6 Years ago we worked with Sunita to choreograph our first dance. She tailored it to our experience and the songs we chose. She choreographed a beautiful dance with a mix of western and Bollywood songs.

Our 3 year old daughter loved the Bollywood class! For the first few classes, she was nervous and would cry whenever we separated from her. We had some doubts that this would work out, but Ms Sunita was amazingly patient and made our daughter feel comfortable (a miracle!). She ended up loving the class and talking about it all week -- it was what she was most looking forward to each week. The stage performance at the end of the class was an incredible experience. It was the first time she performed on a stage with a fancy costume in front of an audience, and it was the first time she ever received a trophy. It was a truly memorable experience. Very bad experience at the door entrance itself. I was at the door and about to say hi and ask about classes and fee structure etc.., As soon as she saw me at the door she started shouting like… stay of the door, who are you and You are scaring me. She never even gave me a chance to introduce myself or start talking . She’s saying that she just assumed me like I am someone who might do something wrong. I rented costumes from this place for a dance show. The drive to the Sun Bollywood Newark location from my home is about 45 mins. Here is my experience
1) the lady Sunita is absolutely rude. Like plain demeaning rude.
2) the Newark location (address) - when you type in Sun Bollywood Newark (and the address is 35104 Newark Blvd will take you to a residential cul de sac. ) This happened in both Apple and Google maps. So i was late to the scheduled appointment to pick up the dress and explained to her the situation. I have video proof of where the Apple Maps took me.
3) this lady, when I reached and explained the situation and tried to make her understand - charged me a late fee, did not return my advance, and also told me I was wrong.
4) she wanted to come sit in my car, connect my phone and check for herself - and I entered her Newark location on google maps and she herself saw that the directions lead to a residential location.
5) she did not have the basic courtesy to acknowledge that something was off with her maps location. She kept telling me that I put in a different location when I clearly showed her Newark address is taking me to residential neighborhoods.

I am so done with her attitude! Her tone is so demeaning and I was with a couple of my work colleagues and formal friends when I tried explaining this to her politely - and she was extremely rude! Everyone were taken aback.

If you are trying to rent costumes from, please be careful. You are walking straight into a lady who absolutely has zero courtesy or manners.

Towards the end of my experience when she kept going on with her rude tone, I had to speak up sternly for her to cut her behavior and couldn't put up with it anymore. Honestly- please avoid this place by all means if you can.

My daughter aged (4.5) now has been with sun Bollywood for 3 sessions ! She started with parent and me classes when she was 3 and then has done two individual sessions with Ms.Sunitha ! Sun Bollywood is a great place for sending your toddlers to learn dance and have fun. We had a great experience in the fall season for our toddler. Miss Sunita is a great teacher and knows how to keep the kids engaged.

In the beginning, our kid wasn't ready to leave us for the first two classes, but Miss Sunita, quite experienced on this front, worked with us to make it super enjoyable for the kid. She's great with kids and makes sure they get comfortable by having them play some games in the class and then switch to the actual dance practice for the final performance.

At the end of the season, kids get the opportunity to perform on stage which was great for our kid and she's since been wanting to get back on stage which is a great boost to her personality at this age.

My husband and I have been attending Sun Bollywood's fitness class for more than 6 months now (twice a week Tuesdays and Saturdays). This class is a combination of BollyX and UJam dance fitness routines and is one of the best dance fitness classes I have ever been to. The instructors Priya and Ronak are incredible dancers and also amazing instructors. Their energy is infectious which instantly gets everyone pumped up. Their genuine passion for dance and fitness is evident in every move they make, motivating and inspiring us to push ourselves. The class environment is very inclusive and judgement-free where students of all fitness levels and dance backgrounds can feel comfortable. I will highly recommend this class to anyone who is looking to incorporate a great and fun cardio exercise segment in their fitness routine.

We recently had a half saree function for our daughter in Milpitas. We hired Sunita from SunBollywood to engage the kids and guests with Bollywood songs (we had to limit to 1 hour due to other time constraints at the event). Sunita was meticulous in her planning and outreach. She got us to provide the approximate ages of all kids and their gender. Then she split them into 2 groups, smaller and slightly older, such that she would be able to teach them separately. At the event she arrived on time, and taught the 2 groups of kids impromptu, and then made them dance on the stage all in a matter of 45 minutes. Simply awesome! As a bonus, she did a flash mob dance with all adults for about 7 minutes with a few short songs. This turned out so well and all our guests loved it. Sunita chose the right songs for the setting/mood and orchestrated it very well. Needless to say, we highly recommend Sunita/SunBollywood for any of your private or public gatherings. See it for yourself.

My daughter has been attending Sun Bollywood for nearly 3 years now. The amount of confidence and independence that she portrays is amazing and proud to say Sun Bollywood is impeccable with their various programs. She has learnt the 3 great P's: "punctuality, preparedness and perfectness" from Ms Sunita. In these 3 years, she has learnt different types of dancing, including Bharatanatyam, Goan dance, Maharastrian dance and also modern Bolly dance.

Me Sri..I generally dont do online reviews. And after 2 years of my kids association with sun Bollywood I thought it's a right time.
Two things I like and feel great about here
1. The crew..Ms. Sunitha and Ms Asmitha.. what an energy she has with training the young kids and toddlers and the perfection she looks for at every time. Kudos. No shortcuts.
2. The planning. Now four recitals done. Minor and major..you should see the details of things they look into. Start from costume, makeup, timings and all the way until getting things with perfection.

We got 2 dances choreographed for our sangeet. A marathi medley and a telugu song! It was so much fun learning from Sunita Ma'am. She was patient and very accommodating! “Dance is a conversation between Body and Soul”. This is what i have always believed and felt. Being a dancer, I wanted my daughter to experience the fun in dancing. When she showed interest in dance, i started seeking her a class and a Guru, who can teach her to express her inner happiness through dance. And after meeting Ms Sunita for the first time, I knew she is the one!!! My 3 year old princess started her first ever dance class at Sun Bollywood with Ms Sunita at the Central Fremont location in 3-5 yrs old class. I could not be more happier with my decision to choose Sun Bollywood for my daughter. Ms Sunita is a super nice instructor who knows exactly how to engage these little munchkins and teach them how to have fun in dancing. The effort she puts in, is truly commendable. She remembers the name of each and every kid in class just after the first meeting. The class sizes are small so that each kid gets undivided attention. Timely emails, Reminders, Songs, Halloween Celebration, Christmas Candies, Stickers after each class, amazing dance moves are the things that makes Sun Bollywood stand out from others. Last but not the least, there is an optional recital ceremony after the course to instill confidence in these children at a young age. All in all, my daughter is totally in love with her dance class with Ms Sunita and she is certainly continuing Sun Bollywood till she becomes an expert !!
