Had an amazing experience ! Siriji was very welcoming and kind. The space was open, and felt inviting. The professionalism, expertise & knowledge of fitness/ health and wellness gave me confidence I was in the right place to achieve my goals! Let’s not forget that they had everything I needed equipment wise !

Siriji’s small group classes are just what the doctor ordered. Small enough to get the attention and instruction you need to get strong and stay safe without the price tag of a private lesson. Workouts are thorough and intense but she will tailor them to your body if needed. She knows how to work with injuries and really understands body mechanics and brain/body connection. With Siriji’s encouragement I have gotten so much stronger doing just once a week classes. The space is clean and light, very good positive vibe, not douchey in any way (I avoided gyms for years because of this), and welcoming to all regardless of size, age, race, gender, sexuality, or fitness level. I’ve loved my experience at Temescal Movement and Fitness!

I started with zero knowledge of kettlebells--they're just strange-looking weights, right? Nope. Sirji is a fantastic trainer with years of experience and empathy behind every workout. The kettlebell club at Temescal Fitness and Movement was one of the most challenging and fun sessions I've ever had. I can't wait for the next round.

This gym in Oakland is such a welcome addition to the neighborhood. It's accessible, clean, spacious and has a real community feel. All bodies, all ages, all fitness levels are welcome. Fitness is about health and I feel like I'm healthier every time I come to Temescal Fitness & Movement. The owner, Siriji Lamenzo has made a big difference for me and my fitness routine and goals. She is extremely knowledgeable, as well as caring and compassionate, so I feel so empowered when I work out here with her.
