit gyms offer these.
Every class, it feels like I am getting personal training. Coaches look closely and corrects my forms and give out so many tips that I never knew. Also, the members at Spark Fitness are so nice and have friendly environment.
Whatever fitness goals you have, you will see the results here at Spark Fitness.

Don’t waste your money or time here. This CrossFit gym is small and has limited amount of equipment. I also notice that they don’t clean their equipment after each member uses it. Also the fundamental classes they make you take in order to enroll into the CrossFit class is bogus.

Since I joined Parkside CrossFit, my plantar fasciitis pain has a gone away. I can’t credit the physical therapy I’ve been doing for it because I was just going through the stretches for 30 mins, never really learning anything in the process. In the same 30 minutes of personal training at Parkside, Coach Connor & Coach Gabe have been able to teach me how form works so I don’t put any excess stress on my body. They helped me realize that part of my foot pain came from improper weight distribution. My core strength is growing stronger with each session.
The gym is kept very clean and it’s nice to be able to have personal training sessions in an empty gym. Sometimes there may be one other member finishing up their session right before me. I’ve always been a shy gym member so that quality is worth the $$$.
The training is created just for me and my body’s needs. The coaches prep my workout before I arrive to my session, and I can access all of that information through their app. The time they put in to tailor something just for me is worth the $$$
Even when I went on vacation, Coach Gabe sent me an email detailing an at home stretch and workout routine. I love the individual attention that Parkside provides for its members.
If you are someone like me that is afraid of going to the gym but want to learn how to perform workouts with proper form, then this is the gym for you.

Gabriel Grier is an excellent coach and personal trainer! He started training me as I was finishing Cardiac Rehab after a valve replacement surgery. I’m rehabbing through a shoulder injury and couldn’t do it without their patience, communication and ingenuity. I started the year barely able to raise my arm and today did deadlifts and squats. After looking around my area for personal trainers, I joined Parkside CrossFit about a year and a half ago. When I joined, I had no clear view of what I wanted from personal training other than to be more in shape. I didn’t even have a concept of what CrossFit entailed. Connor, the gym’s owner, contacted me first, and I made an appointment to check out the gym. Gabe greeted me, asked me questions about my goals, and told me about their personal training approach. It appealed to me because they worked around my crazy work schedule, and their training sessions are not meant to overwhelm you and make you workout to failure. The sessions have built up over time to ensure you have the proper form before lifting heavy weights, and the continuous feedback is excellent. Over this past year and a half, my gains have surpassed my expectations, and I feel like I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been- I’m in my early 40s. On a side note, I had also suffered from chronic back pain for several years, and physical therapy did nothing to fix it. I’m not sure if it’s a result of my back getting stronger, but the pain has completely disappeared since I started working out at Parkside. All the coaches I have had are knowledgeable and caring and, as you progress, will push you to reach that small but satisfying increment of weight you can lift to your next personal record. Parkside also has group classes that I haven’t done but look fun from the times my sessions overlapped. Overall, my experience at Parkside CrossFit personal training has been great.

I recently moved to the Burbank area and explored many options for a gym/box. I was looking for a place were I was comfortable….Right from the start Connor provided that! Its a true community! How do I begin this review 🤪 I use to do planet fitness for about 6 months. One day I woke up and said I needed to evolve more like if I’m a Pokémon lol. Anyways back to where I was going with this I honestly was telling my coworker how I wanted to change up my fitness routine. CrossFit has always caught my eye but I never got the courage to actually do it. I remember just saying to myself I’m going to just look at a lot of CrossFit gyms around my area and see which one I like. No lie I saw a few but I didn’t feel the vibe like I did when I walked in here on Easter Sunday! Lol like who opens on Easter Sunday just to accommodate me with my crazy schedule. Parkside CrossFit did it :) That was one of the main reasons why I went ahead and signed up that day. It was honestly the best decision of my life! I have no regrets! It has helped me in so many different ways. Physically, mentally and it keeps me going. I love coming here it’s so welcoming they are all so sweet!! Gabe is amazing always answers all of my questions! Same with the coach Keenan!! Definitely knows how to make those work outs kick our butts! Monica is beyond sweet! So caring and always ready for anything! I only have 3 months here and honestly I feel the difference people notice it too which is amazing! I will forever recommend Parkside CrossFit to anyone who asks me what gym do I go to. The best investment is yourself and it’s so worth investing in a gym that can meet all the requirements you need while making you feel like your part of the family all in one. I joined Parkside CrossFit in December 2021. I reached out to get some information and was ready for a big sales push. What I got instead was a conversation about what I wanted out of my CrossFit experience, what my goals were and what concerns I had. Gabe listened and learned about what I was looking for before letting me know why it sounded like a good fit for me to join.
Before my first day, I hadn't been active or working out in any consistent way for a decade+ and I was anxious about how I was going to do, how ridiculous would I look never having lifted weights before, and feeling that I was probably in over my head. After my first workout, I never looked back. The other members are warm and welcoming, the coaches are all focused on you as an individual, and will nudge to get your best effort, but never, ever, make you feel that you haven't done enough.
It has become my "happy place" and beside feeling physically stronger and leaner, after 4 short months, I have seen positive changes in my work habits, personal habits and confidence - all for the better. I will always be grateful for Parkside CrossFit team and members for those positive changes!! Come check it out - you won't regret it!!

Parkside Crossfit has helped me tremendously, and I'm well on my way to being in the best shape of my life. I've had gym memberships in the past, but I was never taught how to approach my fitness journey in a healthy way, with a healthy mindset. The coaches at Parkside encouraged me to take things slowly, focus on small gains, remain consistent, and take my nutrition seriously. I used to suffer from high blood pressure, joint pain, fatigue, and was generally exhausted. I've been working out at Parkside consistently for about a year and half now, and my body composition has changed completely. I have more energy, more confidence, know how to eat right, and just feel fantastic overall. I've lost 30 lbs on the scale, gained a bunch of muscle, and can do things I never thought that I'd be able to do (like wall walks!). I would like to give a specific shout-out to Gabe, who has worked with me all throughout this process. He has great energy, is super patient, overwhelmingly positive, and makes the gym feel non-judgmental and inviting. He's a great coach to have in your corner, and I would highly recommend him to anyone and everyone.

Parkside is a hidden gem. Connor and Gabe are some of the best coaches you'll have, when it comes to accomplishing your fitness goals. Whether it's crossfit classes or personal training, they'll get you where you wanna go. I had never done CrossFit before. I went to do a meet and greet at this gym. Right then and there I was pressured into signing a 6 month contract costing over $1400.
I soon after realized it was a big mistake for multiple reasons. Over the next week I tried to cancel it on about 5 different occasions. They didn’t budge. Once I told them I don’t want to be affiliated with the gym, they told me they sent my account to collections.
So now I have a bill of over $1400, and have still literally never done a single CrossFit workout. If you’re a potential new client all I have to say is be very careful around these guys.

I've been a member of Parkside CrossFit for 5 months now and I gotta say, best decision I've ever made! They create such a welcoming environment, fit for ANYONE! I am below average as far as strength, but the coaches really cater to your needs and push you to the best of your abilities! Parkside CrossFit instantly became a home. Day and night difference between other CrossFit gyms. I had been to 8 other CrossFit gyms for various lengths of time over the years, but never had a memorable experience. The WODs were similar to the workouts I would make up for myself, so there was a draw to CrossFit. But, I always felt like just another sweaty number, at those gyms. I felt like I was always fending for myself, trying to figure out complex movements, and hoping to not hurt myself, because let's be honest, none of us can afford an injury. They were all pretty bad experiences. I didn't trust the coaches, and the atmosphere was one of competition, which is okay but not the point of me going to the gym. The first gym I ever went to, during the into they handed me a PVC pipe and told me to do an overhead squat (one of the most difficult movements). Needless to say, it wasn't great. The coaches response, "you'll need to work on that". That was it, no encouragement, just the obvious. Mmmkay thanks, I appreciate the guidance... "Coach". Onto Parkside!!!!
This was the first CrossFit gym I came to where I felt safe. Like I wasn't going to be leaving with an injury. Where everyone wasn't competing, but everyone was getting better. It wasn't a hyped up Bro session, with a bunch of people ego lifting, and coaches just counting the minutes until the class was finished. For once, I enjoyed coming to the gym for more than the workout. So I stayed. The coaches were so informative and helpful, that it reignited my passion for this type of working out. I got so involved, that they asked if I was possibly interested in coaching. Of course!!! I was all in at this point! I got certified, actually learned what CrossFit methodology was, and in turn learned how bad the previous gyms I had gone to were.
Over a year of coaching went by and I was offered the position of head coach. Getting to help my Parkside family members reach their goals in a sustainable way has been one of the greatest joys of my life. I am now transitioning to the role of GM. This is by far the best CrossFit gym I have ever been to (I've been all over the country), and one of the best organizations I've ever worked for. I know that the GM of a business giving it a 5 star review is sort of a no-brainer, but I wouldn't be where I am, working for this gym, if it wasn't a 5-star business, with a 5-star owner and 5-star members. Parkside CrossFit isn't just some CrossFit Gym, it is truly a home, and a place where anyone who becomes family WILL change their life for the better. The reviews speak for themselves.

I’ve been a Parkside Crossfit member for about 4 months now and it’s the best decision I have ever made. For years, I said I would never go to a CrossFit gym because it was too intense or quite frankly I didn’t think I was strong enough.
I was WRONG! Pam and Connor are amazing coaches that help you through your entire process. You’re not doing this alone! I can tell you that in just four months, I feel stronger, leaner, and more confident all around.

I love it!! The atmosphere is great! Everyone is very supportive and inclusive. I have definitely gotten stronger from when I began during a 6 week challenge. I have seen my body change and I was able to come off of the Plato I had hit. Pam was awesome with helping me during a nutrition session to figure out exactly what I was doing wrong. Helped me calculate my macro's. Connor and Pam the dynamic duo are always motivating us and helping us to achieve our goals. Still instilling fun as we get huge! ;) All we have to do is show up and but in the work. I still got a ways to go to reach my weight goal, but I'm headed in the right direction.

I followed coach and co-owners Pam and Connor from their previous gym, as their coaching and care are second to none. The community they've grown since taking over Parkside in April, 2018 is nothing less than stellar. Pam and Connor, in addition to their CrossFit coaching skills, are very knowledgable and certified in areas of nutrition, weight lifting and more. Yes, if you look at Parkside's website you'll see I now coach there, but I'm motivated to write this review by the immense help and encouragement they've given me, which led me to the point of wanting to be a certified trainer myself, and a shoutout to their embracing the Masters (senior) community!

After coming back from being off for a couple years and with a surgery Park Side was the perfect place. Inside the welcoming environment are also great coaches who know how to adjust especially for people like me with deficiency. And with all that great help I have improved Tremendously. I have found a home at Park Side. 👍💪💯

I can't say enough about owner's Pam and Connor. On a personal level, they have helped me turn my life around. They invest in their members and want to see them succeed. I am down 70lbs with their help. I am an all around better athlete - stronger, faster and leaner!
The gym is clean, organized and efficient. You will walk in to smiles and a warm welcome. It is a tight community that spends time together even outside the gym. Form is huge for our coaches! Programming is constantly challenging us and proving how much better we are getting.

I must say the coaches at Parkside CrossFit have really helped me to come back from a disabling injury they were always positive and caring and had every modification for every WOD I did. Love this place and the people That work out there happy and motivating group.

This was my first time back to take a class with the new oweners. Wow! It was excelent. I am very impressed in the way they took extra care to watch my form so I would not injure myself . Can't wait to go back!

My rating and review do not cover what this business actually has to offer for its clientele but rather the impact they have on the surrounding business. The classes often spill over into the parking area which wouldn’t be a huge issue except for the fact that it takes more than common sense for them to move out of the way for other vehicles trying to get by. In addition, their classes (along with another company offering classes right next door) get so busy that the clients park wherever they want. This regularly blocks other tenants from getting to their own vehicles and/or occupies spaces reserved for other tenants. The other tenants then have to hunt down who the vehicle belongs to when this and the other business need to be monitoring where their clients are choosing to park.

Parkside is the BEST! I'm a CrossFit newbie and have never done anything close to these workouts before coming here! Pam and Conner are fantastic coaches. They take the time to break down every move, every lift, to ensure everyone is safe while also getting the most out of the WOD. I've seen incredible results and gains in my strength, cardio, endurance and mental toughness. On top of all that, the sense of community here is INCREDIBLE! Everyone is friendly, supportive, and encourages you to do your best. This is a really special place!

I can't say enough about Parkside Crossfit and owners Connor and Pam. Since starting over a year and a half ago, I lost over 40lbs (in the first couple months!) and have continued to gain muscle and become the fittest version of myself.
Connor has become one of my best friends, and the community atmosphere at this gym actually makes me want to go work out! I highly recommend checking out this place if you're serious about getting in shape.

Great place! I have only lifted weights before, never tried crossfit. The first thing I noticed was the atmosphere - extremely positive. They motivated me and I pushed myself to a new level. Thank you Connor and Pamela, you guys are the best!
