Welcome to Sweat Yoga! Our classes are designed to take you to your physical and mental edge - the infrared-heat, dark room, no mirrors and dynamic music create the perfect ambiance to develop your practice and go inward. Most classes include a free flow format where instructors guide you through a sequence and then let you flow independently to the pace of your body, breath and mind. We see life as an art, the body as the instrument, and yoga as one of the tools we use to fine-tune. If you want to be a better version of yourself, and are willing to put in the work; then come hang. We’d love to see you on the mat soon!

For a beginner, wow...Liv made the class not intimidating at all. I actually learned something new. She opened with saying that yoga is about understanding yourself and your limits. With that, I felt like I could keep my own pace and only push myself to doing what I knew I could achieve slowly instead of trying to keep up with everyone. The flow was great, soundtrack amazing, ambience, her pitch/tone also gracious. I did hot yoga once and didn't think I would ever return but I think this one experience may have convinced me to being a regular at Sweat...if taught by Liv for now.

Olivia was a great instructor for this first timer trying out hot yoga. She gave lots of suggestions and instructed us through our session at a nice tempo. I liked the different flows we did during our class. I tend to get hot easily and not a fan of humidity, so I probably won’t be doing hot yoga again. But I will be back to try out other classes they have to offer. The studio was clean and everyone was nice upon arrival and checking out :)

I attended Shaun's Death Workshop last Sunday. It was very enlightening & informative. I appreciated and liked the collective sharing and connecting at the beginning of the workshop. It surprised me that it brought up an actual joyful memory for me as a child that was connected to Death. Shaun has such a wealth of knowledge regarding Eastern & Religious philosophies so it's a beautiful privilege to be learning from Shaun. I loved the sound healing at the end and the very powerful gong she played which brought some uncomfortable feelings. It gave me the opportunity to feel and transmute through the transformative dissonance. Thank you for providing the workshop. It's so wonderful that you provide workshops and breathwork classes like this because it is a reminder for me how sacred Yoga is in my life and as a practice. Namaste

Sweat Yoga in Little Tokyo has exceeded my expectations in every aspect! The instructors are phenomenal, and the Sweat Chizle class is an absolute favorite of mine. The studio is always spotless, creating a welcoming environment for a revitalizing yoga session.
One major convenience is the on-site parking available. Finding parking can be a challenge in Little Tokyo, but Sweat Yoga makes it easy with their convenient parking lot. Don't forget to get your validation!
I can't forget to mention the delightful cold lavender towel provided at the end of each class. It's the perfect way to wrap up the practice and leaves me feeling refreshed and renewed.

Great local yoga spot. Staff are friendly and helpful and the studio is clean. The instructors here are fantastic with a good range of styles with an overall focus on yoga principles. Unlike some studios that are more fitness than yoga, you’ll find a lot of challenge here for your practice and peak posture work/opportunities. The cold lavender towel at the end of class is amazing.
The locker rooms are on the smaller side and lack some amenities but there are showers across the hallway. Parking is available and validated at the front desk.

If there was a place for beginners to hot yoga to feel welcome and empowered through the journey, Sweat Yoga in Little Tokyo made it happen.
It took me years to even consider hot yoga since I always run hot. But seeing how conveniently close the location was to the Arts District, took the nose dive with my girlfriend to try the place out.
Hot yoga is daunting - and especially as a guy who’s inflexible, being around a bunch of flexible people was a big scary. But even going in the first time, I was welcomed with warm (haha) arms and my first teacher at Sweat, Shannon, immediately made some adjustments to help my new practice.
I’ve now had the pleasure of taking several classes from several teachers. Most notable classes that have stood to me so far are:
1) Sweat-Flow classes by Madeline, which are some of the most well versed and guided flows that allow you to clearly understand where your body parts need to go. She’s super nice too and will practice alongside you, even if the class is packed. You’ll walk out feeling like you stretched your body but still in a calm peace of mind.
2) Sweat-Chizle classes by Shannon are exciting, upbeat and keep you engaged. These are what I call the equivalent of HIIT Yoga, though it’s not fast paced. Having come from CrossFit and being injured by it, this class reminded me of some of the form we learned in CrossFit, such as planks, forearm work, Arnold’s, among other weight training activities but with much lighter weights (3-7lbs) and a lot more yoga flow packed in. It’s a great Sweat and you’ll feel like you’ve worked out and deserve a burger after.
3) CBD Candelight Yin class by grace was a super zen, super chill type of class. It was the first yoga class in a long time that I felt totally relaxed after and it felt like a new day had bestoyed upon me, even though it was already 9 by the time we came out. This specific class featured samples of CBD, including a CBD Tea, CBD rubs and ointments to try out problem areas. I was surprised to see the benefit of it so immediately, especially for the topical creams, but my wrist issues and lower back soreness went away and made the class ever more enjoyable. I hope they bring this class back as a regular situation! It’s enlightening and just a great stress releasing class.
All in all, Sweat Yoga Little Tokyo is my go to yoga studio. I love that they offer towel and yoga mat rentals, should you need them, though you wouldn’t see me on anything but nun CorkPro yoga mat which doesn’t require a towel even though I sweat buckets. Shoutout to OMGI for making those cork yoga mats - I never realized how amazing they actually could be, until I sweated profusely on them. Amazing.
Thanks Sweat Yoga! You all rock!

I’ve only done the Roots classes at this location. Not sure if it’s completely for beginners since some of the instructors don’t flow with the class and I have to look at others in order to know what to do. Some instructors teach you the set (anywhere from 5 to 8 movements) and let you flow on your own, but if I’m paying for classes, I’d rather be instructed instead of questioning what goes next, etc. I do love the cold lavender-scented towel at the end of class though.
Showers - can’t vouch for all the stalls, but the shower head of the one I went into (first one on the right) was at chest height. That made it to be a very weird shower, having to maneuver myself to rinse off.

Love this hot yoga studio located inside the same building as Bicycle Coffee (you should see a sign outside on 2nd Street). It's clean, well-maintained, easy to check-in at the front, and the instructors are great. Please note while it's good for all levels, I would highly recommend knowing some basic yoga beforehand as the classes move quickly. My hands down favorite class is the sweat-chizle, yoga with light weights. Can't wait to return!

Sweat Yoga is pretty awesome! The point is to sweat, work out, and fight through the heat. I come out drenched after every class, and it feels so refreshing! The teachers are all great, very energetic. The room is around 105 degrees, and it's infrared heat. It's not as bad as Bikram, but so much more versatile. It's mostly vinyasa classes. The best part is that the rooms are dark and they don't have any mirrors.

I'd never tried any sort of yoga before, much less hot yoga, so I finally decided to try it in an effort to alleviate chronic back pain. From the first class, I was hooked! My back pain had completely gone away, all the tension and stress that had built up in my body just completely dissipated. The staff are very welcoming and encouraging, and have never made me feel like I couldn't keep up. I have done about a half dozen classes at this point, by no means an expert as I still struggle with learning the different poses, but I find it challenging (in a good way) and immensely satisfying.

I can't say enough great things about Sweat Yoga, Little Tokyo! I was a dancer growing up, but have fallen out of the routine of staying in shape and taking care of myself. I first started going to Sweat Yoga because it was conveniently located by my house and I loved the sweat aspect of it. I continue to go because the teachers are informational, helpful and never make me feel ashamed of myself or what level I'm at. I'm overweight and there are a lot of things I can't do full out, but I always do my best and feel proud of myself after completing a session. The studio is clean, modern and has such a positive vibe. I particularly enjoy the Sweat 50 weekday morning classes. I've noticed that since taking classes at Sweat Yoga, I'm more conscious of living a healthier life overall. I can't recommend this studio enough!

They’re getting popular and class sizes are definitely going up especially in the PM classes but AM classes are still nice tiny, 4-5 people. If you only have time for PM class make sure to get in with some cushion to grab a spot- 10 min before class starts!

Great hot yoga studio with great instructors!
The teachers are all very nice and teach great flows. The studio is unique in that they teach a warmup and cool down, but in between they teach three sequences and allow you to flow in your own after each one. It took me a few classes to get used to memorizing the sequences quickly but I got the hang of it!
The studio also smells freaking amazing. They have diffusers all over the studio and it always smells good even though everyone sweats like crazy in class.
Yoga mats and towels for rent at $3 each, if you forget yours. They also hand out cold lavender towels at the end of class for everyone. Ahhhhmazing.

This place is great. There is parking in the back ($4 with validation), they have showers, and a lovely space, but the best part is they really make you feel comfortable owning your yoga practice. Everyone from the front desk person to the instructors are incredibly positive, sweet, and carry a soothing and upbeat energy. The sessions are challenging and therapeutic, as classes are hosted in heated, darkened rooms with music that encourages focus and flow. The lavender scented cold towel at the end of class is a very thoughtful and detailed touch. The studio space is new and clean and amenities like face toner are much appreciated. The small set back is that parking in the area is challenging. They validate parking for the Brunswig lot, but it's still $3 even with validation.
