Came to purchase a day pass and was waiting for a long time. The two male workers were busy and one of the male workers said the other would assist with ringing me out for a day pass because he was about to give a tour. The other male worker however was helping a member and kept saying he’ll be right with us. At this point another guy stood behind me that needed help too. Apparently the guy behind me knew this male worker and they began to exchange words here and there. Once the male worker got done helping the member the male worker proceeded to try to help out his friend, WHEM IVE BEEN WAITING THIS WHOLE TIME. The guy behind me had to tell the worker that I was here first. I’m really big on customer service and this whole interaction was unsatisfactory.

LIARS AND DONT CARE ABOUT YOU ONLY ABOUT MONEY AND COMMISION!! I repeat do NOT come to this chain of gyms. They are a bunch of scammers and liars and will lie to you in order to get your card information in order to charge you. In my case they called me numerous times everyday attempting to get me to pay for fees when i was moved out and not even attending the gym. Will threaten to send you to collections and give you a "promotion" of waiving your fees at a discounted price which I agreed to in order to get out of the harassment of calling me and texting me with several different numbers everyday. I agreed to waive the fees at the "discounted" price they gave me, then later that same day I was charged 2 more times. 2 MORE ADDITONAL TIMES !! How does it make sense that a gym will charge you 3 times in one day? Make that make sense.

Men’s Sauna probably hasn’t worked for a couple months this year, not counting the months you couldn’t even effectively use the gym during the remodel, which somehow resulted in less water fountains. A gym with one fountain and regularly more than 100 people is wild. Whoever is in charge of maintaining this place should be immediately fired/ or they are incredibly cheap and don’t like putting money into this place. I imagine it’s both.

I’m revising my original review which was 5 stars

I was debating between planet fitness and speakeasy and I chose speakeasy specifically because they did not list any sign up fees or annual fees anywhere on their website

Turns out, there IS an annual fee - it’s $69 every year. You won’t find it under terms and conditions, you will only find it under “notes” at checkout.

Also, they can raise the monthly fee at anytime without notice and if you show up without saying anything, that’s taken as acceptance of a rate increase.

We live in a world where business is ran online and deliberately hiding information like this so it’s hard to see is no accident.

The vibes are good and the employees are great. But if you are going to list the monthly fee in big bold letters on your home page, have some self respect and common business sense to list everything else too (check out Planet Fitness for example)
