I go back to high school with Master Spears. I recall him training with him even after he enlisted in the Marines sharping his skills more and more. He has been training for over 50 years, 1975 through 2025.

I registered my grandson at this academy, and it is the best thing I have ever done for him. Children need positive role models who teach them respect while they learn martial arts. Every student there is very respectful and understands that there are consequences if they are not.
We are excited to attend training every day.

At Spears Academy everyone is like a family. Master Spears not just teaches my kids taekwondo but he also teaches them how to respect everyone and listen to us. Always tell the kid to do their best in school and do start any fight but be ready to defend themselves when people try to hurt them.

My two children have been going to Spears Taekwondo Academy for almost a year and a half now. My husband has multiple degree black belts in several martial arts styles, so he was very picky when selecting a gym for our kids. We couldn't be happier here. My daughter has grown exponentially here, and the masters are so generous in offering their time to help her advance. Master Spears has come to understand my special needs son and makes him feel cared for and safe, while also teaching discipline and respect. His gym is very orderly and he has impeccable command of his students, while at the same time showing his love for them in his frequent recognitions of students' achievements both at gym and in school and life. The families who attend are so welcoming. I highly recommend Spears Taekwondo Academy. We are grateful to be part of this gym.

My granddaughter has attended Spears Academy for the past 6 years. She was diagnosed with ADHD in elementary school. I was adamant that I wasn’t going to have her on medication. My kids joined this academy about a year ago and I couldn’t be more pleased with the progress I have seen in them!! Master spears is great with the kids and holds them to a standard. Mr Spears taught my girls TKD in the 1990’s. He also taught them life changing rules to respect life, themselves, others including discipline and athletic skills to carry to adulthood. All have advanced to black black levels and have competed in the junior TKD Olympic events throughout the United States achieving Gold medals.
They are very rounded ladies and so proud of their achievements.
Mr. Spears is the real deal and your child will get best proper training with his years of education in the area of TKD.

I appreciate the arts! As a young lady in the 80s, I trained in TKD. It helped me and my family in multiple ways. I wanted my children benefit too, so I brought them to Spears Academy. Grand Master Spears offers a vast variety of conditioning and training, and he works well with children of all ages and at their level. He has experience with children because he works in a school district. He is a retired US Marine, so he has high standards of toughness. My children are learning discipline, getting in shape, learning forms, learning different punches/kicks/combinations, and practicing with weapons. Grand Master Spears simulates tournament sparing, so the students are prepared and know what to expect. In addition, if the moment presents itself, they are confident to defend themselves physically and mentally. TKD at Spears Acadamy is a plus for any developing child. It is an honor to have my children train under Grand Master Spears. He is a true community mentor.
