Studio Metamorphosis is a top notch studio for high-intensity workouts, strength training-style pilates, and cardio, too. I have been a client since its founding. This studio -- the trainers, the owners (who are also trainers themselves!), and the community -- have seen me through some of my 30s, most of my 40s, a breast cancer diagnosis with surgery and rehab, and I am still coming back for more! Jen is the best trainer I have ever had, and because she trains all the Morph trainers, they are also excellent and each unique in their own ways. I appreciate, too, that this studio is not part of a corporate chain -- this is a small business owned by two people who put their heart and soul into the studios they run. Moreover, this is a workout that you can do as you age to keep strong and also be safe from injury. The Pasadena studio has showers and other amenities that make a workout before the workday super convenient. I am a fan of the "half and half" classes in the mornings, which are 25 min. of pilates and 25 min. on the treadmills or spin bikes. I especially appreciate that there are two spin bikes for folks like me who have knee issues and cannot run. But for the runners, the Woodway treadmills are the best (totally superior to any treadmill you find in a regular gym). The Los Feliz studio uses headphones which are great especially for those who are hearing impaired or wanting to control the volume on the music and instruction. Over the years I have made friends at Morph and recruited my existing friends to go there, too. Finally, classes are no cell phone zones, which I LOVE. When I enter the workout room, I feel ready to focus on getting a great workout, listening to my trainer, and being present for it all. Morph is simply the best, better than all the rest (to quote Tina Turner, who you'll sometimes hear, especially if you take Sarah O's amazing classes)! I always tell folks -- take 3 classes (and yes, you'll be sore at first...), and I can almost guarantee you'll be hooked!

I’d been worried for the longest time about starting Pilates as it was something I had no experience in and I was unsure of how welcoming people would be to beginners like myself. I really value environments where I can feel engaged, challenged, and pushed to do better but at the same time like I belong and I don’t feel out of place, and that’s is exactly what I found at studio metamorphosis. After my first experience there a lot of my concerns were put at ease; I felt engaged in a challenging and also very constructive way, and the people who work there were so encouraging and kind and I didn’t feel out of place at all. I’d really recommend this place for any one of varying skill levels; whether you’re a beginner or more intermediate, this place is for you.

Studio Morph is my favorite place to work out! I'm totes hooked on the Shred reformer classes — they’re so much fun and push me to my limit!!! The trainers are top-notch here: knowledgeable, full of energy, and always attentive to proper form, which I really appreciate since I don't have background in Pilates.
The atmosphere is so positive and welcoming! Huge kudos to the front desk team. It really makes a difference when they recognize and greet you with a warm smile.
Also, they have showers!!!! Always clean, fully stocked with my FAVORITE shampoo, conditioner, and body wash — it feels like a total treat after an intense session.
Lastly, as someone who has struggled financially in the past, it doesn't go unnoticed that unlike many other studios who raised prices post-Covid, they’ve kept their prices relatively steady, which speaks volumes about their values.
I can’t recommend this place enough!! Love you guys!!!

Studio Metamorphosis is honestly one of the best pilates studios i’ve ever been to. the instructors are super friendly and always pay attention to form, which makes such a big difference. The space is bright, clean, and has a really calm energy. every class feels perfectly balanced, challenging but still really enjoyable. the people who work here make you feel so welcome from the moment you walk in. I always leave feeling stronger and happier. it’s become one of my favorite parts of the week. you can really tell everyone here cares about what they do.

I loved my experience at Morph Studio! I was recently visiting my sister from out of town and asked around for recommendations for a workout class. The number 1 response I got was Metamorphosis studio; and let me tell you, I was not dissapointed. The whole experience was positive and rewarding. The parking was easy, the movements were great, and the intructors were super nice (but push you in the best way). I left feeling tired, worked, and stronger than when I entered. One nice perk of the studio is the spacious showers that any customer can use after a class. I was actually in rush to pick up my neice from soccer practice and this totally saved me. Highly recommend the studio to anyone that lives in or is visiting Pasadena!

Studio Morph has single handedly made it impossible for me to become a regular at any other studio. Despite having been a morphlete for over 10 years, the routines don’t get any easier. The instructors are great at structuring the workouts so they’re both approachable for those new to Pilates and challenging for those seasoned regulars. While I come for the workouts, a big part of why I’ve remained so dedicated to Morph is the environment / community the team has been able to build and cultivate. The team is so incredibly supportive, warm and welcoming. Truly couldn’t love or recommend a studio more!

I’ve been a dedicated Morph customer since the studio started. I’ve worked out with a ton of instructors in that time, including Jen, Lo and Lanier. Despite having done this workout for so long, I’m still amazed at how challenging it is and how much of a sweat I work up. It’s pretty gratifying to take new friends for them to discover the workout and maybe some muscle groups they haven’t been using!
I’ve always gotten great service at all three of the studios, and as someone who comes regularly, I’ve gotten to know the teachers, staff and other regulars, and it feels like we’re a big family. I often work out next to people I know and we support each other through the workout, often pushing each other to try just a little harder, hold a pose a few more seconds, when we’re really spent!
Really don’t know where I’d be without Morph, love my workouts there so much!!

Love it here! I’ve come for years and always feel welcomed, and always feel pushed in my classes. While pilates can be tricky at first, the instructors are knowledgeable and are there to help you with your form, adjusting the workout to your level. I’ve never left a Morph workout without an amazing sweat - you can really feel yourself getting stronger during class. There’s a variety of instructors so you can find the perfect fit for your style. I’ve been to all 3 Morph locations, and the Pasadena studio is especially great since there’s dedicated parking AND showers!! The studio always feels clean and bright, which isn’t something you can always say about fitness facilities. There is a positive community with many longtime members, and the staff has always been welcoming and supportive in my experience. I always recommend Morph to those in my life who live near a studio or are visiting LA!

This studio has my heart! I was a former barre junkie but quickly grew to love this studio. The technique, attention to form, correction from instructors, great music, beautiful studio and natural light just lifts my spirits. I love a hard class and I want my instructors to be encouraging. Convenient location with some parking spaces available, showers and towels provided— all extra perks. Standout studio.

I love Studio Morph! The trainers actually adjust my form and helped me through a knee injury. I recently tore my meniscus and started taking classes at Morph. It helped rehab my knee and keep my workouts low impact but high intensity. Encouragement and friendly faces got me back on my feet!

Let me start this review by saying I've been a huge morph fan for 2 years, literally declining every invite from my friends to try different studios. I've been to Los Feliz when I lived in LA and moved to Pasadena when I moved out of LA.
My sister and I collectively referred over 10 people to morph whom purchased beginners class, then beginners 10 pack, and some even 15 class packs. We wondered about referrals and no one got back to us. I don't even want a free class but maybe a pair of socks to show their appreciation for all the business we brought to them. We got nothing, not even a verbal appreciation. I've gotten my friends to mostly fill an entire class a few times too. To me, seems like morph doesn't care about their "morphletes" as much as they portray and they only care about the money.
Parking: THE PARKING SUCKS. There's only a few spots and the rest is paid parking. I'm already paying $20 per class, I don't want to pay for parking. You have to go at least 15 minutes early to wait in the parking lot for the previous class to come in for lot parking.
Classes: the classes are a breeze, they're so easy compared to other studios. I started going to a different studio while having morph credits still and I'd go to morph when I want an easy workout. The flow of the class is different than other lagree studios, exercises have different names too. Some instructors don't even have holds/pauses in the routine. The classes are just not challenging enough. Borderline boring. WHY IS THERE NO APP TO BOOK CLASSES? I feel like at this point, an app is bare minimum. Their latest class is 6pm which is hard to make for a corporate employee to attend. The studio I currently attend has 7pm and 8pm classes.
Community: As much as they portray a community, there is no sense of community at morph. I've only been going to this new studio for a year and I feel so welcomed and appreciated. At my other studio, I've gotten acknowledgment for my birthday, 50 classes, 100 classes, invitation to join a free class for content, and owners are much more personable. You can tell who is in it for the money and who is actually passionate about lagree.
Also, morph trainers spray down the machine as soon as class is over, giving you NO time to stretch because they be waiting by your machine with a towel as soon as class is over. Just feels like they're trying to rush people out asap. Other studios use wipes, giving people time to chill out
and stretch after a challenging workout.
Overall, There are A LOT of better lagree studios out there, in all the ways. A lot of studios have holiday discounts/founders deals much better than what morph offers. Take it from me who was a huge morph fan who ended up finding a sense of belonging at another studio.

To keep it short, it's generally boring, not energizing at all. Most of the teachers are bored to death, repetitive routines, with the exception of two that I would randomly end up booking with. The space is clean, the machines are fantastic, there's parking. But the general uplifting and progressive vibes of pilates do not exist here, I've been doing it for 10 years, and it was a big turn off.

I have worked out here before and loved the owner’s classes. I have to be honest and say it was much better when they had authentic lagree machines. The class is as expensive as an actual lagree class but with knock off machines and it was not nearly as hard. The moves are the exact same as lagree but with their own names for the moves which was confusing. The reason I chose to work out here was to use the locker room to shower. I was in the locker room for 30 min before a staff member kindly asked me to leave. She was very polite, but I had planned to get ready for work in the locker room after class.

Metamorphoses is a private gym that includes specialized megaformer Pilates and Cycling room. There are different plans and pricing that can fit your schedule and preferences. Currently, there is a special for $120 for 10 classes or $15 for your first class.
Jennifer was my cycling instructor and Stephanie was my pilates instructor for the day. They are one of the best instructors I have ever experienced. They are not only full of positive energy, but kept me motivated even though I was a beginner at their studio.
Besides the tough workout, the studio offers filtered water and the locker room that is modern and clean. If you have a passion for Pilates and cycling, metamorphosis is the place to be!
Parking: metered and lot available
