I’ve been coming here for about a month and it’s really surprising how a little neighborhood gym could be so perfect. I love the Group classes with Rick. We do a circuit of exercise exercises four times and I always feel leaving refreshed and challenged. It sounds like a contradiction, but it’s true. The pay-as-you-go format really works for me. You can either purchase a class for 30 bucks or a pack of 10 for 240. Rick gives you feedback about your form as you work through each exercise. It’s always challenging, but he encourages you to use modifications if you’re injured or need anything special. All of the employees are very nice and professional.

Great gym - everything you need without being overwhelming (or overcrowded). I bought a package of three personal training sessions, and was assigned to personal trainer Alba. She asked good questions about my preferences (no burpees, please) so that the workouts she designed would actually be enjoyable. I'm no longer intimidated by working out. Thank you!

This gym has everything you need and the staff is extremely friendly. The owner Rick has really built a community between trainers and members by introducing us to each other whenever we are in the gym at the same time.
I train with Julian specifically, and Julian has helped me learn how to build muscle in a sustainable, injury-free, and enjoyable way. He also helps me improve without the feeling that I’m training too hard- it doesn’t feel like a boot camp (though I’m sure he could push me harder if I wanted that).
Some of the other trainers focus on different fitness goals as well; particularly I see a lot of older members with varying fitness levels. Everyone seems to be happy and healthy!
I will say that most people here sign up for individual training sessions, but they do offer memberships without training as well (and I think also small group classes?).

I recently joined Strong Island Fitness LLC and I'm thoroughly impressed! From the moment I stepped into the gym, I felt welcomed by the friendly and knowledgeable staff. The facility is always clean and well-maintained, which makes for a great workout environment.
The variety of equipment and classes offered is a major plus. Whether you're into weightlifting, cardio, or group fitness classes, there's something here for everyone. The instructors are fantastic—they really know how to motivate you and make sure you get the most out of each session.
What I appreciate the most is the sense of community. It's not just a gym; it's a place where you're encouraged by both the staff and fellow gym-goers. This supportive atmosphere makes it a lot easier to stick with your fitness goals.
Overall, if you're looking for a top-notch fitness experience on Long Island, Strong Island Fitness LLC is the place to be. I highly recommend it!

Great fitness center for Seniors. Rick is great to work with. His gym is spotless, friendly, caring and professional. Individual attention is given to everyone regardless whether you are working alone or in a scheduled class. I enjoy my time in his gym.

Really great team here at Strong Island Fitness. They truly care about their clients and create a family-like atmosphere. For example, during my consultation session I was intro’d to another woman by name who was there for the first time.
Highly recommend Julian as a Personal Trainer!!! He is thorough, compassionate and understands the body (he has a degree in kinesthesiology). He properly warms up his clients and talks them through the right way to do the exercises. He varies up the sessions so your body will get a good workout. Plus, he can talk and keep count - ha!
Love the people and vibe here and highly recommend Strong Island Fitness for Personal Training as well as group classes.

I've been a Strong Island customer for years upon years now. If it wasn't for Rick, I would not be in the great shape I am in. He changed me from a lazy senior who hated exercise to a healthy, strong person who likes to walk, exercise, travel and dive. He has helped me overcome a broken shoulder and two knee surgeries. I am so grateful to him!

Been a client for over two years and my trainer Carolina is the best. Strong Island is a personal training studio, not a monthly fee gym; as long as you have a session with your personal trainer, you can use the facilities as much as you want that week. Rick, the owner, is fantastic: he knows everyone's name, and the gym feels like a cozy little community. No bait and switch, no upselling, just lovely people helping you attain your fitness goals.

Rick and the staff at Strong Island are phenomenal. Everyone is so friendly and supportive it is an amazing place to work on your fitness goals. I highly recommend all of the trainers, though I worked with Greg and it was a great fit. The energy of this place is so positive - you will really enjoy your time here!

I never could have fathomed that I could enjoy a fitness place so much and get so much out of it. Strong Island is truly one of a kind, and above and beyond the experience you could get anywhere else. My own trainer, Bridgette, is now basically my hero. She listened to my goals and diligently constructed amazing and fun workouts to perfectly work toward and successfully attain those goals. But beyond that, every single trainer here is an incredible and beautiful human being in all respects. They all work to learn your name, and great you with a smile and friendly and encouraging conversation. Whether you're going in to train for something exceptionally tough and rugged, or you have an injury you're rehabbing or anything in between, Strong Island is the place to go if you want to achieve your goals, feel great about yourself, and be surrounded by people you'll want to call family. I couldn't recommend it strongly enough (pun not intended).

Strong Island Fitness is definitely the place if you want personalized and highly competent personal training. Rick Bradley and his team of trainers are all incredibly professional and great trainers. I've been going there for over 5 years now and my results have been amazing.
They have all of the latest equipment, cardio, weights, balancing stuff, TRX and specialized machines and though it is a small space the workouts are fantastic.
Highly recommend you check it out.
