Before I met Tyler I was feeling "stuck" in my body. I had a toe injury preventing me from basically walking but it was a trickle effect to working out, getting stronger and prioritizing my fitness. I also had some lingering mobility issues in my shoulder, wrists, hips, feet that always made me unconfident when strength training. I wanted to address those to get into a good routine.
But I was also apprehensive about working with someone because I feared that I wouldn't be 'heard' ... that what I was looking to improve on wouldn't be fully communicated. I also feared that my level of motivation or input wouldn't be matched - like either I would be more focused than you and feel like I wasn't getting enough OR that you were more focused than me and pushing me harder than I wanted to go at any point. Neither of these fears came true. Not sure if you just took great notes or what but I found it so awesome that after explaining my concerns you just 'got it' and have clearly had experience with similar body types which made me feel not so alone in it all! I felt like you really nailed it by comparing my 'hypermobility' to the 'dancer' style body - that clicked and reassured me that I was in the right spot. I also never felt pressured to do anything more than I was comfortable with - ie. 'oh you should really be coming every day'. Also never felt like we let up with mobility relative to strength training, it was / still is equal in the focus which is what i wanted and was hoping wouldn’t just be one way or the other.
Since working with Tyler I am more in tune with my weaknesses and strengths. In particular, my glutes have seen big changes, I feel way better walking, squatting. I feel way less prone to injury in my upper body due to all the shoulder mobility we've done. Mentally I am way more confident in my body. Also mentally through our training I've been able to experience deeper understandings of pain, endurance, hunger, thirst, strength and fatigue all which are physical things but mentally getting in tune with the levels that I experience those feelings has been awesome. I can more easily be in tune with my body.
I also now know how to lift weights!! So stoked on that and it's super life changing because I'll be using the tools you gave me for the rest of my life!
The unexpected thing I learned was how to eat to 80% full. I was skeptical at first but I love that rule/tool now. It helped with mental control big time - something I didn't think I had a problem with and now have an easy solution for my everyday life.
Tyler’s coaching style is technical, intuitive, accepting and reliable. As I mentioned, I think he does a really good job of getting into the weeds about WHY when you need to but at the same time stay focused on getting sh*t done when it comes to training. You also keep it fun and relatable which is awesome for staying motivated, seeing improvements and just overall fun to be around.
In conclusion, some may call him a trainer, a coach, for others a fitness guru - like a sherpa up the mountain he guides the confidence deep within us to provide strength to our bodies and minds to their maximum potential increasing not only our active range of motion but scratching the inner itch for knowledge of how to move the bodies we were given with ease and fluidity - a concept many everyday civilians do not know is possible; behold a Mobility Superhero of the times, Tyler Stubbs a true hero in his field promoting, supporting and getting stoked on movement in our bodies the best way he knows how!

I came to Tyler with chronic back pain due to postural and functional movement issues. He throughly evaluated me and we began working to retrain and proprioceptively re-pattern my movement. As a result, I am almost completely pain free and am enjoying work building greater strength and range of motion. My Pilates practice has improved, as well as my ability to troubleshoot solutions, when I’m sliding back into old unproductive movement patterns. I am so impressed with Tyler’s knowledge. The education I have received is invaluable and priceless. I found the work so important, my husband and adult boys are now clients as well.

Tyler is awesome! I have been doing strength and conditioning training for years however progress has been really slow. I was always getting injured or a joint would become inflamed due to arthritis. I met Tyler last year and was fortunate to have him go through some mobility routines with me. When the online kinstretch class started I jumped at the chance to do it. It is amazing! I have been injury and pain free for months. My mobility has increased and I am seeing major gains in my strength and conditioning training, as I am also eating and sleeping better. Thank you, Tyler!
