This is a predatory business! Do not go or sign up, my wife signed up not too long ago and she has since then become disabled, the manager/ceo said she is still held to the contract, not helping us cancel it just saying we need certain documents which legally we do not need to cancel. Please stay away from this very predatory gym. Management was disrespectful.

I absolutely LOVE this gym. As an avid fitness type I have tried many gyms and this is one is by far my favorite. It's never very busy, the community here is amazing and the owner is committed to growth and giving his members the best experience possible. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone considering joining or switching.

Was a member for a few years. I moved out of town so I decided to cancel my membership. I was told I couldn’t cancel in person and instead I had to send a letter to the owner. I did that and I stopped getting billed so I figured my membership cancellation went through. Well this year I started getting billed again. I called to ask why and was told there’s no record of me cancelling my membership and I now somehow owe almost $500. I told them if there was a way I could pause the account until I got back from deployment to figure this out. They said they would look into it but I have yet to receive any news. I strongly recommend you choose a more professional gym. Especially if you’re in the military. What kind of gym would continue to charge a service member while they’re overseas?

Horrible. DO NOT GO HERE. My husband went in person to cancel then months later they started charging us again in February. Claim they have no record of him even canceling. They continue to take money from us each month and we're already struggling to get by. They claim we owe them $700 and will accept $400 to stop the monthly payments. They literally gave us trapped by saying they will send us to collections if we change our card info. And they refuse to stop charging us monthly until we pay them money that we somehow "owe them" it's so frustrating

Becareful these people are crooks. I ran into the same situation as all the other folks in the neighborhood. When we missed our secound payment that start threatening us with collection. And when we wanted to cancel the agreement because we are moving they start asking us for rental agreement and electric bill. But when we were opening account with them they weren't even going to tell us about 1 year agreement untill I asked and when I toll them that we could move this spring they said: oh no big deal you will just notify us 30 day before you move and we will cancel this agreement. Bunch of liers who do not want to work, just cheat people on money. I will go to court if neccessary because it's not about money to me. I will not allow to be treated like this!

Garbage gym. Cancelled my membership months ago and continue to get charged. Called multiple times and was told a manager would look into it. Now getting text messages threatening to send me to collections. I have never dealt with a more unprofessional business and have never had such issues with other gyms. Avoid this place at all costs people. I will be asking close friends and family to cancel their memberships.

They keep cards on file and charge you whenever they feel like it. I havent been there since 2019 they finally stopped charging me in December 2021 after asking for months and just charged me again in September 2022. Terrible.

I was a member for about a month until I moved. When I moved I called and cancelled my membership- the guy I spoke with said he would fill the form out for me and said if the manager had any problems he would call me. I received no call back so I Assumed it was cancelled. Fast forward about 2 months later, I noticed they had taken over $300 from my account. I called and spoke to the new "manager" and she assured me that it would be refunded and my membership would be cancelled. Its now 4 months later and they are STILL taking money from my account- I have tried to call numerous times and the phone goes to voicemail and says the voicemail box is full. This establishment has stolen over $400 from my bank account without my knowledge and won't even answer their phone.

UPDATE-

Jeannette the bookkeeper reached out to me and I was met with nothing but attitude. I will be taking further action with the bank and the BBB. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY- they are thieves and have no idea how to handle customer complaints. 10/10 do not recommend you giving them your banking information

In all honestly this is not a beginners best ideal gym. Many machines in the gym are broken malfunctioning and are either falling apart. Many of the pads on weight machines are worn out and exposed which doesn’t give a good impression. Instead of replacing machine they chose to fix it instead which causes more problems because the machines that have been fixed are uneven, have different parts on both handles and don’t function properly. As a professional I recommend a more beginner friendly gym such as crunch or planet fitness. 40+ a month is not worth the money for the mediocre machines in this gym. Lighting is absolutely horrendous and even is flicking. The gym itself is clean but it doesn’t look to be so, weights are thrown everywhere, they are not organized properly, there are not enough weight holders for the amount of weights there are present. This would not be an ideal weightlifters gym, not to mention the weight room is on the second floor so if you need to use the bathroom you have to exit the building and good down stairs to use it. And if you Tun out of water there is no place to fill your water bottle unless you want to take the chance with the school water fountain it has.

I honestly used to enjoy this gym. There were only a couple things that irritated me such as being charged for my membership when closed during the lock downs, being charged for child care when they no longer offered it, (without being reimbursed for either) and lastly, them not opening qt 4:30 like they claimed. The front desk people show up late, aren't there when you need them and have no authorization to cancel memberships. Only the manager who is never there can do that. I only came to this gym once in January and had since tried to call the cancel. They never answer the phones so I went in and requested cancellation of my membership as I had moved away from Lincoln. The front desk girl said she did not have the authorization to cancel the membership that we needed to send a letter I wrote a letter for her to give the manager at that time and left. An hour later she called and left a voicemail stating that membership cancellation letters had to be mailed. I mailed my letter a month ago and just got charged over the amount of my membership again. I will be disputing as fraud and putting my review everywhere I can until this is fixed. This is the first bad review I've ever left but it is much deserved.

I wish I could give this place zero stars. The management is terrible. In order to cancel your membership you have so send in a MAILED letter. My boyfriend and I tried to hand deliver the letter canceling our membership but they wouldn’t accept it. The manager is almost never there (conveniently) and the front desk employee was extremely rude to us. There apparently is only one person working at a time, and they do not have the authorization to cancel memberships - ridiculous! So we kindly asked for the managers number and they, again, did not have the authorization to hand out the managers number.

So now I will be sending in a certified letter to cancel my membership to make sure that the gym actually receives the cancellation letter.

I would NOT recommend joining this gym!

I was charged for multiple months of membership that they weren’t open for and then for some reason we have to send in a letter with postage to cancel our membership.

Like, can’t just bring in a letter or go there in person. You have to physically mail with postage a letter to cancel. I don’t own stamps or letter material because it’s 2020. Makes no sense and is poor customer service designed to very obviously make it harder to cancel.

I'm giving 5 stars because as a business owner who has taken over previous business I know how challenging it can be. However, I am leaving this review because as a customer I'm disappinted in the level of standard for cleanliness. I believe it is a little cleaner than the previous owners but comparing with low standards is never a good thing. Compare with high standards and try to emulate those. If we compare with how it was before which we all know was terrible, then how much really has to be done to be "better than the last owners?" Not much. Why not go to LifeTime Fitness and compare with them or Villa Sport in terms of cleanliness and maintenance standards? I briefly met the owner, or at least the son, not sure of the relationship but he introduced himself as "my mom owns the building" and he seemed professional, welcoming and very positive about making improvements. I believed in HIS story that they were passionate about making things a high standard rather than looking around for myself, and I purchased 6 months in advance, who wouldn't, the price is right. As I've been working out though I have noticed that the cleanliness is actually very poor. The cardio machines are especially bad with layers of dirt almost like dried mud all over the area where the feet go, dust and debris all around and under the machine's and layers of buildup around other extremities. The free weight area is also very dirty with layers of buildup over the extremities and under. Padding is ripped and torn on many, if not most of the machines. Corners are full of dust bunnies and garbage is visible in various areas. This is from coming and observing over the course of about 3 weeks so it isn't a one time observation. With all that said, I am disappointed because all that it would take is a group of 3 to 5 people, maybe the family of owners or even a group of volunteers from members (I'd volunteer), to go in one day and do some deep cleaning and detailing to make all the machines sparkle like new and then move equipment enough to clean under and around. Then it would only take daily keep up in sections of the facility to maintain this new look. Granted it would take a little money but the padding should be fixed asap as well and mark that as an expense for the cost of new business, or at least the worst ones, there are some that are pretty bad. If those padding and the cleanliness were to be fixed and then maintained from there, then I have no doubt that this place would be recognized as pristine and a premier workout facility rather than just "it's the only option in Lincoln at least it's better than the previous owners." If this can be accomplished within the 6 months of my membership I know I will stay, and if not, I would rather pay ridiculously high prices and drive to Roseville for either Lifetime Fitness or Villa Sport. Again, great potential for having a really great place here in Lincoln, I really hope the new ownership takes initiative and goes above and beyond to provide excellence! So far the service has been just fine so that is also a huge plus! Sew

Gym is great. They make you jump through a bunch of hoops to cancel your membership rather than just electing to cancel, I even went in and talked with the receptionist and was told I have to mail a letter to the owners in order to cancel my membership. On top of that they are still charging me my full membership despite being closed due to COVID. Once I'm out I don't plan on coming back and I would not reccomend to any of my friends or family.

The lack of responsibility of the morning staff is becoming an issue. No one LIKES to get up and be at the gym at 4:30 when it supposedly opens....but for some of us, this is the only option. The opener is repeatedly 5 or more minutes late, up to 15 min - which is all I can sit in the parking lot waiting for them. Who knows what time they actually show up.
I like this gym, for its location and convenience, but they need a dedicated, responsible morning staff. Planet Fitness in Rocklin is staffed at all hours, so we know it's possible to find help.

I love the environment and people here.. and drinks.. but they restock like once a month.. & There's no pool, spa, or sauna 😭 And I was led to believe that towels are included... they're not.. And the tanning booth didn't turn on.. still.. I'm glad it's here.. it's good enough. Much better for someone else if you're into stuff like yoga and jogging: Personally my injuries require swimming and I naturally walk several miles a day so it's kind of silly that I'm locked into the year of membership, but at least it's not expensive

I love this gym! The environment is soo welcoming! The classes are so much fun and the trainers always make sure you are doing the move correctly so you won't hurt yourself. I'm a full time mom and this is my getaway during school hours. And again the classes are amazing. WORST customer service!!! California Ripped moved me to their Lincoln office when their Roseville location closed. It took pulling teeth to get them to remove my contract and go to Cal Fit. This was back in February. They sold my credit info to Stone Fitness, who has been charging my account since they took over. Mind you, I was not charged by Ripped Fitness after February. Then, I was mysteriously charged from August on without my knowing. The manager was defensive the moment I called. I asked to talk to the manager and she said "Why do you want to talk to the manager?" As opposed to, "I'm the manager, how can I help you?". In fact, she did not divulge that she was the manager until I asked. She "said" they sent a letter. No letter. She said it was my fault that I didn't catch it earlier. She said they can't refund the money taken out because this happened to so many people that they would go broke if they refunded everyone. She said they just took the money out automatically and hoped that the people they were taking money from were all still customers. TERRIBLE business model, terrible customer service.

As myself being a business owner, 2 main things I notice first off in a place where i go are cleanliness, and customer service. Since the new management has taken over, I’ve noticed nothing but the best of both! Amazing and friendly staff. Never over crowded. Never have to wait for a machine to be available.
