LIVE HEALTHY AND PAIN FREE! Squish is the most unique combination of strength conditioning, body building, and body mechanics I have ever experienced. Alex Macip, the founder and lead trainer, has a deep understanding of exercise science, physiology and nutrition. He is highly invested in his member's whole health. I have not just joined a gym, I have joined a wellness community!  Alex functions as my clinician, spiritual coach and somewhat of a motivational therapist. His attention to detail, his high EQ, and his metabolic/anatomy knowledge is off the charts. My husband joined first due to a sports injury and I saw his body transformation in just under 1 year. I came in highly skeptical, as I was a Yoga enthusiast and never lifted weights before. As a former venture capitalist and high-tech exec, I did not have time to train in person. I started with just 2 weekly 1 hour 1:1 private training sessions with Alex and then moved on to weekly group classes (w/ 10 people or less) 3X a week once I comprehended the basics of framing and lifting. I HAVE NEVER SEEN RESULTS like this!  I love my body now, it looks different! Alex can sculpt any body type and recondition muscle weakness whether you are recovering from an injury, managing chronic pain, or simply improving your athletic performance. He is quite literally a body magician!  He tailors his programs to his personal client's needs. EXAMPLE: most recently, I had a biking accident where I fractured my wrist and needed surgery and hardware. Alex immediately re-calibrated my program and had me back in the gym 14 days post accident. He is currently augmenting my doctor-prescribed physical therapy with his own body work. I am healing way faster then my doctor's other patients. On top of all that, Alex is patient - he steadily works through my pain, fears, and emotions - keeping me positive. I am extremely grateful! The gym is private, intimate and body positive. Price point wise, Squish is a BARGAIN for the amount of body awareness and results you get back!! I am screaming from the roof tops for anyone to try this gym out. I would gladly gift sessions to friends and family who are in unnecessary pain. Alex is my new "secret weapon" for personal longevity and wellbeing! I am a lifetime member!

Squish is a really unique and awesome place to reach your workout goals. Alex and team ask a ton of questions and work hard to figure out what you need for your own journey. I am an elite athlete and was working on injury recovery and prevention. Alex thought through every possible angle for my injury, from body mechanics, weaknesses, to hydration and nutrition. Each session begins with 'squishing' or some deep release for a muscle that might be causing some issues, and then a personalized program to strengthen and make your brain/body connect to fire the right muscles and get your body on track. I've been lifting for 20 years, but never really taught the right mechanics. Alex and team gave immediate and timely feedback to help me lift correctly. I have learned a lot!

*update- I’ve been traveling abroad for about a year and am STILL injury free. I enthusiastically recommend the Squish gym, particularly if you're looking for exceptional training and care. Alex, the primary trainer (and owner), goes above and beyond for his clients. When I approached him with a nagging Achilles injury, he wasted no time in accurately diagnosing the issue and initiating my path to recovery.

Under Alex's guidance, I experienced noticeable improvement after just a few sessions. By the fifth session, I was feeling significantly better. His expertise extends beyond mere rehabilitation; he imparted invaluable knowledge about foot mechanics and posture, stressing the importance of strength training for injury prevention.

I've been training with Alex for about a month now, and I think Alex is an excellent trainer! I reached out seeking help with managing hip pain & getting back into strength training (after a long break), and after a few weeks of private sessions, I've reached a pain-free state and I've learned how to maintain proper posture while working out!

Alex is simply amazing. I've suffered shoulder pain for 30 years from an old wrestling injury and it got to the point where the MD's told me I had to have it replaced. I was in miserable pain, unable to sleep or do my job. Within the first few weeks of training at Squish, Alex reduced my pain by 50% and improved my range of motion. Immediate results! Now a few months later I sleep throught the night and can now comfortably do my job as I am almost 100% pain free. Alex is on another level as far as understanding the mechanics of the human body and the equipment in his gym is better than anything you will find in any gym. I've been a gym rat for 40+ years but I had developed bad habits and poor form. Alex was able to correct my mechanics and strengthen muscles I had stopped using do to my shoulder pain. As a Chiropractor, I would do anything to avoid surgery but I had run out of options. I was lucky to have a friend refer me to Alex and Squish gym and if you are reading this I highly recommend you stop living with your pain and call him right now!

Squish has become like my second home. My friend who has been going there since it opened, had been recommending it for YEARS. And unfortunately I waited until I had a serious injury to get a consultation with Alex and join the Squish family. He is, without a doubt, the most knowledgeable trainer I have ever met. The trainers here are some of the kindest people I have ever met. They have helped me improve not only my body, but my relationship with food and with my weight. The equipment here is all brand new and in perfect condition. New equipment pops up every few months and the workout are constantly changing. I have been training here for 3 years, & I can’t recommend them enough! I have become soo much more confident in my form & my ability to safely lift heavy weight. Through training with alex & learning how to do basic things such as walking/standing (but with actual proper form & body alignment), my crippling back pain that I had was completely eliminated, which is a miracle to me. Squish gym is honestly unlike any other gym out there - that is, in the best of ways. A few months ago I broke my clavicle due to a mountain bike accident and was recommended to physical therapy. After a couple months of physical therapy, and minimal improvements in strength and mobility, I went into Squish Gym. After one hour of work at Squish, I had better mobility in my shoulder than I had in months; I could finally move my arm without pain. So, I stopped physical therapy and continued to go to Squish. And only about a month later I am back to lifting weights, pain free, and all thanks to Squish. The community within the gym is great and always makes you feel welcome. I highly recommend Squish to others, whether you are looking to improve your strength, fix an issue, or simply find a group of kind and helpful people.

I showed up to Alex with perennial back pain....for years. Within 3 weeks he had my lower back feeling better. I've also had recent shoulder surgery & have had this one motion that causes me pain 7 months later when it shouldn't. Again, within a month he has fixed my shoulder pain. Alex listens to you not only on your first visit, but more importantly, every time you show up. He doesn't just go by some script and say this is what you're going to do today. If your body isn't cooperating on that muscle on that day, he moves on to something else so you don't hurt yourself. That's what keeps me coming back. He adapts to YOU....not the other way around. I highly recommend Squish!

I have been going to physical therapy for years because of hip pain, and it would always get better for day or two...then come right back. It was a constant struggle that stopped me from being able to go on hikes, run, or just have a normal day pain free. It got to a point where it was starting to affect my work as I have a job where I have to stand all day. I decided to join Squish as a way to get myself in shape, but after the first consultation with Alex I felt so much hope for my hip to be better - he told me he could help! I have now been at Squish for three weeks, and have no more hip pain. I’m already starting to see results too! Yay!! 10/10 recommend. Very friendly and uplifting environment. Always someone there to check your form, help you get onto a machine, or just give you a boost of self confidence.

WOW! transformative, structured, great energy, fantastic training, intense!
Let me explain:
I came to Alex, the head trainer and owner at Squish Gym, three years ago with hopes of an intense workout. However, having competed in athletics at a Divison 1 collegiate level for four years I had some injuries that were preventing me from training (or even moving) on my own without pain. These injuries were something that I had just trained through knowing no better. That is until I met Alex. Due to a broken and repaired clavicle, my posture was horrible and shoulders were torn up. It wasn't until I started mentally and physically buying into Alex's techniques and rehab training that I started to move pain free and a posture that was proud and not hunched. Not to mention building a strong healthy body I wanted! I'm sad to be moving because there's nothing like Squish Gym that I have found.

Alex has an exceptional eye for detail when it comes to the human anatomy as it relates to training. At the beginning of this year I had a painful "locked shoulder". Every time i would roll over in my sleep I would wake up from the pain. In a relatively short amount of time Alex got my body whipped into shape (particularly my glutes). And, today I have shoulder mobility, strength and best of all no more pain!
