My experience was when my younger brother trained here back when the Ruelas bros and Michael Nunn were world champions. They were really cool peeps. I think that mma fighters should look into this gym as real good boxing completes your game. We ran into Rafael Ruelas many years later and he'd gotten into Real Estate. But he was still the nice and humble person that I met many years before. This is a boxing gym

Stopped by today see if i can meet Ricky, spoke to Juan his nephew and had a great conversation with him what a great kid.i am here from NYC for a few days on construction business with the family. I used to go here when I was in the 3rd grade.But the 7th graders bullied me ever since I wore my ten goose boxing shirt that I earned from boxing.Would recommend especially for kids.it really helps🙂

Ricky was an awful trainer for me. Constantly bragged about his celebrity clientele and then would neglect to pay attention to what i was doing during sessions. Would be on his phone the whole time, yet would manage to forget we had a session scheduled whenever I showed up. Stopped seeing him because my other (non-boxing) trainer said I would have likely ended up getting injured due to negligent instruction. guy is cocky and impersonable

I saw the amateur fousey fight on youtube, he mentioned during the fight that he trained at tengoose boxing for two months. fousey lost pretty bad, no defense at all. youtube fousey and you will see the fight. What worries me is the coach of this boxing gym did not have a boxing stool(chair) for fousey to rest between rounds. In addition they threw in the towel very late around the 4th round after fousey took several punches without any defense. There was blood everywhere, too much negligence. I wouldn't recommend this gym after watching the fight and with a good conscience.

Where do I begin..... Ten Goose Boxing has engraved itself onto my life. I have full life time friends from there I began training there with Ricky in my early high school years. I got to know the sport and what hard work and dedication was thru Ricky and Joe and the sport as a whole. I’m so grateful for boxing and my family of Ten Goose Boxing gym. I highly recommend you go there whether you are a professional boxer or a beginner looking for a workout. & if you are a parent enroll your kids.... it’ll teach them so many amazing life lessons.

I've been to this gym twice, first I actually got to meet and train with Ricky three years ago. He was fun and will train you to cater to what you are training for (fitness, self-defense, competing). I enjoyed every session till I got sick and couldnt return.

Im back here at age 24 and I don't feel treated any different from when i was here at 21. Everyone here is either nice or just minds their own business. Everyone gets equal 1 on 1 time with their coach theres plenty of equipment to improve yourself with if you learn how to use them properly. From time to time i've had other more experienced people give me pointers while i practice. Really is a place for the casual wanting to learn or professional boxer!

This is the best gym in Los Angeles one of the cleanest and well taken care of with clean equipment and good people . I’ve been going to Ten Goosen Boxing Gym for 6 months now and absolutely
love it. There are a ton of classes throughout the day with multiple starts time or personal trainers’ sessions, call and ask for Ricky the owner. Trainer Ricky Funez is amazing. I have taken classes with different coaches at other local gyms and they don’t compare to Ten Goosen’s methods, Ricky and his team of trainers; all great. I recommend them and specially Ricky!

Ten Goosen’s boxing gym is the best in California, Van Nuys City. The Goosen family name has really made the gym a special place for boxers at all levels, it’s awesome trainers, Ricky and his nephew Juan “Funez” when it comes to trainers Ricky is truly the best around, very down to earth type of guy, his fame hasn’t gotten to his head and his a swell grounded individual.
