Welcome to Sweat Yoga! Our classes are designed to take you to your physical and mental edge - the infrared-heat, dark room, no mirrors and dynamic music create the perfect ambiance to develop your practice and go inward. Most classes include a free flow format where instructors guide you through a sequence and then let you flow independently to the pace of your body, breath and mind. We see life as an art, the body as the instrument, and yoga as one of the tools we use to fine-tune. If you want to be a better version of yourself, and are willing to put in the work; then come hang. We’d love to see you on the mat soon!

Used to come here a few times a week for several years and frequently brought my friendly golden retriever who loved greeting guests before and after class. Stopped in for a class recently while in town for work and got turned away without the ability to confirm a refund on the spot because the instructor brought their dog who couldn’t be around other dogs. Seems like business / customer priorities are not aligned here.

Best yoga studio and classes I have ever experienced. The location is ideal, the space is spotless, and every class sequence is thoughtfully curated. The room is saged before each session, creating a true mind, body, and spirit experience. I will miss this studio and hope to see it expand to many more cities in the future.

This just happened to me, make your own judgement. I showed up for a class I signed up and paid for (days prior, not 15 min before) and was denied entry because they had given away my spot to someone else and no longer had room. It was a 5:45pm class and I walked in at 5:44pm. Sure I could have been earlier but the class had not started, the door was still open and people were setting up. The response was essentially “sorry, we already gave away your spot, you can wait around for an hour and catch the next one or try again later this week”. I was not offered a refund. I had to go back in and ask for it. Only at that point did they make an offer for a free class, which I declined.
I was curious if this was an isolated incident and found someone else comment the same issue. Here’s part of the response from the studio to that review:
“Never since the day we opened in 2014 has a valid registration, where the student showed up in a timely manner, been denied attendance from the class they registered for”
… not so sure about that. Be aware this happens here

I registered for a class while traveling for work and reached out well in advance to cancel once I realized I wouldn’t be in the area. Despite the reasonable notice, they chose to hide behind policy rather than show any understanding of the situation. Disappointing to see such a rigid, profit-first approach, especially over a mere $30.

I was a D1 college athlete looking for a new gym, somewhere I could get in a solid lift, push myself, and be around people who actually care about fitness. At first, I was planning to sign up at Gold’s in Venice, but then I found Sweat and it checked every box.
The Chizzle classes with Megan and Toni are no joke. Easily the best workouts I’ve had since college, challenging and they actually leave you feeling accomplished. The flow classes have also been a game changer for my recovery, helping me work through old injuries and stay consistent.
What really sets sweat apart is the people. Everyone, the teachers and front desk, is humble, professional and approachable. I tell all my friends to try it out. Once you go, you’ll be hooked.

I love sweat yoga! There is a variety of different classes and awesome instructors. Sweat caters to beginners and advanced students, providing modifications along the way. The studio does monthly challenges as well which helps switch up the flow and makes it fun.

This was my first yoga class post-injury and it was AMAZING. Took the Yin class & now I’m obsessed! The instructor was Laura & she was phenomenal. Loved her proper anatomical explanations through the class & her playlist was dope. The Yin class is perfect for beginners & a good deep stretch class. At the end of class they give you an ice cold lavender towel & it’s absolute heaven. I’ve been working with physical therapy & lifting heavy while coming back from an injury & didn’t realize this was exactly what I needed as part of my recovery process.
The studio itself has a very modern look. I love that the yoga rooms don’t have mirrors. The locker areas are kept clean & organized. Their water refill station helps you stay hydrated after all that sweating. There’s street parking or a lot behind the studio (with their validation it’s like $3) they also have an outdoor patio area with wifi if you get there early or want to chill after class & get some work done.
The customer service was above & beyond. The staff was so friendly & helpful you could tell they’re genuinely happy to be there. It looks like the studios are under new ownership about 6 months ago, so whatever they’re doing — they’re doing it right! They have locations in Santa Monica, West Hollywood, & Little Tokyo as well. Looking forward to taking more classes at Sweat Yoga!
PSA: For new members they have 10 days for $30 promo.

This was my second time at Sweat Yoga, but my first time at this location. I’ve been to the Santa Monica location, but the customer service there was awful, and their classes were very crowded.
I decided to try this location, and I’m glad I did!
The customer service here was much better; the girl at the front desk was welcoming and ensured I had everything I needed. Also, the class was less crowded (Sunday at 8 a.m.).
The instructor was great; the studio is clean, neat, spacious, and has clean showers and bathrooms.
The only thing that I think they should change or improve is the attention to form and corrections. If you are already a pro and know how to move your body correctly, then it’s perfect for you, but if you are a beginner, you will find it hard to keep up and do the movements correctly.
Overall, 9/10, and I’ll be back again!
Class pass friendly!

The staff takes time to get to know you, so all you have to do is wave, and they mark you present. Also, the music they play in and around the studio is awesome. Teachers are top notch, with uawesome playlists. Parking is a breeze (although, they could bump up their validation time a bit). Yin yoga at least 4/5 times a week !!!

No phone number to contact and limited communication from email correspondence.
Background: I purchased a trial period and could not book a class. Every time I tried to sign up for a class the system said I was already booked for the day which is not possible. I went ahead and just did a walk in since I live pretty close. Thank goodness the class wasn’t full. I mentioned this problem to the receptionist and she said “I’ve heard of other guests having this problem during their trial period the issue usually goes away when the trial is over so just keep walking in and hopefully we can get you in a class”. That’s pretty annoying but whatever it’s not a big deal. I was only able to attend 2 classes. The problem is I was charged for a missed class during this trial period because the system showed that I signed-up for a class although I was not able to book online.
Again, sweat yoga has no phone number for any of their locations so I was only able to email them. After many unanswered emails, someone finally responded saying they will get back to me next week. That week never came.
Pretty deceptive business practices.
Note: the missed class fee was not much and wouldn’t break the bank but transparency and trust is important to this consumer.

This is the mc Donald’s of yoga. The teacher just says posture might demonstrate once or twice no correction techniques not the place to go if you want instruction. Also for some reason the instructor was so ashamed of her body that she kept the class super dark you couldn’t even see her demonstrating postures it was so dark it was ridiculous!!!

They do not have a phone to contact anyone. So I did as asked on their website -I’ve emailed three times and I’ve never received a a response.
I paid $30 for 10 unlimited visits. I have been recouping from multiple surgeries due to breast cancer. My doctor said I could start with gentle yoga movements and stretching.
The location was convenient for me, so I joined. Unfortunately, I was unable to utilize the 10 visits because I required yet another surgery.
I explained this in my email, and inquired about adjusting the expiration date- no response. And after reading several other reviews online about their customer service, I figure it’s best to just let it go. It’s very sad that they are making money this way.

Pretty average hot yoga class. I wish there was some more instructions/reminders during the free flows that was done.
A bit confused about parking though as on the website it says with validation it's $2 for 4 hours but when I went to class, my ticket was validated and it covers up to only the hour of the class. This sucks as getting ready before/after hot yoga takes longer than other classes and had to pay for extra parking in an expensive lot. Will try street park next time.

The facility is really nice but I’m really not a fan of how they jam pack their classes, to the point where you can’t do a movement without hitting the person next to you. They also overbook classes in the way that airlines overbook flights, so sometimes people have to wait for the next class (I recently experienced this in the Santa Monica location). Just feels like customer experience could be better for what you pay.

Overall Sweat Yoga has been awesome! I got the first time free and loved it so got the unlimited. I'm now on my 7th class and cannot complain about the price. I wouldn't give it any higher though because 1) the shower situation isn't great (you have to pay for a towel) 2) The speaker system has been muffled once or twice in class because of the moisture/sweat. Other than that, the people and atmosphere are fantastic.

This place is great! I am fairly new to Sweat Yoga Playa Vista and I have felt welcomed every time by the front desk staff. The staff are helpful, diligent in keeping the place clean, and pleasant, which is always a plus when a attending a new business of any kind. I have had the pleasure of participating in class with various instructors (mainly in the AM) on different days, and all of them (Toniann, Kimberly, and Alyssa) have left me feeling confident and fulfilled after the one hour sessions. These instructors are informative and are always willing to offer advice on how one can improve their yoga skill sets. This is a therapeutic experience, you can actually feel the toxins and negativity leave your body, and at the same time you feel the strength building and improvement in vascularity, at least I felt that way. If you are on the fence about attending Sweat Yoga, give it chance, you may be pleasantly surprised on how much your body can achieve in one hour of sweating it out. My only complaint is that I did not start doing Sweat Yoga earlier in my life. Keep up the hard work and positivity. God bless.

I've been to both Santa Monica and Playa Vista. Playa Vista's location is large and beautiful. Parking was easy (and free) on the street for a Sunday night class. Sweat Yoga's practice is very challenging and not just because of the heat. Sometimes I find the flows to be complicated and difficult to remember and I think I would really struggle as a beginner. The one thing I do dislike about Sweat is that they charge for a shower towel. Between my yoga mat, change of clothes, mat towel, and sweat towel, it would be nice not have to carry one more bulky thing in my gym bag. Especially because most other fitness studios who charge this price per class and have showers don't charge for the shower towel. It doesn't stop me from going, but it is a bummer when I don't remember to bring one.

I've recently started to give Hot Yoga a chance (after thinking I'd never like it) and sweat yoga was my first studio. My first class I was chizle and I was DRENCHED. I had no idea yoga could be such an intense workout where I could burn as many calories as a HIIT class. I could barely make it through the weight section the first class, but now it's gotten much easier and I leave feeling euphoric.
I have tried a few other studios since my first class and I personally like the temperature & humidity they have in the room at sweat yoga. Some of the other studios weren't as hot, or they didn't have humidity, and it wasn't nearly as good of a workout IMO.
The studio is clean and has essential oils going, so it smells nice. Best part of the class BY FAR is the feeling you get when they give you the cold scented towels. I have yet to try any of the other classes besides chizle but I definitely plan to!

I try to go to this studio weekly and have tried both the flow and chizle classes. It has always been a good experience. In my experience, it's rare to find a studio where you like all the instructors, but that has been my experience here.
The heat can make things pretty challenging, especially nearing the end of a class, but the instructors always remind participants to do what they need that day. Sweat yoga is different than other yoga studios I've tried in that it's more of a workout (reminds me of corepower, for example) and the classes include having participants flow on their own for a few minutes I think about 3 times per class. It can feel a bit intimidating the first time, but I really like it. It allows me to shut off my mind even more.
There is street parking that can be tough sometimes, but I've never really had issues. I would say just give yourself 5 minutes to park, especially during business hours M-F.

I really enjoy this studio. The location is great, ample
parking, easy and accessible to get to the studio. The Playa Vista studio is a hidden gem. Located in the new “techy” area of offices in that area. It’s clean, bright and relaxing. I really like the outdoor lounge area. The showers and locker are perfectly sized for the amount of people who use them. The room is dark and cozy, enough to get an unbelievable sweat. I have only done sculpt, but I’m sure the yoga is wonderful too. Studio manager is extremely inviting. I haven’t had a bad experience except I overheard a guy choosing his yoga classes based on if the instructor was “hot” or not. Smh. Otherwise, it’s hip, classy, fun, great music, and looks like they have lots of events. I look forward to my classes there.

I discovered this studio via Classpass and I was hooked after the first class. It gets hot and you do sweat but keep in mind that the heat allows you to go deeper into your stretches as wall we generates more heat in your body. It also detoxifies.
As a tip, if you tend to sweat a lot, I would bring some kind of electrolyte because the profuse sweating will create an electrolyte imbalance in your body. I personally bring coconut water but any type of electrolyte works. They also sell them at the studio.
The instructors are all very knowledgeable and you can make the class your own in each of the three sequences where they give you time to flow (either following the set routine or coloring outside of it).

Sweat Yoga is hands down my favorite place to go for hot yoga in Los Angeles - they have convenient locations, big rooms, it's dark with no mirrors so you don't have to worry about what you look like, and they always have the BEST music!

I was so excited to attend the special event Sweat yoga was doing with Trunk Club I drove 30 min in traffic to get to Playa. I parked right at 7 and walked up to the building marked with the address and it says Sweat Yoga doors are all locked I continue walking around to try to find the entrance. I finally give up and call to try and get help finding them. I am told that my spot was given away 5 min before class stated to someone on the wait list. I was then told to read the directions, which I already had Not helpful. I understand the building is on the corner I was not at the wrong address however Never could find the location. Extremely poor signage!
I will never go back. If you do try to attend a class I advise you get there 30-45 min early so you can spend enough time walking around the entire building to locate your class or you could go someplace that's easy to find and has parking like I intend to do.

New to sweat yoga and I'm in love. The studio is welcoming and nice. I always come out of class like I've gotten a great yoga session in the warmth of the heat lights. Great music. It's nice after a session to cool down outside on their nice patio furniture. At the end of every class you get a cold towel to put over your face or on your neck during shavasana, and you can't beat that.

Sweat Yoga is a very clean, friendly, beautiful, and hip yoga studio. I have attended about 7 classes here on ClassPass and I this is my go-to yoga studio. There is a perfect balance of calm and relaxation with getting a good workout (they have weights if you want that extra push!). This studio is so mindful in the clients experience which is shown by the sweet little surprise of a lavender towel given at the end of each session. Highly recommend this studio!

Sweat yoga has become my favorite studio on the west side of LA. I go for the music but its the clean environment and friendly staff that brings me back. I've been doing yoga for about a year now 2-3 times a week and since finding sweat i've gained more confidence in my practice. The time to flow on your own has allowed your own personal touch and makes it more enjoyable and more me.

There aren't a lot of great hot yoga spots on the west side, so I was very happy to have found this studio! Parking is easy for the early AM classes, and the showers/locker room are great. Both teachers I've had are fantastic and I really like the structure of the class. It's very similar to Y7 but in a way bigger and cleaner space. Only downsides so far - rentals are a little pricey and there are only 2 showers in women's locker room so a line can build up.

I love this place! I've been coming regularly as part of classpass for a few months now and I've never had a bad experience. The flow is so relaxing, yet challenging, and the music is inspiring - not always the cliche yoga music - but often a mix of today's hits which keeps it fresh. The cool, lavender towel at the end is worth it alone! I also love that the instructors give you a little bit of time to do the flow on your own, and they encourage you to do what feels good. It takes out the rigidity of a stricter practice and gives you the freedom to focus on a part of the body that needs it more. So glad this location opened up!

I've loved all of my experiences at Sweat Yoga studios, especially my recent class at the Playa Vista studio.
Everyone working in the studio had calm, friendly energies, and the half way filled class was energizing yet restorative. The music is always perfectly timed and (my favorite part) they end the class with a cool lavender towel. I especially loved the flow that Sam Wyman led us through that day because she consistently encouraged us all to flow at our own pace, and gave helpful notes on adjustments for better alignment. I had taken 3 weeks off from working out and left the class feeling strong again! Another important note, parking was a breeze, they validate parking in the structure but I just parked across the street. Can't count the times parking has caused me to avoid certain studios.

Practicing Yoga in a hot dark room is absolutely amazing. I get so ‘lost’ in my practice and end up just standing in mountain pose because I can’t think where I’m ‘flowing’ next! The yoga teacher, Kimberly, assured me it’s part of the experience and I’m doing exactly the right thing. A first, I’ve always felt judged in a class before, not here. I’m addicted at 59 years of age!

I have always gone to the Santa Monica location (which is great!), but this new Playa Vista is gorgeous. Studio is clean, new, has nice outdoor seating if you want to grab a coffee and relax with a friend after class (Blue Bottle down the road), and easy parking ($2 w/ validation). This studio was also less crowded than Santa Monica, which was nice. Sweat yoga classes are always a welcome detox/destress. Newbies should be aware that after the instructor leads you through a flow a few times, there will be a short period to continue at your own pace. Some people find this stressful, but I personally love it and once you get used to that style, I imagine you will too!
